Time to put up or shut up.
mary owen replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
again, maybe they feel they have the problem fixed. They don't seem to be as desperate as you guys. I tend to think no one wanted to trade down with Buffalo and if they did they probably wanted too much. We took Mike Williams as the 4th overall pick a few years ago. TD's been smacked around plenty for that move, but when it happened everyone was really happy we "fixed" the OLine problem in the draft. we might as well criticize about 29 other GM's who "think they are smarter than they are" because last time I checked, there's only been two teams that have won the Super Bowl the last 4 years. -

which 2005 starter in this draft should he have taken at #55. wasn't much left. DON'T YOU THINK THEY WOULD HAVE TAKEN THEIR "ANSWER TO THE OLINE PROBLEM" IF HE WERE THERE???? who is this Super Prospect???? -
Clayton Rips Into TD...Again
mary owen replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Light Bulb head blasts Donohoe, but i got to give the Bills GM credit for not giving in. When you say what you want for him, then back down or settle desperately for what's offered, you lose in the long run. How would he play hard ball again if he just gives in? This to me would affect any future deals in a negative way. No one will ever take Donohoe seriously and he'll lose his poker face. If Henry wants to hold out, let him. he won't get paid. Worst case scenario, he is Willis's back up, he has to perform if he wants interest from other clubs. Hold outs are not attractive when you want to market yourself. I don't think he will be much of a "locker room cancer", because I feel the team already has moved on with the mindset that he is gone. Any bickering from Henry will be like a fart in the wind. I honestly feel that. Kudos to Tom Donohoe. -

http://www.nfl.com/draft/analyzer/round2 i love this write up. I think he'll be good. 21 Jacksonville Matt Jones WR Arkansas Pat Kirwan's Analysis This is my kind of pick -- don't pass on the great athlete. I've talked to Jones 10 times since his last game, and here's what he brings to the table: A wide receiver with a limited package on day one but can play in the red zone; a tight end who can cause mismatches against safeties; a third quarterback on the active roster; a special-teams player, and he whispered in my ear once, "I'm a good long snapper." This is a pick that can change a franchise's future, and 10 minutes before the pick, his agent was worried his client wouldn't be picked in the first round. Oops.

23 55 Buffalo Roscoe Parrish WR Miami (Fla.) Pat Kirwan's Analysis Interesting pick here, considering the Bills have a Pro-Bowl returner already and they're in need of a tight end, left tackle and defensive tackle. The critics will say Parrish's short arms will limit him, but he's a playmaker and they'll find a way to get him the ball. Expect him to give Buffalo what the Jets got from Santana Moss. My partner, Gil Brandt, likes the pick. 86 Kevin Everett TE Miami (Fla.) Gil Brandt's Analysis Originally from Port Arthur, Texas. Last year he challenged fellow TE Kellen Winslow to a foot race, and won. So you know he's fast. He was injured and unable to work out this year. He has a lot of upside. http://www.nfl.com/draft/analyzer/round2

Who All is still Drinking the TD Koolaid?
mary owen replied to DeeRay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lee Evens 5-10 197 slightly better than Parrish, which ain't saying much listen if we can upgrade our WR group, why would the Bills pick a player who they thought (and everyone else knew) sucked? this board is getting funnier and funnier with every thread. -
don't worry. I'm laughing at you, not with you

Donahoe the master poker player....

hey, I like baloney sandwhiches -
well, to please some in TSW, he'd have to measure up to the talents of the must-have Offensive Linemen phenom, LJ Shelton
-
Not shootin at you, SnF... but i'll shoot at "The Light Bulb" i can't handle a Math Teacheresque poindexter critiquing the decisions of an NFL front office. he's paid to do this, but I ain't buying it.

Donahoe the master poker player....

that was my battle cry over at the Draft thread. I feel that if Arizona, a very crappy team, didn't want LJS, why the hell should we??? i follow the Cardinals living here in AZ. believe me, there would be no tears shed over the loss of LJS. -
well he better have Rosenhaus as his agent. he was the difference maker for WM
-
yeah, he'll be cleaning something out of his cleats "Got a little bit of Roscoe stuck in here.....got it. Huddle up."
-
i can see him now with a #62 jersey, so big that the 6 overlaps the 2, causing confusion for the Sunday Night crew in the booth.
-
well, we don't look like a running football team. Rosco Parrish. i'm a little shocked. Ok, allot. TD's up to something.
-
yep. i thought i was watching Comedy Central, only it was funnier.
-
i think we will get a good pick at 55. i really do. i would'nt mind seeing Eric Shelton get picked. Big ass back, good breathers for WM.
-
maybe Trey Teague is capable enough. He did pretty well as a LT in DEN. maybe that combined with JP actually being able to move will improve the OL quite a bit.
-
I'll let the qualified people do that. TD, TM, MM. we haven't even picked yet. deals are not dead yet. you act like LJS was the ONLY solution. a crappy team like AZ doesn't even want him. Who knows, maybe the Bills coaching staff actually knows their business. maybe they have a good soultion already. Can you tell me they don't? I'll wait for you....
-
LJS wasn't it.
-
JJ Arington is not all that good a pick when you think of it. Sure, he MIGHT be good. But they could have unloaded LJS and gotten Henry who is a PROVEN nfl back. Arrington can't block, neither can TH. JJA is an unknown commodity. that said, I did not want us to deal with AZ anyway. Don't like LJS and there was no real value for us to jump up 11 spots. The OLmen that we really wanted were all gone anyway. now, lets see what we get at #55. We can still deal TH. Let's move on.
-
Maybe the Bills will get a shot at Hawthorne.... He was a mid 1st rd projection before all the weed news
-
being in DG's dog house. exactly.why? personality conflict? I think not. I live here in AZ and I hear allot from the media guys who follow the team exclusively. He's not that good. and he was underachieving with McGinnis at HC. be careful what you wish for.
-
i don't want to deal with AZ. Isn't LJS a Right Tackle???? and if you could not shine on a team like the Cardinals, are you really all that good????? screw Denny Green
