  1. Where do you see that? The only reference to any religious organization is last two sentences of the article:
  2. I love the guy who spent $100K on relocating the input jack on his guitar. Then, he bitched about how ridiculous the judges were for not seeing the brilliance of his "invention." Yeah, they hate you because you are "punk."
  3. ...because it is the government's responsibility to protect people from themselves. Here is a thought. Charities do far better work (and much more efficiently) than the government ever could. If you want family planning or free birth control, etc, donate to that charity. Stop taking money out of my pocket to fund it. Privatizing these services is a good thing. Look at Katrina. The charities (especially, those evil faith-based charities) were on site providing relief faster than any government agency.
  4. I also didn't know that they were giving tax cuts to the top 1% either.
  5. Just follow the next logical step. Since there are those who feel that sex is a fundamental right, we need to increase taxes so that we can have government provided brothels for those poor who do not have significant other's in their lives. They should not be deprived of sex, just because they are poor and are not involved with someone. BTW, still waiting for the fermenter check from the gubment. I got some brewin' to do.
  6. Senators only need to show leadership and ideas 2 months out of every six years.
  7. Nosepick!! Flightsuit!! Haliburton!! No Blood For Oil!!
  8. Cutting spending = bad.
  9. You are really having trouble with this whole debating thingy, aren't you?
  10. ...funny...isn't he the first one to B word when the "religious right" tries to force their morals on him? Still waiting for my gubment check for the new fermenter. It is my right to have it.
  11. I am still waiting for Mickey and others to pony up the cash for my new temperature-controlled fermenter. I cannot survive on ales alone. I need lagers and pilsners. WHERE IS MY GUBMENT CHECK, DAMMIT!!
  12. My job doesn't pay me enough to buy a temperature-controlled fermenter for making beer. The government should create a new program and the taxpayers should pay for my new temperature-controlled fermenter. Why should I be deprived of making certan styles of beer, just becuse I cannot afford the necessary equipment?
  13. This gets back to, again, the taxpayer paying for personal irresponsibility. Fiscal responsibility is not adding more to government spending to pay for irresponsible behavior.
  14. ...and people wonder why things continually get worse.
  15. It is pathetic that the "conservative" congress voted for this and that the "conservative" president will probably sign it. BTW, just because you are the minority party, does not mean that you do not show leadership. Without it, you will always remain the minority party. Time for them to take responsibility and show why people should vote for the Dems. So far, I have seen no reason at all to vote for them.
  16. You cold-hearted bastard. Didn't you know that all government spending should be based on emotion?
  17. I just picked up a 12-pack of Trojan condoms for $8.99. Don't give me this crap about not being about not being able to afford it, especially in the light of the fact that diseases and children are a HELL of a lot more expensive than $8.99. The responsible choice is to get the protection instead of the six-pack of beer, the cup of coffee each day, the McDonalds run, etc. It is extremely easy to come up with $8.99, even on the tightest of budgets. Again...personal responsibility....get some.
  18. Full-Time automation engineer, part-time brewmaster.
  19. Again with the excuses. You and Avenger must be related. The sign of effective leaders is to get people to support your ideas. So, I guess that you are saying that the Democrats are completely ineffective leaders because they cannot get votes outside of their party. Therefore, there is no reason to vote for them. The vote was 52-48. 3 votes to change things. How pathetic is the party that cannot get three votes.
  20. Personal responsibility? What the hell is that?
  21. Love the lahjik. Keep electing people who screw things up and vote out people who solve problems. Yup. The last thing we need is problem-solvers in government.
  22. Solving problems is hard. All the problems need to be solved first, before we should elect Democrats into the White House.
  23. It is tough to get elected when you are incapable of solving anything. Why the hell should we elect people who say, "oh well, I have no answers. Let someone else figure it out."
