  1. Now that's substantial moral fiber, ethical make up and belief system. Wow...what a very beautiful woman as one would expect for a dashing pro football player. Truth is even if she wasn't drop dead gorgeous, this says something about his commitment to himself and his faith. He's always been an impressive guy--my respect has only increased. A lot of folks made fun of him last year when he said the Lord would heal his injury quickly..it didn't happen but I don't think he really cared what others thought..this generations Reggie White if you will.
  2. Article says multi-year deal. Happy, Happy, Happy...now 1 more RB, a LB, a DT and a corner and then lets play---
  3. Look at how difficult it is to find big quick nose tackles in free agency. Teams that have potential NT's who are still at the early stage or peaks of their career never let them get to the market. This year's top of the draft has one existing big body in Alan Branch and one huge potential one in Amobi Okoye. Marv said we had two priorities in order: 1) Upgrading the Offensive Line - Done 2) Getting better at stopping the run - Have to do this by filling the open LB spot and the NT tackle spot with run stopping players with a priority on the NT slot I gotta believe that we do whatever it takes to move up to get one of these guys--the latest mocks have them going in the top 10. We have another 3rd to leverage and packaging our one, our three and our four gets us the five or six slot move we need to get into pick 5, 6 or 7 and get one of these two. If we do this -- I think we rescind the offer to Anderson and the rotation becomes Tripplett, Williams at the 3 and McCargo and the new draftee at the Nose. This is McCargo's big off-season--hit the weights--gain the base and the bulk (he can add 10 lbs easily to his frame without losing his quicks) and begin to show us the promise that he has....but we also need to draft someone as a hedge--we need 4 for the rotation and I am worried that McCargo's foot could be a chronic issue.
  4. Wonder if he sold his action character collection (still in the original packaging) at the same time he got married and had sexual relations for the first time.....
  5. I think trading up is just as likely. Package our 1st and our 3rd (as opposed to the Ravens) and our 4th to move up 5 slots and get Alan Branch. Address RB in the second and get secondary depth in the 3rd
  6. Hoax...poster changed the thread name to never mind....
  7. I am still amazed that a wiener dog survived 17 months alone in the Bronx....
  8. He wants a do over.....no do overs for lying to your brethern...sorry bub... I think we have to ask Mayor McCheese to weigh in on this one... Honorable McCheese--is changing the title of the thread enough of an apology?
  9. Yeah baby. Don't !@#$ with our resident reporter....
  10. That's one bad ass wiener dog--surving 17 months in the Bronx...
  11. Wow -- what a steal we got..... Marv is a genius. Jim Overdorf a master negotiator. Come on--at least Soprano tries to have a base in reality....what's going on in Nashville today -- the moonshine flowing??
  12. Agree on the Walker the summary nd. He can get the yards. He can catch the ball. He is a very smart football player..always knows where he is in regard to the marker; understands clock management. He is not Thurman though in terms of shiftiness, elusiveness or field speed. Fairchild's system can really maximize his talents -- but what really becomes is a bigger, more durable, more usable Shaud Williams. We still need a player that can take the bulk of the carries. I could live with Walker in the 4th, resign A-Train and draft Tony Hunt in the 2nd. Alternatives to Hunt and Walker would be Brian Leonard in the 2nd and maybe Ronnie McGill in the 6th round. This group lacks a breakaway threat but all are effective betweent the tackles and move the chains. We need D help with three out of those first 4 picks...one secondary player, one D-line player, one LB....but we also need to remake the RB position now and doing it with rookies and one savvy, relatively inexpensive veteran makes sense.
  13. Travel Guide for India - yes Advice on weed purchases - yes If I somehow got the ability to grow hair on my head back and wanted advice on dreads - yes As running back for the Bills-No
  14. Stranger things have happened in the NFL than finding RB talent at a division III school. There will be two other players in the mix at RB.. a vet and a rookie draft pick (probably one of our picks in the top 3 rounds) -- it will be interesting to see the battle unfold.
  15. Toronto Hates Willis 21 - number of paternity lawsuits 21 a number or an IQ Where would you rather be than right here, right now? Toronto?
  16. One last thought from me on the near departed...he mentioned the 990 yards and implied he was the only option sometimes for an offense that lacked a line, receivers and a QB (which at different points in the season probably has some merit)..but I noticed a couple of things that make his "only option" stance pretty questionable 1) Anthony Thomas basically started three games for Willis..... - Green Bay 20 carries 95 yards (Willis injured early) - Indy 28 carries 109 yards - Houston 19 carries 56 yards, 7 catches 33 yards His rush average in these three games was 83 yards per game on 22 carries Willis' average game was 76 yards Thomas did just as well -- now you could argue that Indy, GB and Houston were an easy stretch for Thomas but if as Willis claims they were geared up for the Bills to run only -- it shouldn't matter--Thomas beat 9 guys in the box better than Willis. 2) We were 3-1 in games where Anthony Thomas had to sub for Willis either full time or for a significant amount of time due to injury, sickness or an in game nick--the loss was a 1 pt loss to the Super Bowl Champion Colts in Indy. Wins were Houston, NY Jets (2); Green Bay... Not overly compelling but just some interesting trends that go against Willis' claims..Not having him in the game did not hurt us significantly from a competitive standpoint
  17. We are built to last. Nice find jri111...thanks
  18. You shorted yourself a pick..we have another 3rd rounder...we have 9 picks after your NE trade. 1st - 1 2nd - 2 3rd - 2 4th - 1 6th - 1 7th - 2 I know-- you traded the 2 3rd's to move up and grab Leonard..
  19. My most vivid memory of Brown was the day he tore Nebraska a new !@#$ in college in the 60 point game..six touchdowns and almost 200 yards...he could not be stopped. It was one of if not the most dominating game by a RB I have ever seen. It was like the Anthony Davis game against Notre Dame in 1974.. He has talent and is worth a flyer like the Browns gave Jamal Lewis--he won't cost as much as Jamal though..
  20. Going out on a limb again.....I think you got insider info from Soprano...
  21. No gay friend I have would sleep with John Clayton--so I doubt if he's ragin .... seriously the guy looks like he came off the set of Men in Black III -- I fully expect him to peel off his head and have 5 green tentacles with eyes...
  22. I think we are going to draft someone no question disco...the question is where and who and how quickly we can plug them in...having Thomas and Brown here buys us some time to let a guy develop for half a season...again I think Marv and Jauron have someone in mind at RB and its not the top 2....I see us drafting a D difference maker at 12...
  23. It just depends on the price. The guy should be a rock bottom value. We need 4 or 5 guys in the mix... A-Train, Brown, Jackson, Williams and ??? (rookie) I have this sneaky suscipicion that Marv and Coach Jauron are high on Michael Bush but know he might need time to fully recover from his injury.. He's a load, hits holes quickly and can catch...he is also a willing blocker....
  24. The Offensive Line Market moved very quickly this year in FA: Offensive Guard Steinbach, Dielman, Dockery all signed Offensive Tackle The ESPN Top 5 of Leonard Davis, Tony Pashos, Jon Stinchcomb, Luke Pettigout, Langston Walker -- all gone For our remaining positions of potential need other than RB..the market has been very slow--CB, LB and DT still many of the top remain---did Marv and DJ know something?
  25. Means Chris Brown is probably coming here--Brown's agent said it was down to Bills and Lions
