  1. THE WORLD IS GOING TO END!!!! OUR QUARTERBACK WORKED OUT IN A PLACE OTHER THAN BUFFALO!!!!!
  2. Good point.
  3. Hack. You obviously don't know basketball. There is no way that Baylor is going to win. They are going to lose to Belmont in the Sweet 16.
  4. I almost broke my neck several times while working in that plant. When they put the pretzel dough in the twisting machines, they oil up the loaves of dough (and this oil is not counted in the nutritional statistics you see on the side of the bag, so the fat content is actually much higher) to keep them from sticking to the hopper. Well, this oil is all over the floors there. I slip and slide across the floor to get the machines I am working on, carrying a bunch of heavy equipment. Not a fun situation.
  5. Xanax. Try it. You need to unwind after a season, due to the toll it takes on the body. It would be one thing if he was out of shape and flabby going into the voluntary workouts next week. There are no indications that it is the case with him (we will find out next week). He has taken a little time to decompress and recharge his batteries. This puts him in a good position to prepare for the upcoming season. I have no problem with it.
  6. I think being a whore is a requirement for politics, isn't it? Or was that being with whores? I keep getting that confused. I guess that is why I am no longer in politics.
  7. Hull is already in.
  8. I was just as surprised when the Tasker nomination was made. Bruce last year and Van this year. I understand the 'Dre nomination as he was becoming eligible for HOF induction, so it was right to put him in when they did. Same with Thermal. Tasker could have gone in next year. All would have been right with the world.
  9. For informational purposes only. Name: WOF/HOF Juice: 1980/1985 Billy Shaw: 1988/1999 Marve: 1996/2001 Joey D: 1997/2003 Ralph: 1999/? Jimbo: 2001/2002 Thermal: 2005/2007 'Dre: 2006/?
  10. "What the hell were we thinking in making Marshall Goldberg a senior finalist last year?" Valid point, which is why I voted Bruce as the one that will be inducted, even though I favor Van's induction.
  11. That is pretty much how I would defend it. Get a guy with a big vertical leap to try to get in his face and distract him, and have someone hit him as soon as he gets the ball.
  12. I thought we were still talking about defense. My bad.
  13. How? 7'7" guys are not known for being nimble.
  14. I think that it is still set for 500.
  15. Another thing. You can put Van in this year and Bruce next year, in order to tie Bruce's possible HOF induction to the WOF induction. IIRC, Bruce is eligible next year for HOF induction. You can never guess what the selection committee will do, but they might even be able to get this right and induct Bruce in the class of 2009. That way, he goes into the HOF and can be introduced as a HOFer at his WOF ceremony.
  16. Cute kid. Sure she's yours?
  17. I am guessing that my choices are pretty much in line with yours: Bruce will get the nomination and Van should get the nomination. Bruce is a no-brainer and there is no need to go into detail on his accomplishments. Van, on the other hand, should be on the Wall. Other than Myron Cope, I am not sure if there was any other announcer who was with their team for as long as Van (37 years). If he did not have the break from '71-'77, he would have had more continuous time with the team than Cope. He was the recipient of the Pete Rozelle Television-Radio Award. He was the voice of the Bills for their entire existence, until he retired. And the most important reason why Van should be on the Wall is that he was the announcing partner with my uncle, doing basketball games. Van belongs on the Wall.
