  1. I've got 2 1980 Corvette - my boss' car when I worked at Arby's as an 18 year old. Had to drive to a different Arby's to pick up some ketchup when we ran out. 1988 BMW M5 - My Pop and I took it for a test drive. Got it up to about 115 mph in 4th gear on a back road. The poor salesman was white as a sheet in the back.

  3. You didn't tell me it was your Bday! Try to enjoy in spite of yesterday's result.
  4. PA system. Definitely. Hey Hammer, could we run an extension cord to the shed??
  5. We're with you, Bill.
  6. How many of the cups went unclaimed?
  7. Glad some liquid and rest got you back on your feet, Ross. You had me worried for a second.
  8. I thought it started in Seattle
  9. They'd probably raise more money than their "pay $5 to watch a girl jump on a trampoline" campaign
  10. He was preoccupied with the desire to squash Sullivan like a bug...
  11. I got Lawyer after some hemming and hawing...
  12. I didn't hear anything - I was returning from the ticket office and was basically pulled into the tent. I had no clue what was going on (not that that's any different than my usual state... )
  13. The thing is, he didn't Let them continue doing what they did. They went to a 3-2-6 or some other such prevent nonsense!
  14. My suggested changes: Ticket Girls - these were OK to look at but added nothing, considering what we paid them. I was never even asked if I wanted to buy any tickets. I'd rather have some TBDers volunteer or go without. Raffle itself - once again I didn't even know it had started. I think that getting some kind of loudspeaker system is a must. Group water/gatorade/soda - once again underadvertised/underutilized. Are we getting too much? Should we even bother? What I liked: The Wall itself was a great addition! Thanks to Hammer for that!!!!! I see the tent/tables/chairs as a necessity. Gotta be able to get out of the sun. Of course it goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The people are what make this event get better every year - thanks to all for being such a great bunch of people to party and hang with!
  15. It was way cool meeting you, bud! B)
  16. But you're putting too much into the other team's hands. Kicking out of bounds takes so many other variables out of it - what will the returner do etc etc.
  17. Here's a little story. On Saturday night at Danny's, we were done eating and had moved down to the bar. A lady at one of the tables seemed to be watching us alot. She was pretty crocked and I don't even remember who started talking to her but it turned out that she's been lurking here for 2 or 3 years but has never registered or posted. As we introduced her around she was like "I KNOW YOU!" or "OH MY GOD THAT'S #89!" or whatever. We had never met mead107 either, but there he was with his family at dinner with us. Don't be shy, we're a pretty friendly bunch!
  18. I'm surprised nobody else is concerned about the punt itself - if Moorman is this great punter why can't he hit a corner? I think there are too many variables when you count on bounce/coverage.
  19. You may be onto something here... Of course, you have to administer the test at the gate. Then there's always the problem of people who get *more* plastered during the game. There was a guy one section over from us who: could barely walk looked like he had pissed down his leg was trying to carry 2 more beers up the steps forgot where his seats were
  20. And why didn't you stop by?
  21. No, just the ijits.
  22. Factors: 2:18 left 4th and 10 at Jax 33 - a 51 yard FG attempt is clearly the outermost limit of our kicker's leg. If he misses Jax gets ball at 41. We're ahead by 4 meaning they need to score a TD against last years' #2 D who hasn't allowed a TD all day. A good punt gives them a VERY long field to have to work with. So I'm OK with the decision to punt. But here's where it starts going wrong. Moorman punts down the middle rather than for the corner. Ball bounces Jags way and they start at their 20. For some reason we switch to a 3-4 with Ron Edwards as the NT and Jeff Posey as a DE. Leftwich has all day to throw for the rest of the game. You know the rest...
