  1. Had no idea who this BADOL poster was before this thread but needless to say I'm not impressed. And I don't even necessarily disagree with him about Shaq, I just depend on real evidence for my views which he seems either incapable of sharing or too lazy and/or arrogant to do so.
  2. Get a room.
  3. "Shaq is a bust because I said so" displays a much better understanding of the game.
  4. The more pressure you have, the more sacks you're going to have. It goes hand in hand. It's not as if Rex told the players "when you get close to the quarterback, stop before you sack him". Come on, now. If only the NFL were a five-game season.
  5. So Shaq is a bust after last season? A season in a Ryan scheme where the defense was near the bottom of the NFL in sacks? Where even Hughes couldn't get to the quarterback? I didn't even know this was a take from last season. Interesting.
  6. If Texans go 3-13 they'll also be looking for a QB because they will have a new coaching staff.
  7. These offenses tho
  8. I'll be honest. I got teary-eyed after the Monday night football loss to the Cowboys in 2007. The kind of teary-eyed you get if you stub your toe really hard or accidentally shoot yourself in the leg. Since that night, I've been quite numb to all losses. And there have been no wins worthy of tears for me.
  9. No need for a larger sample size. BADOL and a few others here already know exactly what Shaq is going to become and that he wasn't worth a first-round pick. But don't ask for real evidence (film examples, statistics, etc.), you'll have to just take their word for it.

  11. Right. Which doesn't mean Shaq isn't physically capable of being a quality pass rusher. Which oddly seems to be a popular opinion in this thread.
  12. Coach Tuesday thinks defensive linemen speed past OLinemen untouched like a cornerback blitz.
  13. You have no idea what you're talking about.
  14. Explosion and strength is not mutually exclusive. If bursting into the backfield before the running back can reach the line of scrimmage isn't 'explosion' then we have entirely different definitions of the word.
  15. Here's Shaq being "sluggish" and showing no explosion. What a bum. https://twitter.com/Cover_1_/status/907969281371131904
  16. He led college football in tackles for loss in 2015 and was second in the nation in sacks.
  17. All you had to say was "slow first step / poor reflexes." And having the ability to determine that from a player after one NFL game is quite impressive. Hopefully you get paid well for this talent. Having a pleasant or non-combative conversation with you is like pulling teeth.
  18. Based on what?
  19. Thank you for actually adding something of substance this time. Obviously Houston is a future Hall of Famer. All I was saying is that from a size, speed, combine drills and measurements standpoint Shaq compared favorably to Houston. And there is a direct, measured relationship between combine drills and on-field performance.
  20. Ugh. Do you need to see the combine numbers?
  21. Shaq is basically a Justin Houston clone from an athleticism/measurables standpoint. And he had more sacks in college than Houston did.
