For what its worth, Chris Brown did re-post the original report on BuffaloBills.com.
http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2014/03/21/report-bills-express-interest-in-wr-britt/
-
I'll believe the interest in Britt when he is actually in town. Any time you get "inside" information from an agent, its usually just the agent blowing hot air to drum up interest. My bet is the Bills called to get some prelim information just in case the Draft doesn't pan out.
-
I was thinking he would be their pick, solely on the fact that both Chris Brown and John Murphy bring his name up near every time they talk about the Bills draft. I know people think they are paid Bills cheerleaders (and they are to a degree) but I think they (Brown especially) are privy to a lot more info than they can present sometimes...Brown was all over the EJ pick last year, when I didn't really hear anybody else mentioning him as the Bills first pick.
That is exactly why I'm nervous. I've noticed over the last few years that BB.com tends to tip its hand towards what players the Bills are definitely interested in by posting articles, almost to serve as feelers to get the fans ready for the move. They've been mentioning Lewan A LOT lately and next to nothing on the other OT prospects (Robinson, Matthews).
-
I still got this weird feeling the Bills love Lewan.
-
I would agree, however it seems like the Bills are happy with their Safeties as of now.
I don't personally agree with that assessment, but that's why I'm in the stands I suppose.
-
Looks like the TE Eric Ebron will be coming in for a pre-Draft visit. First confirmed Draft visit, to the best of my knowledge.
-
They were talking to him at the same time they were negotiating with Chandler. Basically a fall back. Chandler resigned and their interest faded.
I would say thats probably accurate. With 4 TEs on the roster right now who they like I seriously doubt we draft a TE in any round of the Draft.

Veteran free agent tight end Ed Dickson has been offered a contract to return to the Ravens, according to a source.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have also offered Dickson a contract.
Dickson has drawn interest from other NFL teams, including the Buffalo Bills, who re-signed tight end Scott Chandler after the start of free agency, the New York Jets and the New York Giants.

You're leaving out a RB, which I do think the BILLS take a run at in the 4th....nothing against Skov, just the BILLS trying to plan for next year when Fredex and maybe Spiller are no longer on the team, FJax to retirement and Spiller to trade...
I had a RB slated in my first mock draft but with the signing of Dixon I feel like the Bills have solved that problem. They wouldn't keep a 4th RB on the main roster IMO this season.
-
Alright, fine. Here's my second Bills Mock Draft. Y'all twisted my arm.
1. Mike Evans, WR out of Texas A&M
2. Morgan Moses, OT out of Virginia
3. Jackson Jeffcoat, DE out of Texas
4. Shayne Skov, ILB out of Stanford
5. Kenny Ladler, FS out of Vanderbilt
6. John Urschel, OG out of Penn State
7. Connor Shaw, QB out of South Carolina
-
Totally cool with Evans in the 1st and Moses or Richardson in the 2nd.
After that, BPA at any position.

According to Rotoworld, the Bills now have the 9th most cap space in the NFL, even after all of the signings.
http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/46513/59/salary-cap-notes-team-updates?pg=1
9. Buffalo Bills
Approximate Current Available Cap Space - $18.3 million (figure doesn’t include the re-signing of Scott Chandler)
Buffalo’s biggest splash came via the signing of free agent cornerback Corey Graham. Aside from a few other small moves, the Bills have remained quiet over this past week. Still way under the 2014 cap, look for the Bills to be more involved in free agency’s second week. They did execute a potentially high-impact, if low-cost addition by signing former Patriots run-plugging inside linebacker Brandon Spikes to a reported one-year, $3.5 million deal over the weekend.
-
Fight on Jim, we're all there for you!
I know he's going to beat this.
-
Not correct. Not signed. According to the only reliable source (Caplan), a deal is very far off.
-
Well then I shall proceed to kick the messenger in the nether regions until I am sufficiently satisfied or tire of the screams.
Seriously, though, thanks BGW.
My screams are high-pitched and womanly, a la Ned Flanders.
-
Caplan just on WGR -
No deal. Not even close. They haven't even talked about money.
Sorry folks, doesn't look like anything is imminent.
-
Im in Orlando for the week, I need info on Spikes deal.
No deal as of yet.

This is starting to remind me of the failed pursuit of Karlos Dansby last year. Stud LB comes in for a visit/physical, board goes crazy, Wikipedia gets altered, no news for hours, player leaves, Bills suck posts start flowing en masse, player signs elsewhere, board acts like they never wanted him in the first place.
-
I'm suddenly getting a bad feeling about all of this...
-
Aaaaaaand Caplan lets the air out of the balloon.
-
We'll see. No word yet from any official source.
People should be nervous that he immediately gave himself an "out" just in case the deal doesn't happen.
-
That is the best defensive front 7 the Bills have had in a long time!! Especially when you consider that Bradham isn't to shabby a backup OLB and Branch is not to shabby a 3rd DT.. Just my opinion
I've got high hopes for Stefan Charles in Schwartz's Defense as a rotational player too. Seemed like a good run stuffer in the brief times we saw him last year.
-
No news as of yet, I'm all on top of Twitter like a *insert vague sexual reference here*
-
I hope you are right!
What do we all think is a fair contract for Spikes?
4 years/$20M?
CBF
I'd say thats accurate considering Daryl Smith got 4 years, 16 million.
Taylor Lewan Charged With Assault?
