  1. We only used the George Foreman last year...this year we have a basic Weber charcoal grill (Cassel) and a filet, t-bone and ribeye (Clay, McCoy and Harvin) to go with the top notch steak. Patience grasshopper.

I think this year it appears we're using a public park grill. Sometimes you can use the right charcoal and seasoning and it's alright but really just hoping.

And if it's alright you're ecstatic.

  2. I think Gruden offers up a fair amount of criticism to go along with praise for each of the QB's. For example, he really raked petty over the coals about his weakness with protection calls. It is meant for entertainment, however, and people wouldn't time in if Gruden was overly negative.

Petty certainly has a lot of arm talent, but he does not seem ready to run a pro-style offense. He's a project, and would be a decent value (IMO) in the 4th or 5th round. He'll likely go much earlier than he should.

I disagree. I like the QB thing but he's afraid to criticize anybody. To me he doesn't want to sound bad because he's gonna take another job. Hopefully soon. As for football broadcasters I think he's the worst by a mile.

  3. Totally agree, I always liked Fitz. When you look at the veteran QBs that could be had this year I like Fitz more than any of them that was attainable. He would have been a nice fit in this offense I think. He would have gotten to the line, looked around for the best opportunity for the elite skill players (no more Donald Jones') and got the ball to them.

The difference between Fitz and Cassel I think is small. With this defense I think you want the safer QB which at first glance made me think Cassel. TD/INT ratio I think favors Fitz.

For this team to make the playoffs I think they need an Alex Smith type year from QB. Just don't get in the way. We've watched a lot of Fitz and some of Cassel. It goes to the thinking the unknown is more intriguing than the known.

  4. I know this is risky, because injuries can happen in the NFL, but I would give up 200 with 100 guaranteed plus 3 #1s and a couple #2s for Luck.

Well consider the Bledsoe, Rob Johnson, trading up for Losman and that pick and E.J. That's 4 1st rd picks they've gotten minimal return from thus far. Also throw in a Trent Edwards pick and I think the Bills still would be getting better end of deal.

  5. As he was drafted for pettine I think it's safe to speculate there's a bit of shared vision there.

Curious to see/hear what he thinks of Meeks given his particular eye for Clemson too.

Agree, also gotta hope that McKelvin returns to the form he had in Pettines d.

  6.

This poll's sole purpose is to help provide a steady beat down of EJ Manuel for the like-minded haters like yourself. The sad thing is that you're using a loser Dolphin QB like Tannehill to help trash EJ.

Manuel's ceiling is unknown right now. Tannehill's ceiling is becoming established as an average QB like Alex Smith or Andy Dalton who wilts under pressure in big games. I'd rather roll the dice on an unknown QB like Manuel than a known Smith or Dalton type.

Tannehill 48 games - 5 game winning drives

Manuel 14 games - 3 game winning drives (should have been 4 thanks to Chandler's fumble)

Miami can keep that loser. I'll roll with EJ and if he doesn't work out, I'll find another QB next year either through the draft or a trade. Whichever way it goes it won't be hard to find a QB with a much higher ceiling than Tannehill.

They've been looking for a QB since Kelly retired. They've found other and new QB's just none that are any good.

  7.

    IMO, this is exactly correct.

There is no way they will have recruited 2 guys to come in and babysit EJ.

If they bring in another fairly experienced FA, and it's an open competition (& why wouldn't it be) he's gone.

If they draft a guy, EJ stands a slightly better chance of seeing his week 1 game check, but not by much.

Joe B was telling an incredulous Howard this morning that even if EJ does not earn the job, it's unlikely he'd be cut, because "they don't operate that way".

I don't buy that at all. He is on thin ice.

I agree. I don't think E.J. would be cut but A trade similar to the one where Jacksonville dumped Gabbert is likely.

  8. Why are you so insanely obsessed with Jake Locker?

This thread should be "Who are we kidding, with likes of Orton and Mccown and with the weird love from Beef Jerky towards Jake Locker"

12 TDS 13 INTS 3300 Yards 76 RATE is decent no?

Well Geno Smith was better. Kyle Orton was significantly better and he wasn't good enough. Hoyer started off ok but by end of season he was playing as bad as any QB in the league.

  9. If Rex actually does what he says he will do in building a power run offense, and a top defense then the Bills won't need a flashy gunslinger type QB! All they need is a guy who can manage the game, and move the chains when needed.

The foolish Browns gave up on 7-6 Hoyer, and signed a 1-10* bum in McClown. Cleveland after they played Buffalo last year lost the next four games to finish the year 7-9. Did i mention that those last four games were all against playoff teams in Indy, Cincy, Carolina, and Baltimore. This with Hoyer playing hurt after that Bills game. The last two years Brian Hoyer has gone 10-6 with Cleveland, and that is the best QB performance that team has seen the last 15 years.

Hoyer managed to play well without his best receivers most of the year as Josh Gordon only played in 5 games, and Jordan Cameron played in 9. Then neither one contributed very much last year. I think Hoyer is the best stop gap FA QB on the market, and it remains to be seen if he can develop further in a good offense with good coaching. That is provided the Bills actually do build a decent O line this season, as no QB will play well running for his life.

    Hoyer didn't play well.
