First, let me state, I am not paniced by the Titans game.  I know the Bills are better than they showed last night.  However, at the same time, it is kind of silly to be comparing them to the 1991 Bills.  Everybody wants to draw these comparisons to the "glory days' of the 1990's.  I get it, those were great times.  But, if you really feel the need to compare the two eras (which I don't see), this current squad would be closer in their development, to the 1988 or 1989 Bills teams.  If you recall, the 1988 Bills started out 4-0, and got slaughtered by the Bears on the road, in week 5.  They went on to win 8 of their last 11 games that year, for a record of 12-4. They lost to the Bengals in the AFC Championship game.  I could live with a result like that...

It just shows you that a great team can take an ass kicking sometimes. A not yet great team taking an ass whipping isn’t a forecast for the future.

Good teams get whipped in this league.

As terrible as they played they were still in the game late into the 3rd quarter.

We shall see how they respond.

Response is an important telling sign.

I followed "Coach Sal" all the way back to the "Mom's Basement" show days, you got him wrong.

Me too, except he’s not that knowledgeable.

The “I was a coach” thing is nothing more then to attempt to give his opinion validity.

I have never heard him detail any of the football language a real coach would know.

Hes on WGR because the people who followed him when he worked from his moms basement flooded WGR with “ hire Sal” calls and emails.

For those who think those guys make a good living, you are very mistaken.

Ill take my “living”over his any day.

Having said the above, he’s probably the best that station has to offer. I’d listen to him anytime over most there.

I listen when I’m driving and most of the callers are moronic, their questions are mostly uneducated drivel.

I think Addison has 3 sacks

Edit: Make that 2. I guess Fitz got back to the LOS on one.

Having sacks isn’t the biggest positive, it’s getting pressure.

We have literally no pressure. That’s why Hughes is struggling. There’s no one else creating pressure.

I’d rather trade for a MLB that doesn’t suck.  Correa would be a nice replacement for Klein, makes sense.  Do it. Milano, Correa and a new MLB could work

Edmunds is very young. He also has an injured shoulder, which is difficult for a linebacker.

Shedding blocks and tackling with a bad shoulder is not a good thing.

They should rest him unless it’s a chronic condition.

  5. The milkman’s defense, what’s it called, nine wide? It needs good players,a good DL, which we are lacking at this point.

We got beat by a very good Tennessee team that did a bit more practicing than we know.

You don’t set a defense up like they did in supposedly limited practices. Taking away the effective, to this point, crossover scheme.

That required set up and practice.

    It’s a wake up call.

Frazier needs to dial up a blitz package somehow. The 4 men up front, along with the LBs isn’t getting the job done.

  6. Tough game all around. I remember the Super Bowl Bills teams laying eggs, most notably in prime time.

Im usually really pissed off after a game like this but for some reason I think we bounce back, especially offensively.

Heads were hanging from the get go.

The Titans took away JAs/Dabolls bread and butter cross over routes by flooding both sides. Daboll refused to take what was there from the beginning, which were short throws in the middle zone. Adjustments offensively in the 3rd quarter are lacking.

Josh Allen was very confused at times with what the Titans were showing defensively. Daboll had no answer until it was too late.

    His focus wasn’t there tonight.

The blueprint is now out there on how to play this offense, unless the OC can adjust.

This team was not ready to play tonight. Blame McClappy? Did we not game plan properly? Practice?

The penalties sure looked like focus wasn’t there.

Did the fact this game wasn’t a go until Monday a big Reason?

Losing players to injuries hurt but the effect shouldn’t be as dramatic as what happened.

The defense is not very good.

Management, with their arrogance, believes they can plug in average to below average players and continue with quality play.

The “system” isn’t working. This team is in desperate need of better defensive lineman/pass rushers, linebackers and could use another DB.

What was once thought as depth is now a detriment.

Sure looks like they miss Lawson and Star.

Their offense led the NFL in yardage a year ago, he threw for 5000 30/11 while completing 65% of passes.  Yes the team has good players around him, but what is the criteria here?

I guess, if it’s based on stats.

Its a stats based world today.

Dak just doesn’t exhume fear. He looks average to me. Tannehill even getting a vote is a joke, but of course it’s based on his last year statistically.

Having a 65% accuracy rating isn’t all that much different than being in the upper 50s. Way too much emphasis on percentages.

Darnold received a vote? Lol. He’s in the same league as Allen right now, except Allen’s team won a few more games. Allen was in the playoffs.

You can all have your stats.

Biggest thing i guess is when you "cash out" where do you put your $$$$$$ where did all or a lot of that Pegula bucks $$$$$$ go? stock market? etc,etc,etc..and how big a hit did that $$ take when they cashed in and lately with the market crash and COVID?

I mean i seriously know guys that had their 401K(in my case TSP) in a diversified account that STILL lost 40-60K when this market went south from COVID...and for many people their 401K is a good chunk of their net worth...what did the Pegulas have their cashed in $$ IN at the time(other than Bills Sabres in talking what kind of investments is my point..and how big a hit did they take?

If they have substantial funds in the market they likely held.

Smart investors would be buying at depressed prices. The markets coming back and 50% gains at minimum have been easy.

Well apparently COVID can cause hallucinations and even brain damage, so I get where you're coming from!  ?

    Watson will NOT be available.

You are likely joking but what you just stated is true. I have a family member that had Covid 19 that caused brain inflammation.

Hallucinations were part of it and Watson wasn’t one of them.

Thank God she is getting better. She did tell me the Bills are going to the AFC championship though.( She’s a huge Bills fan)

lost a few weeks of her life. Was shocked to find out Brady went to Tampa.

    All true.

  10. Daboll is not the right OC for this QB. He’s terrible at feel for game flow. It’s seems apparent though that our head coach had dictated this philosophy.

Dinosaur football, get a lead, play conservatively, allowing the defense to seal the deal.

Speaking of defense, we were killed by those 2 point conversions. The shoddy tackling continued today.

Houston didn’t deserve to win this game.

Better days ahead if we can get this coaching staff out of the 1970s.

Yeah, but McDermott is too conservative and Beane actually set us back because he is the one who actually created the salary cap mess.

We could have still had Sammy Watkins and Marcel.  Just imagine how good we would have been if we still had those guys.  Just imagine how good we would be if McDermott wasn’t so conservative always playing Jauronball.

    We got lucky!

    Huh?

Beane fixed the cap mess. That’s what he was hired to do.

  12. Not a fan of Dabol and likely never will be.

The Route tree of each receiver, when said Route is complete, shows a lack of imagination.

No receiver is open, Allen scrambles, each receiver stands dormant because their Route is complete.

Come back to the QB for a completion, don’t end the route. The DB is likely behind you or to the side, a straight line back towards the QB will get you yardage.

This is coaching, this is Dabol. I’m convinced if we had a more seasoned OC that we would have won a couple games we lost.

The head scratching deep balls on third and three are mind boggling at best.

I believe Dabol is in over his head.

Usually, The best series for an offense is their first drive in both halves. They are scripted to take advantage of tendencies, but not ours.

Our first drives are mediocre at best.

Nope, not a fan of Dabol. He’s not using Allen correctly.

How is this even a question for a Bills fan? Patriots must lose on every occasion. The only situation I could think of hoping for a Patriots win is if it benefitted the Bills playoff position. Even then I'd probably puke in my mouth a few times rooting for them.

    Its not a question.

I would question how true a Bills fan anyone who considers rooting for NE is.
