I didn’t see this posted so forgive me if it was but the Saints canned long time OC Pete Carmichael. He was the guy who Joe Brady started under when he was on Sean Payton’s  staff.
If Joe is kept  I could see a guy like Pete being brought in as QB coach since they are basically using a modified Saints system in Buffalo now and if he leaves you have a guy who has called plays in the league before.

He would be a great get for QB coach. Although he's been down south for so long, who knows if he wants to come up here. It's not for everyone. But he did grow up in the northeast so who knows.

Not saying the Bills shouldn't be confident, especially at home, but I wouldn't say that KC isn't very good. They have Reid, Mahomes, Kelce, Rice, Pacheco, a pretty good OL and an elite defense. That's nothing to sneeze at. They've had an absurd number of dropped passes and errors this year, but the main culprits either won't be on the field or won't get many targets (Toney, Moore, MVS). Since that Raiders debacle a month ago, they've simplified the offense and it's been more effective since.

    Nah...they suck.

And why are Bills fans so confident? Because Toney's foot was a few inches offside? A month ago, many of you expected to miss the playoffs.

I'm fairly confident because Chiefs aren't very good this year, the DLine is very healthy and playing well, and we have Josh Allen behind the best OLine he's ever had and young guys like Cook, Kincaid and Shakir have stepped up into reliable performers.

We have to. If not now, how will McDermott ever do it? Mahomes and Reid aren't going anywhere. They will never give Mahomes this poor a WR group again. Get it done or find someone else that can, that's my line in the sand.

This Chiefs team blows. Bills have absolutely no excuse to not return to the AFC Championship game. Anything less and McDermott should be replaced.

And anything less than a Super Bowl appearance and he should be on the hot seat going into the 2024 season, with the Super Bowl being the make or break expectation.

Allen is not going to be at his athletic peak forever.

The one thing I don't like about the decision is the short week it will give the Bills to prep for the division round assuming they beat Pittsburgh.  Buffalo's potential opponents next weekend all play today.  The fact that Buffalo's opponent next weekend will have played their wild card weekend game today (Saturday) makes it even worse.

It's a massive advantage for the Chiefs/Texans/Browns. Unprecedented, actually.

Any one of those three teams will likely be favored next weekend.

  6. Sort of weird they call it "Wild Card Weekend".

Bills, Chiefs, Texans, Cowboys, Lions, Bucs are all playing this weekend. None of them are wild card teams.

In reality, it's the 1st Round of the NFL Tournament. Could also call it the conference quarterfinals.

    Just thinking out loud.

So they're replacing Belichick with a guy in Meyo that only coached and played under Belichick? and they are expecting new things to happen? I guess it's possible depending who he brings in as his OC but tbh I think I would have looked elsewhere especially when the team's weakness was on offense.

I love this hire as a Bills fan.

Not saying Mayo isn't a brilliant guy with potential to be a great football head coach. But...I mean, come on. The Patriots are a mess and they needed to completely clean house and start from scratch. This isn't doing that.

I agree with your disagreement.  You could even throw in Favre as another example.  A wild man, a gun slinger, when he had a coach who persuaded him to rein it in and stop doing stupid *****, straight to the conference championship, Superbowl Baby!

It's even a bit more frustrating than that since Josh HAS had games where he has grown up and quit doing the stupid stuff.  Examples would include 2020 Rams and Seattle games, 2021 KC regular season game and NWE and KC playoff games.  In 2020, Allen had 37 passing TDs and 10 interceptions.  He not only can do it, he has done it at times.

Still think it's overblown. He doesn't throw pick 6's or fumble in end zones. He throws bombs on 4th down instead of taking sacks. Box score scouts say taking a sack on the 40 yard line on Sunday night (Dolphins start their drive at the 40) is better than committing throwing a pick in the end zone (Dolphins start their drive at the 20) but analytics say otherwise.

how may times do we complain when the ball gets ripped out after forward progress stops?

When was his forward progress stopped? He was still pushing when the refs were running in to stop the play. Brain worms.

The announcers commented on it and said that it was after the whistles were already blowing or some such and they gave him the furthest spot he achieved before the whistles.  Which may have been true, but simply brings up the question of why the whistles were suffering from "premature ejeculation".

Refs have to understand - when Allen is rushing the ball he isn't finished until he's (a) on the ground, (2) out of bounds or (d) in the end zone. Those idiots stopped play way too quickly.

  11. No one's talking about it because we won but why did the refs give Allen such a bad spot on the last 4th down QB sneak? I was livid. Not only that but McDermott didn't even throw the red flag.

Glad the defense stepped up in the end but we shouldn't have needed it. The game should've already been over.
