I agree. Rove has been a target for a while. If they had dirt on him, they would be tripping over themselves to let it be known. As BiB mentioned, it is probably just some lower-level person with an ax to grind.

No matter what anyone says or does, someone will find a way to be offended. A community Fourth of July celebration was probably not the best venue to play that version, but I am the last person to prevent the organizers of an event from playing any version. FWIW, the guitarist from my band always played that version at our concerts. He was a HUGE Hendrix fan. If you closed your eyes and just listened to his playing, you would swear that it was Hendrix. RIP Mike.

Bush calls for toning down of rhetoric

I am not sure if I agree with you. The Dems have held their ground with the federal court nominations. I cannot see them losing ground with SC nominations and Frist is too weak to get the nominations pushed through. I see a stalemate. -

You would need a lot of Coleman gas stoves to do that. I don't think that would all fit in BF's mom's basement. He might have to also use the garage. -

You are going to need more than a concert (or two) to fix the problem. Relieving debt is a noble goal, but it is only a short term fix. You need long-term solutions. You need to fix the environment that they are forced to live in. Murderous dictators, corrupt governments, etc. Start working on that. -

Do you really want BF in control of a 20 million BTU gas oven? -
In related news, the Democrats have already started filibustering the yet-to-be-named nominee.

That is one of the same arguments being made over aid to North Korea. There is no oversight (other than DPRK oversight) of where the aid is going. The WFP is trying to make things better, but they still do not have complete control over the distribution of the aid. You try to help the humanitarian crisis and all you are doing is making their military stronger. -

You had a point? Compassionate or tolerant of what? Idiotic regurgitaion of soundbytes while at the same time showing a complete unwillingness to learn more about a situation than what you hear from MoveOn.org? Take Reuben Gant for example. Now there is a poster who intelligently posts with a differing POV from myself. Notice the discussions with said poster. We learn from each other. Then take a look at Buckey/Juliann/JeffGordon. Lack of intelligent posts received the same level of discourse in return. Now, are you going to provide something of substance or are you just here to complain? -
I would suggest that Nick get a letter from the Bills. I had no trouble getting the letter, stating that I am allowed to use the Bills Backers logo for merchandise for my chapter. CYA.

No...no...no...You have it all wrong. There is only one terrorist organization and that is AQ. I expected better from you, Tom. -

You are really having trouble with the reading comprehension thingy, aren't you (along with a suprising inability to use the quote feature). My post was in response to the GWOT and Iraq being involved in the GWOT. Do you understand what GLOBAL means? Let me explain the concept for you, since the previous question was rhetorical: the GWOT is to fight all states and non-state actors responsible for terrorist activities. I am not sure if you are aware of this, but there have been a few more attacks other than 9/11 and at least a handful of organizations outside of AQ who have been involved in terrorist activities. I have never used terrorism to justify the war in Iraq. You randomly change the argument in mid-debate and try to attach philosophies to people who have never said nor implied agreeing with those philosophies. It doesn't work and it just makes you look desperate. For example: 1) Bush wants to fight the GWOT. You read that Bush is saying that Iraq was reponsible for 9/11. 2) I say that Clinton had Iraq on the list of State sponsors of Terrorism. You read that I am trying to tie Palestinian terorist groups to the Iraq invasion. 3) I say that the UN has repeatedly stated that Iraq has violated the cease-fire agreement including the terrorism provisions. Again, you read that I am trying to tie Palestinian terrorist groups to the invasion of Iraq. You still have this fascination with trying to say that the GWOT is only focused on AQ. Keep digging, Sparkey. Eventually, you might dig up a clue. -

OK, I read the section on terrorism (for Buckey's sake, that means I did not read the WMD section since they are two separate topics). I can see your point regarding some of the items Darin mentioned, but I fail to see how it changes the point made in my post. The report mainly focuses on alleged ties between AQ and Iraq. One of the reports conclusions is that the evidence was not enough to convict in a court of law. Some of the items mentioned in Darin's post were shot down, but others were never addressed. Basically, "we can't say that it is correct but we also can't say that it is incorrect." From the report... From a CIA assessment in this report... This report concluded that Hamas and Hizballah have spurned Iraq, but other terrorist organizations could act as surrogates to conduct terrorist activities for the Iraqi government. It also concluded that there were ties to terrorist groups and that Saddam was reaching out to more groups. -

So you are saying the two are not connected? Exactly my point. 371014[/snapback] You had a point? WMD and terrorism are not connected? No shiit. You are agreeing that you changed the subject from terrorism to WMD. Wow. You make it pretty easy to debate you, when you fully acknowledge that you are contradicting yourself. -

I am not tying it to the terrorists that attacked us. You are. Remember, I am the one that stated that AQ is not the only terrorist organization and that 9/11 was not the only terrorist attack. WOW!! People, this is what happens when you mix soundbytes together. You get Buckey.
