And Marrone using Gay on the onsides kick, when Carpenter is a career 2/4 in onsides kicks was just baffling to me. Then Gay can't even skip the ball 10 yards? Gay was absolutely useless today. Could have had Sommers in there, especially for the 3rd and 1 when they ran a pass play that was incomplete.

I've said it before earlier in the season and I'll say it again. Every QB under the Marrone/Hackett regime has regressed during their time in Buffalo....Thad Lewis, Jeff Tuel, EJ and most noticeably Orton. Starting to think it's not just a coincidence anymore.

I'm definitely not a proponent of the extra kicker just as 31/32 NFL teams aren't. I always thought Carpenter did a pretty good job on kickoffs last year anyways. So far it has worked out in Marrone's favor, but there is a reason 31 other teams don't have kickoff specialists.

Good point seeing how he kicks a crap load more FGs than XPs with this team. If the Bills could score in the red zone once in a while, Carpenter's groin would probably be in much better shape. Maybe that's the whole idea behind having Gay....Marrone knows if Carpenter had to kick four or five FGs, one, or on a good day two XPs and handle all the kickoffs, his leg woulda been shot by week eight. Carp woulda been the most underpaid player in the league.

Is he really going to waste a roster spot this week in Mile High by utilizing Jordan Gay? I mean Kyle Orton could kick the ball through the endzone in that air. I only heard some of the inactives and I know MW was one, but then someone thought he got banged up in practice? And even if Carp is nursing a groin, I'm sure Schmidt could handle the KO duties. I just don't get how Marrone's brain works sometimes....actually a lot of times. Offsetting penalties is the stupidest call in the NFL. It's especially dumb when a five yard offsides penalty offsets a 15 yard personal foul penalty. They need to change that.

Can't count on the Jets for squat, except for losing.

This game might be worse than the 6-3 game we had against the Browns.
