I mean, I am only talking about season openers. No doubt we have had a lot of other bad losses too. But this is such a high number to lose this way on the first week of the season.

Is it just me, or do we have a disproportionate number of opening season heartbreakers? I am not talking just losses; I mean buzzer-beater type losses. to name a few: 1) 2002: also lost on the last play of the game to the jets. Chad Morton 100 yard KO return in OT. 2) 2004: lost on last play of the game against Jags— big 4th and long conversion, and then Ernest wildfire catches the GW TD with a few seconds left on a force-out call. 3) 2007: Broncos win on GW FG, where Jason Elam ran onto the field to kick it and the announcers were screaming there wasn’t going to be enough time left. 4) 2009: McKelvin fumble in the last minute on a KO return, which led to patriots 1-point victory. 5) 2013: patriots kick GW FG with 4 seconds left to win by 2 points 6) 2023: jets punt return in OT to win it. These are just ones in my recent memory. I suspect there are even more….

that catch was lucky. wilson is a great receiver. But it was a lucky bounce of the ball back to him on that play.

The scheme tonight was to use Cook and Harty against their linebackers and hope their speed beat them. The problem is that the jets were too fast. when we had both TEs out there, those same little checkdowns were all solid gains because our TEs were able to bowl over their safeties and linebackers in space.

could have caught 10 balls easy. Those tight ends were there in the flat for easy 7-yard gains.

Agree completely. Consider too all the turnovers. Odds were better that one of the defenses would get a turnover than score a TD.

I am More worried about how his punts always seem to almost get blocked.

Isn’t this how we lose to the jets every year? Offense makes bad and impatient plays, and then jets play good D and just hang around. If we did nothing except not turn the ball over, don’t we win these games like 9-3?

Seriously. All you need is one FG and this game is over. What are we doing? Kincaid in flat is there all day.

Bills run D is just confused half the time. Got a bunch of defenders with their backs to the ball or bunched up in the wrong spot. Have not seen anything like it.

They need to really feed the TE’s. They can’t really beat this defense with speed.
