All I was meaning by my comment was they structured that contract like utter garbage. They game the team no out. His cap hit is something like 32 million this year and 18 million next. It was more of an indictment of Whaley and Overdorf than Marcell. Marcell, when motivated, is a force of nature. Unfortunately, for us, he's made more money here than he could have ever imagined and who the hell knows what his next move is. HOF, or... Captains hats for everybody.

I'm basing that opinion on Gilmore's experience in the league vs Tre being a rookie. While Tre seems like a fine player I don't see any way he's even close to Gilmore skill level in the next 2 to three years. Combined with the fact that the greatest coach of all times chose Gilmore at 14 million a year when he probably could have had a darn good chance at picking Tre in the draft. As far as Mahomes, it's kinda the same thing. Right now I'd trust Andy Reid's opinion of a player, because of his proven success in the league and level of experience, vs. our unproven coaches resume. I feel like we would be a better team in 2017 with Mahomes and Gilmore. More talented. Mahomes would be a better 2nd string QB than Peterman.

Shoulda kept Gilmore and drafted Mahomes. Gilmore is better than Tre White and Mahomes is better than peterman.

I don't have big expectations for the Bills this year. I'll still get excited on Sunday mornings for football. I'll watch all season looking for the bright spots. I'll be critical of the poor performances, but looking for some progress as the season goes along. I'm thinking about 6-10 this year. Im expecting some real meh performance from McDermott over the next three years. Even if they find us a franchise QB in next year's draft whose gonna be blocking for this guy? It will take patience and a few years for a stud rookie QB to develop. And do we have years and years of patience for a coach to pull all this together? Probably not. Unless McD and Bean show some real brilliance, we will be calling for their heads by 2020

Start Peterman, get us to 7-9 this year, and don't draft a QB next year
