I am not an economist, but it's my understanding that the president be s/he Republican or Democrat, has little to do with job creation. Is this true?

Who knows how terrorists think - perhaps their rationale would be that Bush allowed an attack to occur, and Americans would blame him and vote Kerry in. After all, after Spain was attacked before their elections, didn't they vote the pro-coalition president out?

I have the sinking feeling that there will be a terrorist attack on American soil before the election. I'm talking about a greater than fifty percent chance. Or maybe I'm just paranoid. What do you think?

Are there any other Nader supporters here? I am leaning towards voting for him, if he isn't taken off the Pennsylvania ballot again. I do not like either major party candidatw. On the other hand, I just might stay home on November 2nd, I am so disgusted by this election.

I didn't watch the debates, but I do have a question: where was Nader?

We were vacationing in Cape May, NJ, and I went into this little candle shop. I noticed the owner had candles depicting the logos of different teams, but I didn't see a Bills candle and I asked him if he had any. He said, "are you a Bills fan?" and I said "yes," and he asked "why?" I said that I was born there, and as it turned out, he grew up in Tonawanda! A turncoat, grrrrr!

As you know, Kerry has a problem with his image -- he just doesn't come across to many as a likeable guy. The word that comes to mind in describing him is "saturnine." I know this sounds silly, but Kerry should get a dog or cat, and be photographed with it. Americans love their pets-- uh, er, "companion animals." Clinton had (the late) Buddy and Socks the cat (who I think is still around), George Bush had Millie the Springer Spaniel, and I've seen Dubya with a Scottish terrier and some other dogs (followed by a Secret Service guy with a pooper scooper). At this point, it couldn't hurt!

I root for them and all, but my heart is not really in it, because I am a BILLS FAN first and foremost. I just wish they could play half as well as the Iggles!

Well, after a year of looking, I finally found a job! I start on Monday, September 20th. I will be working as a case manager for the mentally handicapped. Being in the human services field, the salary isn't great, but hey, I'm not complaining. So -- to all my "peeps" who prayed for me (especially VABills), thanks so much. And to all you secular types, you can uncross those fingers now!
