Great, much need win by the Bills. A loss and we were done.

Now, will someone explain to me why, with 2:12 left in the game and KC with 2 timeouts and the deuce, did the Bills try not one but 2 passes (both fell incomplete) and gave KC extra time. They should have called a run, or for that matter even downed the f^%$ing ball. They could have kicked a field goal with very little time remaining and forced KC to use one of it's timeouts if not both.

I truly cannot understand this logic. Does McDermott have zero faith in his defense?

Am I the only one who got upset at this strategy?

I think forcing KC to use their timeouts was the original plan, but instead of running into a loaded box Brady called the screen to Diggs thinking that’s completed 99% of the time. Even if he doesn’t get many yards we get to the 2 minute warning. Say he caught the ball and got a few yards, we get to the 2 minute warning. We then run twice into stacked boxes and run what, 10 seconds off the clock before kicking the FG? (Assuming we don’t get the first). KC still would have gotten the ball with say 1:30 and no timeouts. We know that’s plenty of time for KC to get at least a FG.

Once Diggs dropped (AGAIN!) that 99% completed pass, I think using time strategy went out the window and Brady was going for the TD. I’d have liked 3 straight runs against a bad run D but Brady was outcoached by Spags in the second half and got away from the run.

On the Toney flag play, Taylor was lined up 2 yards off the line of scrimmage. His helmet isn’t even in line with the centers feet, it was an illegal formation all day. I can’t for the life of me figure out why the NFL allows that guy to get away with that and false starting every single play. It’s mind boggling.

Great W. Hope Brady learned something because he got schooled by Spags in the second half. Getting away from Cook and Kincaid while Josh was getting jail breaked every play was concerning.  I’m concerned about Diggs, something is up besides him being taken out of the game by solid corners.

Mahomes rightfully is getting destroyed over his post game reaction to Josh. What a sore loser. I actually think Mahomes is a good dude but that display of poor sportsmanship was downright awful. I think KC an Mahomes did a lot of damage to their brand with their post game reactions when it was obvious it was the right call.

  2. The only coach that left or got fired that I disagreed with was Chad Hall

DaBoll was instrumental in helping Josh develop but there were plenty of games we all cursed him just like Dorsey. I think he’s in trouble in NY after that great run last year. Almost set expectations too high for a team with mediocre talent and giving Danny Dimes that kind of money was STUPID on Joe Schein’s part. That’s going to hamstring them until he’s gone. IDK if they will survive that.

This current special teams coach Smiley should get the boot at the end of the season too. How can a team spend so much money dedicated to special teams and flat out SUCK?  That includes Not-So-Bass-O-Matic. He’s had a down year but hopefully will bounce back as we steam into the playoffs

  3. I was off the McD train. Now I’m about to jump back on because this is some bush league BS. I don’t like the whole feel of it and I’m sure there’s some truth buried in the article somewhere.

The only reason to release this at this time was 1) Make $$ off people buying the article at the height of the anti-McD rhetoric going around 2) Hurt McD who he has an obvious bias against and 3) Hurt the Bills right before the most important game of the season so far.

Between Dunne and Fairburn, who’s more butt hurt about McD? Hard to tell as they probably circle jerk each other while spitting on a McD voodoo doll. It’s blatantly biased journalism

I’ve got a lot of McD issues, but I sincerely hope the team CIRCLES THE WAGONS and goes on a run because this feels oily. It’s slimy. Not because there may be some truth behind it but because it was released at a time to do maximum damaged and earn maximum bucks by a guy who has a maximum beef with McD and the Bills.

I don't think people are acting like Josh Allen is on the downside of his career right now...the point is we don't want to see the rest of his prime years get wasted with a head coach who just seems to be in over his head.  There is absolutely still time to turn things around and see Allen kill it

I hear you but I think he’s got a lot of better years ahead of him. I don’t think he’s hit his ceiling yet. He’s got 3-5 years of peak athleticism yet and my hope is that his mental game improves. I think he has the ability to improve his understanding of the defenses he’s facing thus decreasing interceptions and stupid plays.

Josh isn’t going to lose the ability to run, he’s not going to lose so many steps he can’t get a first with his feet when we need it. He will hopefully transition to a more cerebral passer so he doesn’t have to run, but it’s going to always be a part of his game.

