  1. I can. Making $250,000,000.00 a year playing pool.
  2. Oh yeah. "Snake Plissken. I've heard of you........I heard you were dead." One of Carpenter's best movies, along with the first Halloween and Assault on Precinct 13.
  3. Step off! Just kidding. Status quo. Things are about even, I'd say.
  4. AND... A CB who can cover the slot WRs. A LG and a C who can stand up to the bull rushes of the massive DTs of today's NFL. A pass rusher, from the DE or the LB spot, who can come in on 3rd downs and bring the kind of rush that will help the DBs cover better and can possibly generate more turnovers. Depth at RB, LB, TE, and on both the offensive and defensive lines. Period.
  5. My Mother just called me a few minutes ago with the news. My sister in law (my brother's wife) had a tough time w/this pregnancy, so they induced labor this morning. All are doing well, I've been told. They had a girl: 7lbs, 5oz; 20.5", born around 9:45am (don't know the exact time yet). The name has not been determined yet, so I'll just call her "TBA".
  6. It's true about Ward. If Garza failed the team physical, maybe there were other factors. Just the absence of an ACL alone can't be the reason to fail a physical.
  7. Good breakdown there, FFS. Like you, I would love to see Nugent here as well, but not more than I would love to see un upgrade to the offensive line.
  8. I hope not! This draft is pretty bad, especially if the Bills leave LB Kevin Burnett, T Adam Terry, and G/C David Baas on the board in the 2nd round.
  9. Agreed. I really hope we don't reach for a tackle (not a very deep pool of talent there; most of the good ones will be gone by our 2nd round pick) when there's some really good interior OL on the board. I still think we can get a decent tackle in free agency, maybe after the June 1st cap cuts.
  10. I thought he was already dead.
  11. Which has no effect on me as I'm not from here. Hey, I'm from Erie, and they have a PBA tour event there (Flagship Open), so I know about how big bowling is in that area.
  12. Maybe Poachman can develop into a decent kicker, even compete for Lindell's job. We were quick to give up on Shayne Graham, who is a pretty good kicker for the Bengals.
  13. Yeah, we should take the Jimmy Johnson approach and wind up with a bunch of mediocre players with our 8 picks in the 5th round.
  14. She's from the Buffalo area? What a shock.
  15. I wonder if he's related to Donnie Hathaway.
  16. Not bad. I like the areas you addressed, though not some of the players. McFadden would be a very nice pick in the 2nd. We do need another corner to match up against multiple WR sets. That killed us against Pittsburgh in the season finale last year, especially on 3rd downs. Wilkerson has too many questions and there are others who are as talented as he is (Chris Spencer is the top center available while Jason Brown is another good one; Rob Hunt of North Dakota St is also moving up draft boards). Jones probably will not last until the 4th. Many teams are looking at him not only at TE, but possibly at WR also. Getting him in the 4th would certainly be considered a steal. Clarett? I dunno. He has the tools, but does he have what it takes mentally to adjust and become an effective NFL player? I fear he could be to RBs what Ryan Leaf was to QBs: immensely talented, but ridiculously immature. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd rather look elsewhere, maybe at Ryan Moats of Louisiana Tech, who seems to be slipping even though he's had good workouts and was extremely productive in college. Fleming is an interestng prospect at TE, but if we're going to draft a TE to develop, I hope it's Jerome Colllins of, God forgive me, Notre Dame. Despite going to that school, he's very talented and could become a very solid TE in the pros. It will take some work, as he's pretty new to the position, but I'd be happier with him than Fleming. Young is a very strong lineman and is athletic. I guess if we're going to employ a lot of pulling plays, he's not a bad choice. Personally, I'm hoping we're more of a straight ahead, drive blocking team. If that's the case, Sam Mayes of Oklahoma State is a very solid late round prospect. He's got good size, nice technique, and is a mauler in the ground game. His pass blocking isn't that special, but can be worked on.
  17. Whining? Oh, I'm sorry. That's from Two Bills Drive.
  18. You're right, you didn't say that. They did, and still do say that.
  19. Why is he a scrub player? Because most people around here know nothing about him? I'm not saying he's an All-Pro, but he is a solid player. Not a bad signing for the Bears. He can play his way into or out of a deal after this season.
  20. It is a unique name, huh? The guy is a very good tackle as well. I think he decided to stay in school because he knows he needs to bulk up even more (added about 25lbs of muscle, but still is just about 300, maybe even 295) and refine his technique even more. His athleticism probably would've landed him in the top 10 in this draft had he decided to come out. If he stays healthy and productive, he'll be a lock for a top 10 spot in next year's draft.
  21. Yep. With TV news, you get a lot of that crap. Even on the 'cable' channels like CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, etc. You have to wade through a bunch of garbage to get to the actual news. That's one of the reasons I like to read different news websites and/or papers in addition to watching news networks.
  22. If he's ranked 12th in a weak pool of tackles, that's not saying much. This year would've been better if some guys had decided to come out, in particular D'Brickshaw Ferguson of Virginia. Next year's group should be much better.
  23. Having a bias as far to the right as the rest of the media does to the left does not make you impartial. Really, did anyone honestly think that a news channel run by the former producer of Rush Limbaugh's TV show would be impartial?
  24. Oh. I was supposed to be here all week, but some guy from Connecticut just took my spot. They say his material is first rate.
  25. That's the plan, I'm sure. Ooh. I'm telling Congress. You're gonna get it!
