  1. I think some of the most underrated plays were the good runs when EJ was playing. I've noticed over the years that when a more experienced quarterback comes into the game the running game gets better. I remember this was the case when Fitz took over, for example. Not sure if it is the footwork, hiding the ball, calling the right blocking (probably a combination of all of the above) but some quarterbacks seem to be able to create better running games. That wasn't the case with EJ in the past but last night it was. He just seemed smooth and calm. Not sure if it will be TT or EJ... and not sure I care...as long as it is one of those two.

The flip side to this point is that when Meh was in. Look at how he hands the ball off... He holds it in front of him for what seems like an eternity. I have no faith in his ability to run play action. EJ, on the other hand has a smooth hand off, and his play action is very well hidden. For some reason I don't have an opinion on TT (must be my EJ goggles are blinding me).

  2. Not trying to be an ass, but pinning this thread but not updating the first post to have an updated list is madness.

I could read all 7 pages... I could goto another website to track it... But I get a ton of Bills news from this site. If I have some time, and not on my phone, maybe I'll get a list started for the OP.

  3. I mentioned that in one of the many Cheatriot threads,

    No, or is it yes?

An ineligible eligible receiver played the next down as an eligible receiver in which the Refs did not throw a flag.

I just feel that the Ref's didn't specifically know this rule: hence no flag.

What I don't understand is how these rules were not emphasized with the officials after the Ravens game. I would like to think that crews say things like "Hey watch number X or Team X, they have been pushing the limits of X rule." Or worse, the media coverage of the incident should have made officials aware of the rules.

IF this happens in the Superbowl I will be upset at the Refs/NFL for not enforcing a known problem with a team.

  4. I know that this rule has probably been posted already...

From the NFL Rulebook (Rule 5 Section 3):

    Section 3 Changes in Position
    REPORTING CHANGE OF POSITION
Article 1 An offensive player wearing the number of an ineligible pass receiver (50–79 and 90–99) is permitted to line up in
the position of an eligible pass receiver (1–49 and 80–89), and an offensive player wearing the number of an eligible pass
receiver is permitted to line up in the position of an ineligible pass receiver, provided that he immediately reports the
change in his eligibility status to the Referee, who will inform the defensive team.
He must participate in such eligible or ineligible position as long as he is continuously in the game, but prior to each play he
must again report his status to the Referee, who will inform the defensive team. The game clock shall not be stopped, and
the ball shall not be put in play until the Referee takes his normal position.
In the bolded part of the rule, do we know if the Patriots players who reported as ineligible stayed ineligible until they were off of the field for one legal play? For example: A Patriots RB reports as ineligible for play 1 from scrimmage. That RB MUST be ineligible until he comes off of the field and every play MUST inform the referee every play that he is ineligible. This would be an easy thing for an official to overlook.
  5. It's the cost of doing business for a hosting a kids birthday party. Sending a bill??? Ugh.

Here's a follow up question. What happens if the boy cannot attend as noted....but drops off a present at the party before heading to his grandparents? Does this 'gift' negate/lesson the cost issue for the host mom? Does mom behave the same way? This whole this (for the host) is in very bad form imo.

Bolded text is correct. What parent hosts a kids b-day party expecting to come out even?

Lawyers on this board will know better, but does the host mother even have a case in small claims court? What binding contract was signed by this kid? Is a verbal, "I am coming" good enough??
