  1. LOL I'm just kidding around. If NE lost every game they played 51-0 I would still watch every snap to enjoy it! I do want to see how hyped and melodramatic the Brady return to NE this season will be, though. Jimmy G being the QB there just adds to it.
  2. Jimmy G to NE MUST HAPPEN! For one, I want to see NE games be more than just us beating them down for a change. It's a little bit sad to see what they've become. Two, it adds even more to the Brady/Belichick Bowl this season!
  3. Harris definitely seems like a "process" type guy. Isn't he the player who drove across the country when his flight was cancelled just to support his teammates on their pro day?
  4. How much does he get paid for being on the practice squad? Maybe it's a nice payday and a chance to live his dream. He's an NFL player, regardless of whether he is on the active roster or the practice squad. I checked Spotrac but it's all over the place with his contracts. It looks like Wade has at least made $200,000+ over 2 years in the program, plus he is in the NFL.
  5. is it me, or has Romo's voice gotten sort of rough the past year or so? always sounds like he has vocal issues
  6. Now we can draft a Norte Dame guard at 30 and a giant mountain of a DT in the 2nd round! This is great news!
  7. This is why football is such a fun and popular sport. There are so many totally different ways to play this game. I personally enjoy seeing teams take on entirely different personalities and styles. The Ravens have a way that they want to play football and win games, and it works most of the time with Lamar, judging by W/L record. When you play them it's an entirely different type of game, and that's fun for fans I think. Probably for a lot of players too.
  8. It's simple to me. The Bills hit the jackpot with Beane, Mcdermott, and Allen. They threaded the needle. It's so rare in sports, and it's a reason I would actually be surprised if the Bills don't WIN a Super Bowl or 2 over the next decade. This doesn't happen very often. Look around the NFL. How many teams have a top-notch GM, HC, and QB? New coaches and GM's usually don't work out, as we've seen here with these teams. But it's true all over the league. How many "next big thing" coaches have been fired just in the NFL after a couple of seasons? There is a TON of luck involved in picking the right people for your franchise, and that's OK. Everyone is great, wonderful, well-respected, etc. Few actually pan out. The Sabres have been on the exact other end of that luck. They have squandered so much draft capital it is truly stunning. Couple that with awful coaching and reckless GM's and you have what you see there.
  9. YES! A big DT in the draft would make this a great offseason.
  10. I would have loved a 2 year deal here, just in case he has an insane season In terms of the player, good signing, though!
  11. Bills currently have the best QB in the division, and it's not even close. NE has an all-time great coach, so they could always be dangerous. They finished 7-9 with their entire defense opting out and almost no talent on offense. I wouldn't write them off. NE is now the pre-Josh Allen Bills. Chasing the top team but without a QB to match up.
  12. Love it! I hope it's a 2 year deal at least so Daboll can't take him wherever he goes next offseason!
  13. No, but Sammy is apparently known for having very long, in-depth and "out there" type conversations with whoever is willing to participate (probably mostly listen). There was a long article about it a while back. He's definitely an interesting character! I agree with those who've said that the Ravens seem like a good fit for both sides.
  14. Sammy comes to town, and a meteor lights up the skies of WNY this weekend... I'm not saying that Sammy has some mystical power over space and time, but I'm not not saying it either.
  15. Exactly... It's a nice luxury to have a guy who was talented enough to go #2 overall a few years ago as your backup. For the Bills. that's how far we've come, and it's great!
  16. Terry Pegula loved Trubisky going into that draft. Not saying that had anything to do with it, but I'm sure he's excited to have the guy on the Bills as the 2nd option.
  17. What about Slayton or Bohanna? I admit to knowing almost nothing about college football. I'm just going by how big the draft eligible DTs are! the good news is that this feels realistic (a giant DT in this draft) because Beane and McDermott seem to want a guy like that on the DL, based on their attempts to replace Jordan Phillips and their signing of Star originally, who isn't quite as big but played that role before here. It would be nice to have a guy like that in the system for little $$
  18. LOL, right? But now it's laugh at the Chargers time, which is a lot more fun than remembering that history! I don't feel too bad.. the Chargers don't even have a fanbase in LA.
  19. Solid addition as a backup who can come in and maybe win you a few games if Allen has to miss time, which hopefully will not happen. Plus Mitch gets a SB ring out of the deal. Win-win for all!
  20. Detroit and Cincinnati But as soon as those teams get good, if that happens, things change fast. Look at Cleveland's all-star roster.
  21. My only real rooting interest in the draft is the Bills drafting a giant DT. I'm sure the other picks will be fine and exciting, but I just want a 350+ pound DT out of this draft.
  22. He fumbled the game away for the Saints vs the Bucs in the playoffs this year. That alone makes him a good fit for the Chargers, who enjoy heartbreaking losses.
  23. There's all kinds of creative goofiness you can do with the cap. If the players you sign for big $$ produce then it's no big deal. It's bad contracts for big $$ that kill your cap structure.
  24. Agreed, and it's so much fun to think this way now!
