Actually started work 2 hours earlier today so a couple of our Mexican guys could go home and watch the game. He lives 2 mins away so I went with him to watch. Really, the Mexican team should have been up a couple goals at the half. They were lucky themselves though as the SA's hit the post in the last minute of the game

Now that I think about it, this may be very important if its been going on for a while. Lets say a few of these guys have been bought off in the last while. Could this have affected the healthcare vote? It was close so could the vote potentially been insured because of this? Or worse yet, future votes infringing on our freedom?

This was big. I think the ump should be fired. People get fired for huge mistakes at work all the time. This was a routine play. If more of these officials got canned for incompetence there would be less bonehead calls that effect outcomes. Think the Seahawk/Steeler Super Bowl or any game the Bills play in NE. On its own this isn't very exciting but illustrates, in a nutshell, why government involvement in anything should be minimal at best. As a small business we could never afford just to give away hours. If there wasn't an inexhaustible supply of money, namely the taxpayers, government agencies couldn't either. Would it be a reasonable solution to require welfare recipients to enter some sort of community work program to qualify for benefits? I don't think this would be too much to ask and would make it less attractive for the less motivated to apply for government(our) cash. I look around some of the California highways(especially the L.A. area)and they really could use graffiti cleanup for example. It would be nice to drive under a over pass without ugly gang scribblings on the structure and signs. It would also take a load off the hard working city employees if they don't have to handle this type of cleanup. Is this inhumane to want this?
