I dont see us getting Seymour or Wilfork. I read somewhere that Seymour is interested in staying in Oakland and talks are underway to keep him there. No way Wilfork is getting out of NE, wasnt that the point of trading Seymour? I agree that we should get a QB and NT via FA, maybe even a WR and LB. I would be surprised if its any of the big names though...just like our coaching search, I think this is going to be a major let down. I know its crazy, but I wouldnt mind picking up LT for the right price. He doesnt expect to be with San Diego much longer. I would then dump Lynch...hes one screw up away from a year suspension...just a matter of time.

I’m not saying that I don’t think he could be a bust, its definitely not looking good. I just think you have to give the guy another year before labeling him a bust. I was never fond of the pick; I would have liked Orakpo or Oher over him.

Good point. I just hate that we are still trying to plug the same holes. How many picks have we used to get a QB or OL? I hope Nix gets it right this draft, we need several starters...and no more Maybins (2-3 yr projects)

I almost think the opposite...I would rather find a QB via free agency (stop gap) and draft our line. Until the line is set, no QB is going to play well behind what we have. Start with the line, then look for the franchise QB. I think it sucks that we are going to pay more for a LT in the draft (assuming first round) than it would have cost to keep Peters.

I agree. Thats why we need to make a move for a GM now. Someone that will come in with proven player evaluators. Modrak and Guy need to go now! As far as a top 10 pick, I would almost look to trade out of the pick and pickup as many picks as we can. Start dumping some of the players on this team for picks, even if they are 3 or 4th rounders. Wouldnt mind seeing Martz come in as OC, dont know about DC However, I would mind if it means us passing on a proven superbowl winning coach. I would only mind if its between him and other second/third rate coaches.

His absence might be due to the illness he has. He has to stay out of direct sunlight, so if a camera flash went off anywhere near him, he might just turn to dust.

I think Fewell has done a good job firing the team up. However, I dont want to see him as the permanant coach. If anything he is coaching for HC consideration on another team. We need a HC that has experience and has the staff to bring with them. Guys like Shanny and Cowher have an idea of who they will bring in as coordinators. I doubt Fewell has those connections.

I watched that game. The sack you are talking about was due to the RB not picking up his block. JP was hit from his blind side...not his fault. Love how people love to sling crap without sharing all the facts. I hope JP all the best...glad he is still playing the game he loves.
