  1. My love's bigger than a Cadillac I try to show you but you drive me back Your love for me has got to be real You're gonna know just how I feel Love's real, not fade away Not fade away (Also, I’ve been away almost a year. Pretty cool that this is still going strong.)
  2. I saw some Bills fans complaining that Josh’s stats yesterday weren’t that great. Specifically, 17/33, and 178 passing yards. To me, these numbers aren’t anything to be ashamed of. But the Dolphins have a legit defense. Miami right now remind me of the Bills in the Doug Marrone/EJ Manuel era. Phenomenal defense, with a young unproven QB, and shake O-Line.
  3. Apparently people used to think Creedence Clearwater Revival shows were attended by people who thought it was an actual baptist tent revival.
  4. For the record, I never said they sucked. I said that the stuff I had looked up, albeit randomly, wasn’t that impressive.
  5. And I think I know what my father meant When he sang about a "Lost Highway" And old George Jones, I'm glad to see he's finally getting straight And Waylon's staying home and loving Jessi more these days And nobody wants to get drunk and get loud And all my rowdy friends have settled down
  6. Yeah. My old job was really strict about phone use while working, and blocked Facebook. So this was my social life from 9-5. Yeah. I like this place because it’s actual intelligent football conversation. Most Bills Facebook groups are just talking about how they hate ranch on wings, their girlfriend that roots for another team, and pixelated memes about Tom Brady*. I don’t post much on give main page mostly because I don’t have much to add. I read them. But people here know so much more about football than me, there’s not much for me to add.
  7. Autumn turns to winter, And winter turns to spring. It doesn't go just for seasons you know, It goes for everything. The same is true for voices, When boys begin to grow. You gotta take a lesson from Mother Nature, And if you do you'll know. When it's time to change (when it's time to change), Don't fight the tide, go along for the ride, Don't ya see. When it's time to change, you've got to rearrange, Who you are and what you're gonna be. Sha na na na na na na na na Sha na na na na. Sha na na na na na na na na na Sha na na na na
  8. Ah you can talk about the pit, barbecue The band was jumpin, ' the people too Ah mess around, they doin' the Mess Around They doin' the mess around Everybody doin' the mess around
  9. Today I started loving you again I'm right back where I've really always been I got over you just long enough to let my heartache mend Then today, I started loving you again
  10. So I was listening to a Willie Nelson concert on YouTube tonight. Playing in the background while I fiddled on my phone smoking a cigar. The next video it played was “Jerry Garcia and Merle Saunders.” 10/11/1973. Keystone. Barkley CA. Just the audio, no video. I gotta say, I’m actually digging this.
  11. When I first started here I was working tech support for a major TV Provider. Essentially every problem boiled down to like four issues, so I was pretty much on autopilot for 95% of the calls I took. And the company didn’t care as long as the job was done.
  12. Nope. I got a job that involves more than 1.5 hours of my attention in an 8 hour shift.
  13. Whiskey River take my mind. Don’t let her memory torture me. Whiskey River don’t run dry, you're all I got to take care of me.
  14. Happy Festivus! I got a lot of problems with you people, and now you’re all gonna head about them! Let the airing of grievances 2020 commence.
  15. The worst part about the exclusivity contract was the effect it had on baseball. MVP 05 was the greatest baseball game ever made. Top ten sports games for sure. But after EA signed this with the NFL, 2k sports signed one with MLB. MVP made a few more games with college teams, but they didn't sell, so they stopped making it. RBI Baseball is garbage. The show sucked for a while, but has finally gotten pretty good, but not MVP levels. Madden barely changes lately. I usually just buy the version that's a year or two old. Same game with outdated rosters for like $10 or less. Didn't you idiots learn anything in middle school science class? The state of Madden. Water, Liquid, Madden, and Gas.
  16. 2143 in order for my personal favorite. But 1 and 4 swap depending on the day. I always thought that was cool too. Not sure how intentional that was considering they were the last and first songs on side 1 and 2, so they wouldn't have transitioned as smoothly as it does now with CDs/Tapes/digital downloads. Although I put this record on to fall asleep once or twice. I stopped because the repetitiveness of the ending of She's So Heavy lulls you to sleep, and the sudden stop actually shot me back awake.
  17. I keep thinkin' 'bout that night in Memphis,Lord, I thought I was in Heaven.I keep thinkin' 'bout that night in Memphis,I thought I was in Heaven. But I was stumblin' through the parking lotof an invisible seven eleven.
  18. I had this discussion on Facebook, and brought it here because I know how many deadheads there are here. They asked some of the same questions I was asked here as far as what I've heard. I honestly couldn't name many songs outside of their hits. Casey Jones, Truckin, Touch of Gray, etc. But I've looked up live performances and wasn't impressed. According to some of my friends, they said some of the same things you've hit on here. That the best recordings are either some of the newer stuff, like within the past 20 years or so, which I'd always assumed anything after Jerry died wasn't truly considered "canon," or their stuff from the early to mid 70s. The stuff I'd checked out was from the late 70s-80s-ish. Which according to my friends, was when half of their shows were experimenting with weird stuff that didn't always come out very good, or the whole band was way too into heroin at the time. Again, someone else's opinion, not my own. I'll check some of it out in the next few days, and report what I hear. Any suggestions from those eras?
  19. Honestly, I've made enough troll posts here, that I can see why it comes off this way. But I'm not. I'm not even trying to be rude. I'm genuinely asking what I'm missing? Am I listening to the wrong concerts or what? I've never heard anything that's overly impressed me. I'm not a stoner, but I've always been into stoner music. I never really got into Pink Floyd until later in life. I had to write a piece about a local tribute band for a music magazine. In doing research I found a greater respect for them that I never had. Part of why I'm asking here, maybe I'm missing that same thing that I was missing with Floyd.
  20. I know I'm stepping on some toes here, but I'm honestly asking, not just trying to cause trouble. I can’t be the only person that’s tried, multiple times, to get into the Grateful Dead and just can’t. From what I've listened to, they’re just not that great. They come off as a poor man’s Allman Brothers. If there’s something I’m missing, let me know. Their guitar playing is average at best, their singing is atrocious. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about rock music, especially from that era. I just don’t hear it.
  21. They ought to give me the Wurlitzer prizeFor all the silver I led slide down the slotPlaying those songs sung blueHelp me remember youI don't want to get over you
  22. I got lumps in my throat When I saw her comin' down the aisle I got the wiggles in my knees When she looked at me and sweetly smiled There she is again Standin' over by the record machine Looking like a model On the cover of a magazine She's too cute to be a minute over seventeen
  23. So we all know that Pegula pulled a fast one on the NFL by buying the Buffalo Bills, despite owning the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL, which was against NFL rules at the time. He's obviously a slick businessman. I was talking with @BringBackFergy about this, and we came up with a genius solution. Here's what we need to do. Sign Tre White to a $15 million contract. Then, Pegula, seperately from the Buffalo Bills, signs him to an additional $10-15 million dollar a year endorsement deal for the 716 Bar. Saving cap space, and still giving the man what he wants.
