Nothing like countering misinformation with more misinformation. I suppose that it's good that they're at least up front and honest about their mission.
What would Jesus Wiki?
Highlights from the article:
Conservapedia brands itself on its main page as "a much-needed alternative to Wikipedia, which is increasingly anti-Christian and anti-American."
"The site is intended as a resource for the general audience, but without the defects of Wikipedia," says Conservapedia's project leader, Andy Schlafly, a conservative writer and attorney.
Schlafly argues that Wikipedia's content displays a liberal bias, and that the site is rife with so much gossip, vulgarity and long-winded writing that it has become unusable as an educational resource.
--------------------------------------------------------
Using the same open-source software as Wikipedia, Conservapedia's entries are written in a manner sympathetic to the views of the religious right, social conservatives and creationists.

Conservapedia's entry on kangaroos says that, "like all modern animals ... kangaroos are the descendants of the two founding members of the modern kangaroo baramin that were taken aboard Noah's Ark prior to the Great Flood."
The site's entry on George Washington identifies the first U.S. president as "the person other than Jesus who declined enormous worldly power ... by voluntarily stepping aside as the ruler of a prosperous nation."
The Bills are cheapskates!
The Bills are spendthrifts!
AHHHHHHHHH!!!
Can I make a formal request for a head exploding emoticon? The wallbash one just doesn't cut it sometimes.
It seemed that most of the Clapton flack was due to the fact that he was a "recovering" alcoholic.
Anyway, maybe Shane can get those bad teeth fixed now.
Just watched the fight on YouTube. I can't believe that the other Sens players let their goalie go toe-to-toe with Peters for that long!
I've been away from the game for a few years, but the standard for modern day hockey brawls was set on March 26, 1997 between...
the Avs vs. the Red Wings.
It's must see TV.
Bingo. Check this episode out if you like indie music. Arcade Fire is a really great band out of Montreal and they frequently put on a somewhat elaborate/hectic stage show.
REALLY hated last nights episode. Seemed like a desperate attempt to attract/retain female viewers. Too much touchy-feely relationship nonsense. Even Sawyer acted like a wuss.
Oh yeah, a new character was introduced.....Yay!
However, I did think of a new drinking game. Take a drink anytime a character asks a good question and the the response is "it's not that simple."
BTW, anyone notice that Jack's hot Thai chick seemed to have 3 or 4 different rack sizes? They were the incredible shrinking/growing boobs. What a difference a bra makes.
This reminds me of Ditka in New Orleans with Ricky Williams. That worked out well.
Is Shanahan gonna be on a magazine cover with Peterson in a wedding dress?
I'm pretty sure this is what the nation expected to see from Congress when they voted in the last election. Not just a symbolic resolution.
Also, phased redeployment does not equal "full retreat and withdrawal." You make it sound like there isn't going to be an American soldier left in 90 days. The Act doesn't specify, but the redeployment could take several years to complete and there will be thousands of soldiers remaining to train the Iraqis.
Your "cut and run" scenario is fantasy.
I do something kind of weird, but it works really well for me. I am a tosser and turner and I constantly fidget. So, I count to 60 while staying completely still. When I get to 60 then I can turn or move my arm, or whatever. Then I count to 60 again without moving. If I ever move at all before I get to 60 then I immediately start over at 1. It's kind of a penalty.
Works like a charm. I rarely count to 60 more than 3 or 4 times before I'm sound asleep.
You're kidding right? I think you have misidentified the problem. I agree that illegal immigration is a huge problem that impacts NYS and the US, but English as the official language of the US is purely symbolic. It's already the de facto language. If it was made the official language tomorrow, what do you think it would change? The ATMs and IVRs are still going to ask you to press a button for English, and that kid at the Burger King drive through with the Spanish accent that bothers you so much is still going to be incomprehensible.
