My one son called it, the NFL looked like pro wrestling last night
The other son turned the game off after the Epenesa non sack.

Probably slip in the playoffs because the AFC East is very weak and get a home playoff game. Squeak past one of the weaker playoff teams in the first round (probably Chargers or Colts - if we play a healthy TJ Watt Steelers, probably lose that game) and then lose on the road to either the Ravens or Chiefs.
Same old thing every year. The playoff appearance and possible win gives Bills ownership the belief that if we run it back, maybe next year "will be the year." And we end up taking another DT or DE in the first round of the draft and some undersized linebackers and corners later on with a running back sprinkled in. Ownership believing Allen is fine throwing to the likes of Mack Hollins and Samuels because hey, playoffs.
Anything less than a Super Bowl appearance and there should be a house cleaning and huge push for a true number one receiver.
Perhaps even two home playoff games.

It's probably been said here before but everyone I watch Geno play i can't help but think of EJ Manuel. Seems like forever ago he was drafted and a Bill yet Geno is still out there
Please don't get this started.

We play the 49's too, but, at least at home.

imho, allen should wear one of those pillow head helmets.

Can't bring out the same game every week. Need to do different things before the opposition gets a read. Even chang4 the gameplan of attack at halftime as the first half will be out schemed by the oppostion at half time. Make the o a winner at hide and seek.

Well, saving about $8mil on the MIller suspension, so there is a little money around. But, these guys are not playing for that, even for half a season. Now, if the seller will pay most of salary, the ok. (like the Steelers Russel Wilson deal where they are paying only $1mil)

Kromer is on the case. It will get resolved in a positive manner I think.

Sooooo….
Isnt there a clause in most contracts that a league suspension allows a team to void the remaining guaranteed money on a contract?
The Bills should save almost 8 million, enough to sign reinforcements player(s). Hyde? And, lets see what Solomon can do. Yes, suspended w/o pay!

If we continue at this pace, Pegula should keep throwing money at Brady till he stays. Pay him head coach money. No cap for coordinators and Pegula won't miss a few extra million.
$6mil ought to do it.

I still think they would have taken Maye. And yeah, Daniels looks like a stud.
And Maye not starting yet isn't a good sign.
AAron Rodgers sat 3 years behind Farve before starting. Maye not starting is no sign other than Mayo being smart imho.

Did we ever get an update on Taron Johnson's injury or the timeline until he will return?
NO! But, he wasn't put in IR, so apparently not a break. Some sort of soft tissue injury. Of course, he could still be out 4 or more weeks depending on healing.

HOw has White done in LA? Starting cb I think!

It looks like Bean has done another wiff her, approaching the miss of Von Miller signing. Bass not worth the money Bean just paid him. I admit, didn't see this coming. Bass has lost capability since earlier years. This is a question of being in love w your own draft choices. I wonder if anybody else in the league would have given Bass that contract. Bean needed to let him walk, but paid him instead.

My two cents on this is Douglas walks for a contract the Bills are unwilling to pay, they draft a CB with one of their first 3 picks next year and that player is the eventual starter opposite Benford. I dont ever see Elam being that guy here and all the evidence points to that being true. Ingram, while a great story is probably at best a placeholder starter.
Yes, Elam is another Ronald Darby at the Bills. Doesn't fit the system. He will play in the NFL, however, for 10 years, like Darby. (at Jacksonville now, I think, after being w the Eagles)

The Rogers fellow is good.
YEs, he can still throw the rock. Looks like the Jets will be the main competition for the Bills on the divisional title race. He isn't Josh in terms of a running threat, but, he is absolutely dropping it on a dime to the receivers.
-
Miller made it onto the stat sheet at least. The one sack he got was a system sack, he was just there to touch the Qb so he got the stat. He is not what he once was, and the Bills made a bad investment in him. LEts hope he can do a little this year, and will be gone next year.

At one point Tucker commented how well Edwards and McGovern were doing run blocking.
The whole 'bad snap' thing was a media-created camp narrative - a couple lost snaps under center that Josh himself said were his fault with sweaty hands, and some imperfect shotgun snaps at the very beginning of camp that Josh, McGovern, and McD all said early on were non-issues
I was surprised to see Edwards is bigger than McGovern. So, the line isn't downsized anyhow.

Refs not good in this game. First game of the season, and it looked it. All three teams on the field were not ready to play in some manner or another. Bills O line was terrible btw.
-
Brady's O was 60/40 run/pass. 50/50 is right, and its to conservative. Cards smelled out the run easily in Q4 when Josh need to throw a little more.

We didn’t look good last year week 1….
McD doesn't focus on getting ready for the first game in training camp. to many evaluations on third level options. The regualrs need some real bullets to get ready, and they don't get them in McD's camp;. So we get healthy bot not ready regulars. How many oine penalities did we have? those guys have forgotten some football imho. Of course, the official were just as bad. That call on Ingram in Q1 was terrrrrible.

Hate how the Bills are so slow to incorporate rookie defenders when other teams do so with great success.
The is McD's system which is complicated to learn. Play a simple reactive D, and rookies can contribute right away. McD's D is akin to Rex's in that regard. Its a system D and some folks don't fit what they want or don't know what the correct reaction is.

I thought Coleman was the victim of a late ob hit in the fourth qtr, but no call.

Elam still looks to me that he can be coached up to NFL level. But why are the Bills not doing that?
McD's D is a system D, and Elans great athletic skils don't translate apparently. Another case like ronald Darby who now starts for the Jags btw. I don't like that method, as I always found , in my business, the best result was to taylor the system to the talent available, and not be rigid about the system. So, I am not a McD believer in that regard.

Find out where the airline crews watch, and they will be watching. Old trick.

Also, a US Armed Forces hotel will have it. AFN used to work, but, maybe not so much now. I don't know the military presence in Spain, but there is some.
