Allen had the ball and game in his hands and I am not saying he is not good or can't do it or anything, but he botched it as bad as Bass botched the field goal. He had the opportunity and missed. That's not on the defense, they gave us the opportunity with two huge stops at the end.

    What are you referring to?

    • Josh. I love Josh Allen. He is a special player. But for the love of god did he screw the pooch inside of 2 minutes. It’s not that I hate taking a shot at the end zone on a 2nd and long. In most situations, I am fine with it even if it doesn’t work out. But you have to know the situation here. The decision to gun it at that moment is terrible. Say it worked, that the Bills gun the ball into the endzone to take a 4 point lead under two minutes. That is 1:55 and 2 timeouts for the Chiefs to score and they had shown little issue moving up and down the field. Diggs is wide open on the crossing route for what should be an easy 1st down or a makeable 3rd. The clock keeps ticking. The Bills don’t need to hurry they have 2 timeouts and Kansas will be burning some too. Josh is a veteran at this point and while he had a good game on the whole those are the kinds of things people point too when they say that Mahomes is on another level.

If you have a sure touchdown with less than two minutes to go, you take it.

What QB in the middle of a play sees a touchdown developing and thinks "Oh well our defense sucks so forget throwing to an open WR in the end zone, I'm going to just dink and dunk here to wind the clock down and hope there's another opportunity for a touchdown later"?

It doesn't work that way. To blame Allen for that is laughable.

Maybe a weird post - but I was both excited about this game, and dreading it.  I was excited because winning would have been euphoria - but I expected losing to be completely devastating.  As it always has been for me.

I'm actually shocked that I'm in decent spirits right now.  It's nothing like previous losses in high-stakes games.  I usually can't sleep, but I think I'll sleep fine tonight.

Trying to figure it out.  Do I just expect this kind of stuff now?  Just curious if anyone else has a similar thing going on....

    Yep. I'm numb to it.

I also think this team sort of stunk all season and only reached this point because of Allen so I wasn't that surprised with a poor team performance against the defending champs.

I think a new coaching staff and overturning the roster would be the best strategy but I don't think Pegula is smart enough to do that so we'll keep seeing this happen over and over again - a team with flawed coach, mid roster and an elite QB making them relevant but always falling short in the end because you need more than just a great QB to reach the Super Bowl.

Not going to happen.  The Bills are not in a position to take 7.5 million in dead cap hits and then have to pay another player to take his place.  Stop thinking Madden franchise mode is real.  It's not.  Please come back to reality where the Bills are already $40 million over the cap and will have to work some magic to get under it and sign some key players.  Adding more holes and dead cap isn't in the cards.

I don't play video games. I just know when a kicker's skills have depreciated.

That happens to kickers all the time. Justin Tucker and Adam Vinatieri are the rarity. Shame on Beane for giving a kicker a contract like that.

Why has Diggs become our underneath guy anyways?  He used to blow by people or run 15-20 yard crossing patterns.  Now he is running mostly 5-7 yard turn ins and comebacks to the QB.  If Diggs is still an NFL receiver, (which is debatable) he has to be doing more then that.  Our route scheme w Joe Brady has been terrible.  Rarely is anyone even remotely open, let alone wide open.  And we go two thirds of the game without throwing to Kincaid.  And while I don't love Knox, we threw to him one time tonite.  That's ridiculous.

Brady's route scheme requires NFL receivers catching football that hit their hands and arms. That might be the issue.

Diggs dropping that bomb. We end of punting in that drive. No points scored. We probably (maybe?) get at least three there if caught.

Earlier in the day, Mike Evans showed America why he's a first-ballot Hall of Famer by making amazing catches all game.

Later that night, Stefon Diggs showed America why he's not a Hall of Famer by letting huge catches go throw his arms.

    So sad.

It's the wrong play. The clock is more important than the TD here. If you score on that play you give Mahomes the ball back with 1:55 left and 2 TOs.

The pass to Diggs was it. You take the easy first and keep burning clock. You need KC to burn both their TOs and have about a minute left. Allen is the best when he takes what the defense gives him and that was the right play.... not the long TD.

It would have been incomplete to Diggs just as much as it was incomplete to Shakir because he was hit as he threw the ball. Wtf are you babbling about.

This is the one that kills me the most. Josh missing the crossing route to Diggs there on the last drive on 2nd and 9. If caught, Diggs definitely gets a first and probably goes down around the 10. It’s plays like these that made a Brady great cause he would see it, take the easy, high percentage, throw and keep the chains moving and the clock ticking. I honestly think at this point Josh will never get us over the hump because of either his inability to see plays like that or unwillingness to take the easy dump off even at crunch time.

Bullspit. Brady always had a kicker who would make the kick to tie the game and then a defense that would stop the opposing offense from winning.

Brady was great but stop recreating history to praise him more than he deserves. He was great...and he was also extremely lucky.

So far Allen is extremely unlucky.

    That's life.

Even if Bass makes the kick (we knew he wouldn't) then the Chiefs have the ball with over a min left. You don't think Mahomes is going to get his guys in FG range when we didn't stop them at all the entire night? Again, don't blame Bass. This isn't his fault. We would have lost either way.

You know who doesn't have to worry about this? The NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. He has a kicker who will make the FG to tie and then a defense who will stop the offense on the next drive.

    Must be nice.

  10. Taron Johnson playing is huge.

Bernard has been excellent this season but I'm confident that Dodson and a combo of Klein/Williams can fill the LB roles just fine.

I'm confident the defense can play at a high level regardless of the injuries.

Game comes down to how the OLine plays vs. the Chiefs defensive front and if McDermott can limit his game management gaffes. We will find out soon enough.

Von and Coach are really smart people. Anyone think that maybe they were saving Von for this part of the playoffs and that his injury recovery was all for show? He could be a game changer when healthy.

Yes and I'll go one step further - the whole domestic violence thing was staged as well. They convinced Miller's fiance, the 9-1-1 operator and the Dallas police to go along with the ruse. All for this game.

Expect five or more sacks from Miller on Sunday night.

AFC Champ. He left the game in the 3rd concussion.  9 of 23 and an int I think was the stat line

America was soooooo pissed when the Bills won. Everyone wanted to see Montana vs. Young in the Super Bowl.

I think the Ravens will be a stiffer test than the Chiefs. Lamar is finally surrounded by WR talent and has Mark Andrews back. Isaiah Likely did very well in his absence so that gives them two very good TEs. Their defense is also just as tough as KC. So all in all, a better, more explosive offense with a defense that’s just as capable.

I think if Bills get past the Chiefs they will boat race whoever they face in the the AFCC. They will be cleared mentally and riding so high no one will have a chance.

He most certainly is an idiot and give him a few minutes and he will clear up any doubt about that.

I saw his whole interview not just the initial clip.

He went off the rails and started rambling nonsense about sh!t like "turnover worthy plays" shouldn't mean anything it's only a bad throw if it's intercepted and McAfee and Hawk had to rescue him before he went off further into the void.

And he was also convinced his important presence as a soccer owner is going to force The Premier League to officiate more fairly.   Hey @GunnerBill aren't you glad that JJ is there to fix everything for you guys?   Maybe an equivalent goofball.......I dunno, maybe Rowan Atkinson?.........can come over here and fix NFL officiating for us.

Also had this doozy the other day..........totally clueless to the fact that the game was cancelled as much because fans and workers couldn't get to the game as anything:
