  1. This seems more likely, and inspirational than any tribute to Orton's mediocrity. If Orton is put on the Wall of Fame, then I think the rubber matt that did in Kevin Kolb should be tacked up there, as well.
  2. The far too common opinion on here that the only real thing wrong with this offense is Tyrod Taylor is laughable. And, anyone who thinks that Peterman will be able to make some magic with such a poor receiving squad is delusional. IMO, if we stick Peterman in with this receiving corp, we will not win a game. I don't know the answer to this question, but how many receivers got their hands on the ball last week and failed to reel it in? TT is not the biggest problem on our offense. Give him two decent receivers who can catch the damn ball, including one who can be some sort of deep threat (we have none), and TT's numbers improve immediately.
  3. O'Leary and Jones were both targeted six times. O'Leary pulled in five, and Jones one. If our TEs are the focus of our endemic passing attack, it is because we do not have any reliable WRs. Tate looked like our best WR on Sunday. And, he's getting spread pretty thin. One of my favorite parts of that game was that Tate made an excellent tackle on the kick return immediately after his TD.
  4. Our best, and most productive receivers in the last game were our second string TE, and our K/P returner. Our current #1, and #2 WRs would be third string, at best, in any other NFL team. That's a problem. Now you're just being intellectually dishonest.
  5. Zay was billed as "The Most NFL Ready WR in the Draft." He wasn't.
  6. You whine about people making excuses for Taylor, and then throw out a comment like that? What-the-hell kind of excuse is that??? You're telling us it's Tyrod's fault that his receivers can't get separation? Give me a break!
  7. Out leading receiver today was our second string TE. Our best WR is also our K/P returner. How many passes did Jones get his hands on today? With one reception? Did anyone calling for Peterman to start notice our O-line today? The notion that Peterman would have been better in this situation is nuts.
  8. My favorite part of the game was when Tate caught his TD pass, and then made a great tackle on the kick return. That our best WR is also our best special teamer, and K/P returner says a lot about this our offense.
  9. Was Dalton going to crawl to a first down?
  10. Is it me, or does TT look nervous?
  11. it's an educated opinion. The rain should benefit the team that relies on their passing game the least. That would be us.

  13. Up until this moment, I had absolutely no intention of paying $3 for a news subscription. Ever. But, I have to say, it was rather disappointing when I was blocked from the numerous "Buffalo News Reports" links on this site-- especially since I live in Los Angeles (born and raised in Rochester). So, can someone tell me: Is it worth $3.00? I hate to feel like a sucker.
  14. Excellent. He looked great in preseason.
  15. This is what it takes to get to mutual respect? Acknowledging the absurd? Orton has ZERO chance of getting on the wall because: The defense carried the offense that year. He wasn't here long enough. He wasn't good enough while he was here. The Slide (what became his signature play) was embarrassing. He wasn't the reason we almost went to the playoffs. Almost making it to the playoffs is not an accomplishment.
  16. Is Matthews going to be just fine after thumb surgery? Is he worth waiting around for? In my opinion, we should be exploring WR options even if Matthews didn't get hurt. It's weird that this staff almost seems to disregard the position, and its importance.
  17. Every time I have seen Carr speak, I thought he seemed like a dick. And when he's touted his faith, which he does often, he's sounded like a dick about that, too. I have no problem with people having, and expressing their faith. But when someone suggests that Jesus Christ prefers their team because of their own righteousness, as they are guided by the Holy Spirit (yes, Carr speaks in such terms), then they are claiming religious superiority. And, yeah, I think that's pretty obnoxious. So, I'll go with "emotional jerk."
  18. It's impossible for a Bills fan to panic. We are in much better shape at this moment than any reasonable person thought we were going to be. We're used to this sort of hopeful start with a disappointing ending. Our wide receivers are terrible. I don't know if here is a worse WR corp in the league. I felt that way before Matthews' injury. As (rightfully) happy as many are with this new regime, this is one area in which they have thoroughly screwed up. It was (and is) the biggest argument for the "tank theory." They better address this situation.
  19. Maybe we could start another wall called: The Wall of Mediocrity. It would have to be a very large wall...
  20. If Kyle Orton were on the Wall of Fame, you wouldn't be able to read his name, or jersey number because it would be obscured by the entire defense that carried him. We weren't mediocre in 2014? Edit: or rather, our offense wasn't mediocre in 2014?
  21. Whether intentional, or not, Taylor has been set up to fail in this offense.
  22. Damn. Elston looked great in preseason, I thought.
