  1. Hardy gets cut if he doesn't move up from his current spot behind Johnson, Parrish, and Nelson. Of course Nelson is hurt, so maybe he just makes it, but what a disappointment.

Edit: I guess Nelson isn't hurt, so bye-bye Hardy. Guess he dropped a TD pass tonight in the back of the end zone - not helping yourself there James.

  2. I like to think I have a sense of humor but you think this is funny?

+1 It's stunning to me how hard some people can try to be funny and actually think they are funny, when in reality it is some of the dumbest, mind numbing drivel you will ever hear. It takes a modicum of intelligence to even be mildly funny, and this guy can't even come up with slightly amusing.

  3. The bad with the good.

    DUDS

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick: Exactly zero of Buffalo's quarterbacks has been impressive through the first week of camp, but Fitzpatrick has been a special case of terrible. No QB has tossed more interceptions to date, his accuracy is as erratic as ever, and I've heard whispers that of all quarterbacks on the roster, he's been most frustrated by how the "pecking order" has taken shape. (Those are obviously unconfirmed, and no bad blood exists between the four guys, so don't get your panties in a bunch; disregard entirely if you're not a fan of rumors.) He was always a long-shot to emerge from the pre-season as the starter, but he's already put himself in an early hole in that regard.

CB Leodis McKelvin: ESPN's Tim Graham called McKelvin out on his blog for showing lapses in concentration on the practice field. He's been aggressive at times, but complacent at others, and has been burned a few times on deep routes. He's also being given an excellent opportunity to win the punt returning job, but is quite literally fumbling that chance away, muffing punts as frequently as Fitzpatrick skips passes. I said all off-season that McKelvin would have a hard time earning his starting cornerback job back, and if he continues to play the way he has this past week, he'll likely be relegated to nickel duty to start the season.

OT Jamon Meredith: With an entire set of spring practices under his belt as the starting left tackle, many thought Meredith would be able to hold off incumbent Demetrius Bell for the starting job on the blind side. Bell is still working his way back into full playing shape, meaning that while Bell still looks to be penciled in as the starter, Meredith is still seeing a lot of work with the first team at left tackle. He's not taking advantage, struggling mightily with good speed rushes on the edge, and finding difficulty dealing with the power of Buffalo's underrated five-technique defensive ends. Meredith has looked OK run blocking, but at the moment, he projects most comfortably as the team's swing tackle behind Bell and Cornell Green.

  4. 3) The organization really screwed the pooch on this one. Maybe they believed the retirement ruse. I dunno. But, they just got hoodwinked no matter what. If they knew Aaron was unhappy, they should have looked for trading partners a long time ago. Sure, some can point to the Favre comparison and what he did to the Packers. Difference is, Favre actually retired, the team didn't really have much authority to do anything. Schobel was under contract up until today. Nix should have known better. He had two choices, 1) hold out hope that Schobel was going to come back (which is what the organization did) 2) Figure out the real story with Schobel and his agent and work on a trade. You can't tell me with a straight face that Schobel wouldn't have wanted to be traded to the Texans this offseason. THe retirement issue wasn't about football. It was about Buffalo.

Yeah, but how many teams, including Houston, were going to pick up that contract? Cuz that's what happens in a trade.

Agreed - we are not professional front office people and we all knew that, but Nix had to know it, too - why say something stupid 2 days ago when you have to know that there's a very good chance you're going to have to eat your words? Spiller's agent has got to be thinking he's dealing with a bunch of absolute fools and in no mood to try and bargain...

What stupid thing did Nix say? IIRC, he just said we've reached a point where 7 months is enough and we're making the decision for him, and AS was on the DNR list.

  5. And no, many companies won't reduce their price if you just ask. Best Buy won't reduce their price if you just ask.

The minute DTV has competition, I'll be gone. It may never happen, but if it does, I'll be gone in a second. The only cable/sat company people seem to like is FIOS. I have them for internet and it's fantastic. I just can't wait for the day that Sunday Ticket is spread among all outlets.

Blah, blah, blah. Hot air. Get some balls, take a stand, and leave DirecTV now! Otherwise you just look like a big kitty for whining like a B word but you end up taking it hard.

Oh and dumbass, I get price reductions all the time at Best Buy, so try again. That list of companies you don't like is growing :worthy:

  6. I hope you never fly on an airplane, stay at a hotel, or buy a car... Because guess what, chances are at some point you have paid more than the guy sitting next to you on the plane or in the room across the hall from you at the hotel or driving the same car as you on the road.

There's nothing unethical about it. If you don't like the price, you can ask for a cheaper price. They can say yes or they can say no. If you don't want to ask for a cheaper price you won't GET a cheaper price.

Many companies will reduce their price for you if you just ask. I fail to see how ethics play into this. Leaving your disdain for DirecTV/Sunday Ticket out of the equation, is a company always supposed to offer their lowest price up front?

Hilarious :) Even funnier is the whiner keeps throwing his hard earned money at the provider
