I would say that we are marginally better talentwise. But we still lake playmakers/stars at the important positions and our coaching is horrible.
we have a playmaker, one of the most dangerous ones in the nfl but we dont use him haha. goes back to your comment, coaching is horrible

im from toronto and refuse to support any football in toronto because it just doesnt work, but atleast the game wont be blacked out, thats the only good news
-
has greg mcelroy written all over him. played well in the SEC, should be a late round draft pick and will probably be a 2nd stringer in the nfl

Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are Gods amongst the NFL.
Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers are elite.
Eli Manning and Ben Roethlisberger are debatable.
perfectly said

arians throws the ball more than gailey though. hes successful because he has andrew luck. he would drive us crazy in buffalo
-
i wouldnt say fitz was outstanding.. but he sure wasnt the reason they lost. this one is 95 percent on chan
-
nothing really to discuss. guy is a complete loser. how many times have we seen this. offence cannot get a first down in the 4th quarter when they need one. so pissed off. punts at the 34 yard line and calls a timeout before it

palmer is not good

First of all, how do you know what makes a good head coach? Did you think Harbaugh was a good head coach before he went to SF? What about Shanahan, the guy on track for his THIRD straight ten loss season.
So what good head coach are you talking about that's on the market and ready to lead his new team to the superbowl but won't come to Buffalo? Is it Gruden? Cowher? the guys that won't coach ANYWHERE in the league?
You sound like Sully. Is that where you get your information on the available HC's and their refusal to coach here? Yikes. Free agent players, you might have a point, but unless you run in coaching circles you have no clue.
what do you mean? harbaughs potential was through the roof coming into the nfl. he was the best available coach coming out of college so yes i would say alot of people thought he was going to be a great nfl head coach, just like this year chip kelly is the highest coach maybe coming out of college. buffalo is not going to get a highlynamed coach is what im saying, we might hit a diamond in a rough but we are not going to get a big coach coming outta college or a proven coach coming here and thats pretty much a fact so im not sure what your trying to argue here

It's called rebuilding. How many draft picks do we still have on our team since 2000. You call for everyone's head, and that's 3 more years of certain mediocrity where we will be bound to lose some of the talent we already amassed.
i agree chan is not a good coach but who do you want for next year? no good coach is going to come to buffalo
-
we do need an upgrade on fitz and gailey but heres the reality. the QB class for 2013 is weak and no good head coach wants to come to buffalo. everyone always says lets take a chance on a qb in the first round well remember when we did in 2004 with jp losman? if there is no qb you are confident in dont take him and as bad as this sounds, try to draft a qb in the 2nd-4th round and start fitz next year and have the young QB learn under for a year

very up and down day. looked great sometimes and lost on others. i think he will be a good player though. plus, cecil shorts who he was covering for the most part 1 on 1 is a pretty good receiver
-
It's just that wins for us are so rare, they bring a certain amount of joy.
He was OK. Too many penalties.
questionable ones at best. kid is a stud
-
He'd be in your top15?
I think he falls 15-20 for me, with fitz settling in the early 20s, give or take
i would probably have him 15. so i guess average
-
i agree with this. i love alex smith. not the greatest QB but love his attitude and overall would probably rank him as a slightly above average quarterback
-
What do you guys think of gilmore so far this year? personally i like the kid and think hes playing well this year but he needs to cause a few more turnovers. (interceptions)
-
lol what are you talking about man... terrible post

jets for 2 things. 1. my most hated sports franchise 2. eliminate them from playoffs
-
1. houston 2. denver. 3 new england 4. pittsburgh 5. baltimore 6. bills
1. atlanta 2. green bay 3. san fran 4. dallas 5. chicago 6. seattle
ne beats bills. pitts over baltimore, san fran beats seattle, chicago over dallas
pitts beats houston, denver beats new england- green bay beats san fran, chicago beats atlanta
denver beats pitts, green bay beats chicago.
green bay superbowl champs
-
thing is about dalton is ya hes probably a bit better than fitz but do you really want that guy as your starting quarterback? he would have been a better pick than aaron williams of course but i would not want dalton to be our "future" qb. as for dareus over green buddy had a plan and that was to build the o line and d line and yes marcel isnt living up to expecations yet but i see too much talent for him to continue to struggle
-
its everyones fault. coaches are making poor schemes, bad decisions, and players are not playing well and apparentely "not giving it 100 percent every play" which in my opinion is a result of poor coaching
-
And to answer the topic, I think he tries to be too clever. Saving the wildcat throw for that spot was inexplicable. Just a brutal decision. Passing when the run is working. Not leaning on Spiller in a game where it appeared he could dominate. It's like he doesn't want to do what the smart thing is, because he thinks that's what the other team will be expecting. It's a sign that he's lost confidence in the team and in himself. He doesn't think they can just go out and be better than the other guys.
yea exactly, he tries to outsmart himself everytime. i thought he had this game backwards. when they went conservative they should have been aggressive and when he should have went conservative he went aggressive (wildcat interception)
-
When Spiller broke a 17 yard run in OT to Arizona's 35 and we proceeded to throw 3 consecutive incomplete passes, I wanted Chan to resign then and there.
Could not agree more
Chan had one chance to keep his job...

theres a difference between throwing it and trying to score and just trying to embarass your opponent and faking punts. total classless move. pete must still think its college