The issue is surrounding him with offensive talent who can take some of the burden off him. Maybe someday someone will make a contested or difficult catch when he’s not perfect. Maybe we can get a defense that actually closes out a game once a decade.

I doubt that happens with McD, but I think we are stuck with him for at least 1 more year. Josh has plenty of time left.

  5. Why does everyone act like Allen is on the downside of his career already? Some of you guys are absolutely nuts.

He’s 27. He’s got a DECADE minimum of high quality QB play left in him. So many people acting like we’ve got 2 years to win a SB.

Listen, I get it. I’ve been a fan for 45 years now, my parents are die hards from before the NFL and they don’t have a lot more years so I want a SB quick for them too.

But, the rhetoric is just getting completely out of control here.

The reality is we aren’t likely making the playoffs and McD is going to be the coach next year. I’m off the McD train but unless we lose out I can’t see Pegula changing head coaches after 1 bad year.

  6. Get rid of McD and you’ll see a rejuvenated Diggs

Diggs knew he wasn’t going to win with Dorsey and he knows McD doesn’t have what it takes to get this team to the Super Bowl

Diggs has always been the most passionate, hate-to-lose player on the team. Most of his teammates are just collecting paychecks.

:( Kim—I don’t know if Terry has a near peer of proper/legit feedback. 30 yrs with Kim. Subordinates, Kids, GM, friends.

…sadly, nobody is the same help on big decisions as a 30 yr peer wife.

Why do so many of you guys think Kim Pegula was anything other than a figurehead? What evidence is there that she has had any impact on hiring/firing decisions with the Bills? If she’s been involved in the Sabres fiasco or the Rex Ryan decision then her judgement is just as in question as Terry. They both lucked into McD/Bean to turn the franchise around and now McD needs to go. There’s zero evidence that if Kim were able she’d be pushing McD out the door like he needs to be.

  8. McD needs to go. It’s OVER.

0-6 in OT. Defense chokes nearly every single time they need to stop a game winning drive.

In retrospect, he should have been fired after 13 seconds.

Thanks for turning the franchise around, now GTFO

  9. The expectations for Von coming of an ACL were always ridiculous.

I think you limit Von to 10 snaps a game or so and use him situationally so he can get some reps in and not hurt the team until he starts showing some burst.

It’s up to the coaches not to put him in on critical downs or say, 3rd and short against Cinci to hold an edge against the run. Pure idiocy by McD.

I think the best we can hope for is that if we make the playoffs he comes back to like 80% Von and can have some sort of impact.

I’d expect if he’s going to return to form it won’t be until next year, and that’s a big if.

  10. Josh has reached a plateau. It’s up to him to break through it.

He’s always been a little immature, which is something most loved about him. The happy elite gunslinger just having fun.

We’re seeing this year the weight of expectations taking a bit of a toll. Everyone can see his head hasn’t been right for most of the season. Why? Who knows.

If Josh decides to dedicate his entire year to becoming the best QB he can be, like Brady (uggh) did, then I don’t think Josh has come close to his ceiling. That means taking care of his body and mind all year long, something I think he’s kind of taken for granted until recently.

If he doesn’t, then we will be left with a Top 5 highly variable QB that we can still win a championship with. If he does, he could be a first ballot hall of famer with a couple SB rings on his hand.

  11. Eagles are very beatable, so are the Chiefs. Chiefs were the better team last night but blew it, which is rare with KC and I loved seeing it.

Chiefs should have rolled them but 2 red zone turnovers kept the Eagles in it. One by Mahomes, one by Kelce. Love it.

Kelce is being doubled more often now because KC’s other weapons are garbage. Even then he doesn’t look as dominant but it’s just one game. Against us, MVS will probably go off and have 12 catches for 120 and 2 TDs.

  12. Why is everyone so worried about the Eagles getting beat? You really think that makes any difference to next week? If they blew out KC most people here would be like “No way we can beat that team in Philly”

I don’t see any reason why we can’t beat Philly next weekend. The key is breaking even on the lines and preferably winning the trenches. Hurts is way over rated.

  13. KC is infuriating. Mahomes is just so good. He uses his legs better than Josh and gets down every time. It demoralizes and breaks the defense every time he picks up a first by scrambling.

Does KC ever play a tough game away from Arrowhead? The only potentially tough game they play away is Jax. Absolutely ridiculous by the NFL.
