  1. I never once said Daniel Jones was Tua, Murray, Herbert or Lawrence. (Lawrence does have a playoff win for the record though) But in 2022 he had a decent year in a contract year which is why he got paid. Why did tyrod never get 40 mil ? Because he was a journeyman on his 2nd team who didn't have as good a year as Daniel Jones in 2022 lol. You're kind of proving my point there . He actually did get a fairly nice contract with the bills mind you, because in 2015 he did play at a reasonable level . (I know bills fans don't want to accept that)
  2. We will agree to disagree. Mac jones, dalton or mariota have never even won a playoff game and on much better teams. Im Not here to argue that jones is good because he's not But in 2022 I think inarguably he at least had a "average to decent year". 4000 total yards, 22 total TdS, 5 INTs and a playoff game where he threw over 300 yards and got the win. And got rewarded for 40 mil per year contract - if giants weren't gonna pay him, a team would have at least given him 30-35 per year, which would reflect that he had a decent 2022 season . Unless you're in the belief that nfl owners just like throwing 100s of millions of dollars around to players coming off "bad " seasons
  3. He had 15 TDs, 5 INTs with a 93 passer rating and added 708 yards and 7 rushing TDS in 2022. And in their playoff win he went 24/35 for 301 and 2 TDs. Lets not pretend like those aren't reasonable numbers for a starting NFL QB in a season. (Which led to his contract)
  4. Daboll to me was way better than Dorsey and Joe Brady. Did he have some head scratching calls on 3rd and shorts that was frustrating? For sure just like any coach. But I think his game planning was extremely good and he was the only coach the bills have had who consistently would give belichick and Spags problems
  5. I agree that Jones sucks but at the end of the day in 2022 he played well down the stretch and they won a playoff game. He was rewarded with his big contract after that He only played a few games in 2023 before tearing his ACL. So it was either "go all in with an unproven rookie" to save their jobs. Or go to the bigger sample size in 2022 from DJ compared to 2023 , and draft an elite WR prospect to help him out. If I'm trying to save my job, it's a no brainer decision
  6. If someone had a gun to your head and you had to win this year: Would you rather an unproven rookie with a fairly low ceiling in JJ McCarthy, or DJ and Nabers? Before the season being the key words. It should be a pretty easy answer
  7. https://www.nj.com/sports/2024/10/were-jets-aaron-rodgers-joe-douglas-involved-in-robert-saleh-firing-woody-johnson-explains.html?outputType=amp There's no point of us going back and forth- This is what happened with the jets situation ^ and woody Johnson making the call It wouldn't make any sense for Daboll /Schein to draft a QB at 6. They both are on the hot seats and they need To win right now and they aren't gonna be given 2-3 years to groom a rookie Nabers/Jones obviously gives them a better chance to win now compared to let's say JJ McCarthy if they drafted him with no Nabers
  8. On paper. Doesn't mean the owner isn't involved in big football decisions (See woody Johnson in the firing of Salah and Joe Douglas having no idea)
  9. I think he plays this week against Arz. All signs are pointing for him to be back
  10. That corner at the end wanted absolutely nothing to do with him😂 One of my favourite plays in the game right there
  11. And McDermott in the locker room speech was something along the lines of: "didn't recognize that football team in the 1st half". The players for sure deserve a lot of blame, but the coaches continue to get out schemed in the first half.. Maybe he should look at himself in the mirror
  12. It goes back to the point I made though- if ownership wants them to make it work with DJ, they have to or they will find someone else. Example- Mike McCarthy isn't running the show in Dallas. Pure speculation on both our ends, just sharing a rumour I heard- no idea if it was valid or not so you very well might be right
  13. At the end of the day if ownership loves DJ though, they can basically tell the Gm and coach to figure it out with him or they will find a coach who will. again, that's the rumour I heard but no confirmation. But things like this do happen when there's a disconnect between owner and gm/coach- In New York, Joe Douglas apparently had no idea Robert Salah was getting fired and wasn't even in the room when the decision was made lol
  14. Can Hasson Reddick play WR? As this jets offence still sucks
  15. In fairness to them, they are super banged up and 1 TD came from an INT set up from the 1 yard line. Now.. I don't feel bad for them at all lol as bills have had plenty of injuries on D
  16. Right on cue haha, there we go
  17. Watt has been brutal tonight. I know a lot of double teams, but he's just running himself out of the play on a lot of run downs
  18. Jets fans right now^
  19. Let's go!!!
  20. If jets lose, what a day this would be for the bills. Bills win Dolphins loss Texans loss Plus jets loss if it happens
  21. Where did you hear that out of curiosity? Not saying you're wrong, but I heard rumours that Daboll didn't want anything to do with DJ but ownership liked him
  22. Giants game last year - the Sunday night football one
  23. I would, but no way McDermott would hire him back
  24. 99.9 percent of the time I'll never cheer for an injury, but for Deshaun Watson? I hope this injury costs him his career
  25. Josh Coleman Bernard Rousseau Cooper
