  1. Reich might dial up the Giants Super Bowl 25 game plan.

Two standing linemen, everyone else drops into coverage, daring the Bills to throw.

Unlike Marv, McDermott will make certain we take what we are given and run it down their throats.

Marv waited too long. Arrogance must be put aside.

The biggest drawback for the Colts is that Allen has legs, unlike Kelly. We would likely see multiple fly routes with Allen running for humongous chunks of yardage.

Either way I believe INDY needs a lot of fortune.

    Who knows.

  2. The Bills are hot right now, that’s how you want to head into the playoffs.

The Chiefs are going to rest for 3 straight weeks. I think they are making a mistake and will lose their first playoff game because of it.

This is a guess, but I think Mahomes is banged up. When he took that sandwich hit in the Saints game he looked hurt to me.

Regardless, I think the Bills do not played scared like the first match up if they play them.

Heres to a lot of hope. Bills v Saints Super Bowl.

And with McBeane - don't rule out the special teams aspect, nice to have people ready to hit as the ball is being caught.  Best special teams for Bills teams in I can't remember and I go back to day 1.

Have you forgotten the great special teams of the early 90s?

They won games by blocking field goals and punts. That group caused fumbles as well.

If you are talking about coverage and returns only then you might be correct.

Yep, that’s what I saw when they replayed it.  He was standing there like when a coach wants to call a timeout with 1 second on the play clock or a few seconds on the game clock before a FG.  It looked like he was waiting until right before they snapped it.

He called that time out when that play was half over. Ball was in flight when whistle went.

Pan to sideline, the ref blew the whistle when Billy asked for time, you could see him blow the whistle, you could hear the whistle. That was BS, a BS timeout by a classless #######.

We should have hung 60 on them.

That play wasn’t the Statue Of Liberty play. It was a bit different.

The SOL play is the QB holding the ball up in his passing hand, (like the statue holds the torch) and the running back takes it out of his hand.

The play we used was a lot better than that archaic play.

Josh Allen also played the Titans right after the Raiders game and was using a shoulder harness which was impacting him.

Music City Miracle ----->   Illegal Forward Pass

People forget that. It wasn’t mentioned outside of this forum. That 3 game stretch was tough at best.

This isn’t the same team anymore. This team is much better right now.

The defense is coming into form, it’s perfect timing.

There will be no allowing KC or any team to run it down our throats this time. If KC makes it that far.

    Here's what I found:

"Expected Points Added (EPA) is a football statistic that seeks to measure the value of individual plays in terms of points. This is done by calculating the Expected Points(EP) of the down, distance, and field position situation at the start of a play and contrasting it with the situation at the end of the play."

So they somehow have calculated what the expected points would be for every situation on the field and then measure that against what actually happens. It's a strange metric, but it does not seem subjective.

Thank you. I’d love to see those point values along with the field position, expected or unexpected.

It sure looks as though the league has lost what actual meaning of MVP is. Until they actually show everyone how they calculate plays then it’s open to criticism. I do not believe Mahomes numbers. Correlating points based upon long pass plays to some chart isn’t what an MVP is.

  8. Limited supply will likely inflate the prices.

I won the lottery for xxv, just had an infant son and couldn’t go. I got $800 apiece for them.

For XXVIII, I had tickets in the media section. I was offered $1250 each. In hindsight I should have sold them.

That was the year Small World Travel had a promise for a block of tickets and the guy stiffed them because people were paying double for tickets.

When you expect prices to be low they usually are not. Wouldn’t surprise me to see them go to 3k per ticket.

    Ill stay home.

  9. When your best players are backs you don’t have much choice.

Our best player is the QB.

KC had Hunt, but their best player is Mahomes, so that’s how they roll.

Its fun slinging the ball around. Dinosaur football isn’t coming back anytime soon here.

I was a Mayfield fan and wanted the Bills to draft him. I’m so happy it’s working out for the better.

If you can live up to your screen name, can you just let us know if they end up winning it this year???  My nerves could use the rest!

    I believe he already did.

It was, paraphrasing, a guy who has picked the last 6, 7 or 8 last Super Bowl winners based upon what’s happening in the season.

Said the Bills would win it all this season.

So I guess he’s putting his money down because of it.

I have previously threw a hundred down on the Bills.

That is almost impossible at this point (I know anything can happen).  The Chiefs would have to go basically 1-3 over their last 4 and we have to win out due to the head-to-head tiebreaker in their favor.

    Yes,that’s not going to happen.

We would need to be in a 3 way tie with Pittsburgh to accomplish being the 1 seed. The Chiefs would need to lose 2 games, the Bills win out and the Steelers losing 2 to get there.

I think I’m rooting for Miami to lose.

He didn’t show up until the next year. He played QB for the Broncos and beat the Bills on a long bomb to Floyd Little later in the year.

I remember this Jets game well.  For home games, my father would throw us into the car and go for a drive and listen to the game. Maybe stop at a bar for a couple shots and beers while we got orange pop and pretzels.

I can remember all the interceptions and TD returns.

Ahhh yes, Marlin “The Magician” Briscoe. Loved that guy.

That Jet game sticks out. It was tough going from the best to this.

  13. Never broke anything but, a bunch of us were at a friends house for The Bills v Washington

    Super Bowl Game.

The host had just purchased a new TV for the game. After a Bills interception we jumped up ,and when we hit the floor the tv(it’s was on a spring loaded base) flew out and landed on my foot.

Didnt feel it, but we sweated out the tv was broken, but it didn’t. No one cared about my foot.

This was the Knox call downfield?  He seems to generate at least one holding/illegal block call every game.  This penalty really hurt because it was unnecessary and inconsequential to the play.  It was a big chunk play that got called back.  He's has to start playing smarter and eliminate these drive killers.

He seems to have a penalty per game.

He gets them because he’s not a very good blocker and gets out of position easily. Mr. Whiff.

He seems to get called on important plays. It might be a mental thing, not too certain.

In general, if you watch any of our TEs block, notably on the LOS, you will see a lot of missed blocking assignments.

An upgrade next year would be welcomed.

Off topic, this is a great week for a bye.

  15. Born into fandom.

    WNY born and raised.

Listened to games on radio in very early 60s with my dad and brothers. Went to a few games at the rock pile during the AFL Championship years. Watched them play K.C. On TV for the rights to go to Super Bowl I.

Tempus Fugit, where did the time go?

My dad drove bus for Metro, and he took the Bills games, usually driving the opposing teams to the stadium.

I was with him many times. Got into the games for free, meeting some great HOF players and getting their autographs.

Im one of those “before I die I want to win a Super Bowl” guys.
