I think the Coles deal really puts them up against it cap wise. Lawless in NY Honestly, I don't think the Bills have interest in Law either. I would redo and extend Nate right now. Something like $14 M SB and $37 Million for 6 years.... The guy is a perennial pro bowler in the making (this past year begins the streak) and this is market value--if we structure it like this...I am still pissed about the Jacksonville play--but he is a stud corner who likes Buffalo--just pay him. Cap hits in parenthesis 05 750K ($3.08M--about $1.5 M in cap savings this year) 06 $1.25 M ($3.58M) 07 $4 M ($6.33M) 08 $5 M ($7.33M) 09 $5.5 M ($7.83 M) 10 $6.5 M ($8.83M) This is $1 M More contract value and $1M in gauranteed money than Ken Lucas's contract with the Panthers...

Last year OBD paraded out just about every UFA the Bills hosted. This year we are being very secretive...wonder what the difference is? It doesn't even sound like Holcomb visited.... Just a little strange and a big change in perspective...

Going Poston I can't watch this one enough..... -
I heard he, Modrak and Guy were picking out fabric for JP's coronation robe at the local Wal Mart all day..

[News] V-Coach - Bills sign QB Kelly Holcomb
JoeF replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow from this In all seriousness, if AD likes him, I will take his word that this is a good signing. to this Well you might wanna think about gettin a life, wait whats there to do out there besides play chase the seal. You go ahead and be the message board interpreter, your good at it since you can read in between the lines especially when theres nothin to read in between. I havent been here long, but from what I can see your real quick to jump on someone even if their post has absolutly nothin to do with you or anything you said in the thread. all in one thread.... You should have your own talk show......or host a reality show...or something...maybe you can star in the message board version of the apprentice.. -
Clumpy has always used the disclaimer. We can't expect him to know the escalators and performance bonuses in every contract.....He does a great job.

I haven't been called a chucklehead since well.....well.....yesterday...but that's not important right now. The pretty young lass in your avatar has religion listed as "Any" in her profile. How do you think she would feel about a man nearing AARP age (who despite that just went half-sies on a newborn son) who worships a streaking Buffalo???? -

Drew's definition of open competition started and ended with "This is my team". MM and TD's definition of open competition is JP is in the lead and you have to unseat him. I like the Holcomb thing even more because you know that Tom Clements and Mularkey studied the guy a lot when he was the starter in Cleveland--remember that playoff game where he and Maddox just gunslinged each other to death... His line from that day 26 of 43 for 429 yards -

This might be my new signature....I have been looking for one. Thanks Buftex... New hat size AD? ;-) This is a very good deal -- wow..cap hit for this year is probably just over a Million...Solidifies the position for 4 years. -
[News] V-Coach - Bills sign QB Kelly Holcomb

I am not much on talent evaluation...but as I looked at the options at backup QB that the Bills had available -- the Garcia's,Warner's, Brad Johnson's didn't interest me. Maddox (potentially available) and Holcomb were the best price to talent ratios available. Nice job... So I am not getting this cap thing... Clayton says we had $652K available as of this AM and that we now have $2.2 Million...did the Gandy and Holcomb deals get filed yesterday? Are there other deals out there that makes up the gap from $5.4 M that clumpy had to the $625K??? Did we cut PP or Wire---they have to file these things with the NFL first--maybe that is the issue--we have made several moves but they only get released as the Bills want.... -

I heard several comments that Marcus was playing with a bad knee all last year. This was from Murph on the broadcasts and then during the week. I think it could be chronic. We just got younger, experienced depth....not bad if it is for this purpose. The guy was pretty good at ND...

I'm still too emotional to talk about it....I did catch him a few months ago sneaking out of his cage at night wearing cologne, hair slicked back, looking lovingly at the cat......I'm thinking STD....

Most restructures put future dollars into the players hands right now...the player gains...He's not going to be asked to take a pay cut... -
alright this LAW rumor is geting out of hand!
JoeF replied to zevo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why does it matter if this rumor is true? We are fans trying to have a little fun talking about our favorite team and Speculating...this isn't one bills drive its two bills drive. The threads on this topic, other than this one you started, have been the most positive banter on the board in the last two days. All I want to know is who appointed you to monitor the speculative banter for realism....forgive me if I missed the memo.. Everyone who started threads on this subject made it fairly clear that it was only speculation...you seem to have some issue with that...why? Ever read a fictional book? -

No dick size here bud--just wondering who in the !@#$ appointed you fun police and moral conscious of what is reasonable fodder for this board. -
alright this LAW rumor is geting out of hand!
JoeF replied to zevo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice extreme. Took you a while to think of it? Let's see, we already have a player on the Bills who played with Law for several years and has contacted him about reuniting on his current team. The rumor is that Law is coming for a visit to that player's team. What the !@#$ does that have to do with Peyton Manning and the food network. When you think of it let me know. By the way Peyton wants to be in insurance the last I heard-so CNBC would have probably been a more appropriate reference... -
I heard Ty Law is taking training lessons from Jim Richter to be an American Airlines pilot--they were in Buffalo today and Lawyer stopped by the plane. Other than that, not much. I think your assessment probably is realistic and this is not the time to panic.

Jesus how could I forget the human inactive ...that is a solid 8 right there..definitely super bowl potential McNally may be suiting up by the end of the year with that 8.....

I am assuming Jamie Nails and Marcus Spriggs off the bench CG??? is that correct...

I am sorry I thought we were supposed to try to have fun....so its okay to be irrationally pessimistic after 48 hours of free agency but not okay to have a little hot stove league type fun... Thanks for informing me of a new moderator rule... -
Aw who cares about the freakin O-line--we can get Jamie Nails for the availability of the training table --no cap hit..there's your left guard...Center--Let Dorenbos do it--put JP 11 yards back and give him a running start.... Always the wet blanket aren't you...

No doubt.. Did I mention I voted Yes to this....I am still pissed at Nate for Jacksonville...Law doesn't make that mistake.... Fast Freddie gives us the punt returner replacement... Lets just friggin do this...
