  1. Not exactly. I have no use for the rollercoasters who throw out all sorts of doom and gloom nonsense without objectively analyzing what really happened. There's no contribution in the endless streams of "OMG fire Gailey", "OMG our LB's suck", "OMG or secondary is terrible", "OMG Fitz sucks". People are claiming that Ponder was all world last night yet the vast majority of his passes were less than ten yards. Fitz does the same thing and people are call for Vince Young to start. It's nonsense.

My post wasn't meant to blow smoke up your ass and make you feel like the Bills are amazing. The intent was to break down the offensive and defensive plays and point out what went right and what went wrong.

Simon is one of the most knowledgable football guys on this board. He puts up a fact based post on what he saw last night and the Jr. Madden's on here have the audacity to tell him he's wrong.

If you want to B word, step up and support your argument with actual play based evidence and not your meaningless opinion.

    Man, evidence?

This would be a real quiet board

  2. Mark Kelso was bashing Kevin Sheppard all night long, Missed tackles, out of position, wrong angle. Sheppard was still on the field in the 4th quarter.

Kelso's final comment was " The Bills need better play from the MLB position."

Makes no sense to play a starter that long in a meaningless preseason game. Something is up with this......IMO

  3. i'm expecting the bills to come out and engineer situations on both offense and defense to see how specific players react in certain situations, to narrow down some of the fringe positional battles.

i'm expecting chan to run the same, very basic offensive sets with vince and thigpen, that utilize 4-5 wideouts, to have film on how they're going through their progressions.

i'm expecting the starters to play 20 plays, the backups to get the majority of the action.

as you can see, i'm expecting (like every preseason game in the history of the national football league,) that the coaches will have stopped looking at the scoreboard sometime between when potter tees the ball up for opening kick off, and when potter actually makes contact with the ball, sending it into the night, and beginning the game.

and lastly, despite my last expectation, i'm expecting to not enjoy coming to twobillsdrive.com again until the middle of next week, when the reactionary threads about the RESULT of this scrimmage have fallen to the bottom of the page, and there are good discussions about positional battles going on again.

because this is what happens every. single. preseason. scrimmage.

Come back to 2 Bills drive, we understand

I expect to watch a fuzzy, frequenty interrupted, jerky stream on-line that has a high possibility of being shut down by the NFL police, that can also includes many attemps to try and get me to buy porn.

    Good times man...good times.

Anyone got a slingbox they are willing to donate? :bag:

    Funny :w00t:

I'm not expecting much. Still aren't game planning, and probably playing around with different things, so don't really have an opinion.

Next week is when I'll really pay attention.

    Smart man..

I expect to see far more running plays and far less penalties. I dont mind seeing FItz miss a few passes, I can understand that he's working on footwork/mechanics; I just wont tolerate bad decision-making from him.

Yep, Its only preseason, its still a work in progress

    I actually think the opposite.

I think Young has a horrible game that all but seals up his fate as one of the first cuts

You could very well be right. I just think he will seal the job in the next 3 weeks, we will see.....

  4. I am expecting a big game from Vince Young and a quarterback controversy on Saturday morning.

Just got this feeling deep inside my stomach but it could be just gas.....

Also, sacks by Shawne Merriman and Mario Williams.

I believe it will be a much better game then last week with less penalties.

Its only preseason but I still love watching the games,,,,,,,

  5. You'll rarely find anyone in the national media willing to go out and make a risky prediction like the Bills winning the AFC East.

I've seen this phenomena as a Pittsburgh Pirates fan this year. There are no better bandwagon jumpers than the national media.

The Patriots can't be great forever. Fatigue, age and complacency always take their toll. The Patriots have benefited from a decade plus of being in a division of teams that haven't had their act together. I believe at this point, the Bills do.

    What he said

I bet the NFL Network reprimands Steve Wyche for the following 2 reasons...

    1. He spoke about the Bills

    2. He spoke positively about the Bills

3 weeks off, no pay :w00t:
