  1. I HAVE! Not much of a living, but my best clients are those who oreviously hired the Geek Squad, Staples and/or a local shop "The Computer Doctors". I really should send these guys a little Thank You gift.
  2. It means you are afraid of Xena, Warrior Princess!
  3. I bet his agent would have something to say about that. He ain't giving back his commission. And I tend to agree the signing bonus is for signing, but with an understanding you are going to play. So, if he says he is totally done with football, due to him not feeling healthy enough to play, he could consider returning some of the bonus. I don't think it is an unprecedented move. But if the injury is football related, he has no obligation to return it, IMO. And I certainly wouldn't consider the team doctor the ultimate judge in a situation like this. If there is a real dispute about his health, you can get some outside medical opinions. But again, even if he is a bit injured, I'd prefer to have guys who want to play injured, and you have to make them take the time to heal.
  4. Bono sounds like the Lucky Charms leprechaun to me.
  5. I meant, I'm liking what I see from this team under his lead, so far, for the most part. But I admit that we haven't seen anything "real" yet, so I'm holding my breath. I really don't like the guy, as most people seem to.
  6. I've always used that kind of example in this situations. Can you imagine a reporter named "O'Toole" saying it like the Lucky Charms leprechaun whenever he pronounced his name? Or an Asian doing some stereotypical pronunciation of "Wong Ho" (for example)? But truthfully, for those who actually have been raised with an accent, and they have always pronounced their name (and those of their ethnic group) that way, I have no problem with them continuing to do so on air. It's the people who are very Americanized, and probably have never used their ethnic accent, all of a sudden doing so, that sort of bothers me. I worked with a guy who was of Hispanic heritage, but was as whitebread as could be. Out of the blue, he started pronouncing Hispanic origin names and words with an accent. It was so inauthentic it was laughable.
  7. I happen to agree Rex is way overrated as a HC, based on his performance with the Jets. But I'm praying he turns it around in his second job, as some have before him. So far, I have to admit I'm liking him more than I thought. But we have yet to see the true results. And clearly he knows the division well. To argue he hasn't done well within it, is something else entirely.
  8. I'm thinking BADO believes, since the Bills have been a dysfunctional organization for so long, nobody associated with them can be defamed---or. perhaps more to the point, it doesn't matter since they are bad. That's about the only sense I can make of his ramblings in this thread.
  9. Aren't they all NFL opponents? Just kidding, Yolo. i know what you meant.
  10. I think you have gone 'round the bend. You continue to delude yourself this discussion is Bills focused--or at least that it is for me. I don't see too many people bringing Bills wins and loses into the discussion. You seem lost in a discussion not about football. Anything might have a tangential impact on wins and loses. But I don't think that was ever what this thread was about.
  11. What does any of this have to do with the topic? Like BADO you seem to be talking about something else, entirely. Perhaps, like BADO (or so it seems) you have no real interest in this topic, as it is unrelated to winning football games. Fair enough, but there are other things worth discussion, in the world, and on this board. And it's sort of odd for guys with no interest in the topic, to keep commenting.
  12. Jones name popped when I read the cuts last night. Another I noticed was Patrick Omameh, who wasn't a terrible guard at one point. But I really didn't get to see him play last year. And I'm not sure if he has played any C. Clearly a guy who can play C/G is of more value to the Bills.
  13. No, there are people here who understand things besides football, and can have a conversation about those things, without it being about wins and losses. You are so lost in this conversation, it's hard to believe you stayed in for so long.
  14. I have to agree with Dibs, that it seems unlikely both sources would use the term "rogue". But then again, they could have discussed what they would say to Timmy beforehand. That alone should have tipped Tim off. Of course, and Dibs might not be aware of this (though he probably is--dude seems to have more info down under than most here) "going rogue" has become quite the popular term in the states the last few years. So I suppose there is a possibility both guys used the term, independently. But still, I kind of doubt it.
  15. I must have missed the posts where people asserted that Timmy's posts impacted Bills wins and losses. I'm pretty sure the thread starter didn't make that assertion, and I didn't notice that implication in any other posts. But I could have missed a few. It seemed to be a pretty straight forward discussion of respect for Tim Graham, based on how he responds to posters on twitter.
  16. It certainly occurred to me. The guy has a history of blabbing to the press. I wouldn't accuse him, but he'd be a guy I would question.
  17. If God isn't on his side enough to get him on a roster, I don't think he has the pull we are looking for.
  18. But that has nothing to do with the Bills winning football games, which was your response. You might explain a bit why you think a journalist has absolutely no responsibility for knowingly reporting controversial content--even though it may not be true. A journalist's job is to consider that responsibility seriously. To be cavalier with the truth, and not care about the consequences, really isn't a trivial matter. Not as important as a team winning football games, of course , but serious nonetheless.
  19. Tebow hatred? I don't get it. But Tebow love and adulation? I don't get that, either.
  20. WTF? Indian food is a bad thing? And you do know tourist trap shops are a staple of ANY tourist area--right? Go across the border to the thrving NF Ontario area, and you will see many times the Indian, Thai, Chinese, etc restaurants and 100 times the tourist traps. One problem in Niagara Falls is there aren't enough Indian restaurants or tourist trap shops. Flutie Flakes, you sound like a xenophobic not job. The problem in Niagara Falls is very complicated. There is plenty of blame to go around for many groups. But the main issue with NF is the lack of job opportunities.
  21. What Tim does, or does not do, has nothing to do with "winning games". But he has a job and it comes with professional responsibilities. Nothing in your last post has anything to do with this discussion.
  22. Well, that's a hell of a question, Juice. It used to be redundant threads were closed (sometimes). But now I see threads closed because "The thread is no longer contributing positively to the community"---that's my favorite. Truth is, for the most part the mods here are very forgiving. Around game time, or when big news is happening and there is a lot of posting, they get a bit stricter (based on my observations). I know if I were a mod, I'd be much worse than them.
  23. I seriously don't give a rat's ass what most people do. Most people are morons--well maybe not most, but a surprisingly large percentage. And Stephan A and Skip are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to professional journalism. But from what I know they yell at each other, on air, on a show designed for just that. The worst kind of television (IMO) but a show nonetheless. Do either engage in combative exchanges with their viewers/readers? Truthfully, I don't know. But as Curt Schilling found out, this s#it can come hot and fast, and take a guy down. Best to be a bit careful. And we can disagree on whether Timmy was wrong to post the "rogue" story the way he did (he was). But I assume he is wrong, on occasion. We all are--even you, though I'm not sure you admit it, either, from what I see here. Gibbs is wrong about one thing. Apologizing is not a sign of weakness. Admitting you were wrong, and apologizing, is a sign of strength--that is, if you mean it. The "mistake" conversation was directed at me, I think.
  24. You may be right about what his editors let him get away with, in the interest of pumping up readership. But if he uses Twitter to "report news" it is an outlet for his news reporting. Just wait until one time his combative tweets turns ugly, and a bit more controversial than whether Whaley went "rogue". His editors will dissociate from him faster than you can tweet "LOL". It's never a good idea to get too sloppy with something associated with your professional identity. If JW gets a bit faced and has some fun on PPP, it is clearly him as an individual, completely not connected to any professional output. What Timmy does on Twitter, is not.
