Your kidding.........right?

I know like everyone else that Edwards got off to a slow start against the Seahawks. But something that I saw him do better than any Bills quarterback for quite some time was his slideing around in the pocket. On his TD pass to Royal you can see how he instinctively felt pressure, deftly takes a step forward while keeping his eyes downfield, and launches a perfect pass to his TE. Thats not something that can be taught, its natural. This kid has a pretty good line in front of him, but he's going to make them look even better.

Does the NFL honestly think that fans will buy the argument

Can't you people see that this guy is simply fanning the fire? Stop being so predictable! -
I pity the fools!

Too many picks at bad times is what almost ALL rookie QBs do. J.P. is a four year vet who I still cringe everytime he drops back to pass. I'm not a J.P. hater, nor am I going to put blinders on when it comes to Edwards, but come on J.P. is an R.J. clone.
-
How did he fail so badly at the end of the season? Two of those games (Cleveland and the Giants) were blizzard like conditions in which neither QB had any chance to do anything. Give the kid a break. He showed much, much more than J.P. has ever. The difference between the two, as far as I'm concerned, is when Trent is in I'm waiting for him to do something good, when J.P. is in I'm waiting for him to do something bad. Nuff said.

I really expect to see us repeat what was done last year, and also the year we drafted Evans and Losman. With the extra picks the Bills have I would be somewhat surprised to not see them package a couple to move back into Rd 1 for a second selection. Especially if we draft someone like Harvey at #11 and one of the top WRs is still available between #24 - #30. This is the mode of operation that Buffalo seems to function at, and I like it!
-
I don't usually get into predicting who the Bills will or should pick in the draft, so many try, and so few come close when the dust settles. But I recently have thought about "What If" they went WR in rds 1 & 2. Lets say they pick Sweed or Kelly in rd 1, and come rd 2 Hardy is still sitting there. The Bills would go from having one of the smallest group of WRs to one of the biggest. Could you imagine a 4 wr set with Evans, Parrish or Reed, Sweed, and Hardy for this year. Also we got "potentially" two young wr studs locked up for the next 4 years, growing together with Edwards. Might make losing Evans (maybe) next year a little less threatening. Flame away amigos!

I could see the Bills possibly packaging our #11 with Losman to move up to get him. Maybe Long, Dorsey, or Ellis. Is that out of reality?

Youbouty versus a 1st round drafted CB
Mr. T replied to Pyrite Gal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You got "a LOT" of time on your hands! It was interesting for the first 1500 words or so, after that it reads like a college final paper. -
Who is talking video games smart guy? If there is any position on a football team where a switch can be made without too much difficulty it's from the OLB to the MLB. These kinds of changes happen. It's not like moving a safety to CB. It's more like moving a CB who has lost a step to safety.
-
With the probable departure of Fletcher, the development of both Crowell and Ellison at OLB, and the fact that Spikes has lost a step due to the injury, why not try moving Spikes to the inside. He's much bigger than Fletcher and with his intensity and leadership he might be just what we need at MLB.

"Some" Supporters here of JP are TOO protective
Mr. T replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Moulds was never JP's #1 WR to begin with. That's why Moulds choose to leave. Evans was and still is the #1 receiver. -

Uuuhhhhh, I for one "hoped" he would. What I don't agree with concerning how some view JP is I don't consider him to be a rookie. Too many folks around treat him as though he "just" stepped out of college. He's been in the "NFL" now for almost 3 years. Granted he was hurt his "rookie" year. But he was able to stand on the sidelines and supposely learn that entire first year. Last year he got his chance, did very poorly, was yanked by a coach that was a worse coach than JP was a QB. This year is his "third" year away from college and he only seems to get worse. I know, I know, it's ALL the OL faults, and the coaches fault, and the GM fault, and the WR fault, and the trainers fault, and Jerry Sullivan's fault for writing mean things about him. But it can't be JP's fault. -
Like many here, I believed JP would have a breakout year. I wanted it, I waited for it, I still want him to turn things around, "But" let's be real. I know the OL is bad, but it ain't all on them. When the coaches limit the offense to 13 passes to protect the QB, or lack of confidence, the defense has a tremendous advantage over the poor fools (OL) trying to make something out of nothing. The OL is not helping JP, but JP ain't helping the OL or anyone else either. Defenses have little to no respect for JP and the Bills offense so they are coming into the game with confidence they are going to shut us down. JP hasn't done a thing yet to change that attitude. I am a die hard Bills fan, have been for 40 years, and always will be. But I ain't blind either. I've watched JP, and I see what I see, a young QB that has a lot of physical tools, but little to no feel for the game. That sounds like another young QB the Bills sent packing a few years. RJ anyone? Remember how Bills fans kept waiting for things to click for him? It never did. Oh by the way, remember how the OL that looked so horrible for RJ suddenly became a lot better with the midget QB? I'm not completely ready to give up on JP, yet. A certain QB in New Orleans took a couple of years to come around. The big difference between Brees and JP is important to keep in mind. Brees does not have the physical tools but he is football smart. JP has the tools but hasn't shown much yet mentally. The question is, how long do the Bills wait for the game to finally come to JP? The Bills have a lot of areas that need improving, but there is no position as important as the QB. A good QB cures a lot of ills, and our QB is pretty sick himself right now. Get well soon JP, or get out of the way!

Play him. If he struggles against Houstan and the Bills are losing in the second half at home, pull the plug on this guy and let's move on and see what Nall can provide. He can't do any worse!

Thats why they call it "fantasy"! The plane, the plane!

Chicago ain't Indy! They play in the lesser conference.

I know, I know the Bills won today. Enjoy, right? But as bad as the Bills looked today on offense, and as much yds as the defense gave to GB, can we just skip next week and move to the following week against Houston? Sorry, but Colts 41 Bills 10 (Manning plays only 2 1/2 quarters. Bills score TD in 4th quarter. Never thought I'd see the day when I would stoop so low. Hope I'm wrong.
-
As poorly as the Bills have been playing I don't think there is any team we shouldn't be afraid of.
-
If we win this game we may finish the season with 6-8 wins. We lose this game, at home, against a team about where we are right now, we'll be lucky to win 4 - 5 games.

Are we Bills Fans, Sabres Fans or Buffalo Fans?
Mr. T replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
?????????? What's the problem with this thread? Seems like it has generated a little interest. What would you prefer, another Bills Suck, JP Stinks, our OL is a mess, the Bills are doomed thread?
