...the story on ESPN's site and NFL.com indicate he hyperextended the surgically repaired left knee. yet another report said it was his right knee. when i watched the replay, it appeared to me that it was his right knee that planted awkwardly and hyperextended.
does anyone locally have reliable info?

my god, these guys suck. oh well, go bills.

exactly. it cracks me up that people are rooting for pittsburgh to "not care" about the last game. umm, excuse me, but what's the point of getting into the playoffs if you don't think you can beat another playoff team in your own building?
the jets begin a 4-game swoon today at pittsburgh. miami and the giants pull off shockers. the bills win by 30. hey, a guy can dream, right?

help please!

it's simple. i want to learn that the bills KNOW they are one of the best and most balanced teams in the league. it is said that "on any given sunday" one team can beat another in this league, but the best teams do not allow a weak opponent to threaten them in their own stadium.

gameday prediction -- peters catches his first NFL pass and runs over some poor DB who tries to tackle him.

this is a wonderful topic and all (college BB is second only to the NFL in my book), but you are all missing the point....which is....
the HEELS are back. be afraid. be very afraid.

...the way he catches the ball. with his freaking HANDS. i haven't seen a catch where he lets the ball come into his body. the man reaches out and grabs the ball. of course, that one-handed catch sunday was freakish, but i'm dead serious. to see a kid have such great fundamentals and technique at this point in his career is awesome. the sky's the limit.
of course, i realize i've just jinxed him and we'll see 5 drops sunday. but i couldn't help it. i'm damn impressed.

i upgraded my zonealarm pro firewall to include their integrated virus protection -- has been working fine.

i don't think henry will be traded. his value has gone down significantly (history of leg injuries, poor performance early this year) and the bills won't be able to get enough in a trade for it to make sense. i see henry coming back as the backup for one more season, then hitting the FA market in 2006. i don't believe he will be a distraction -- how can the guy question mcgahee's productivity?
now, if some stupid GM happens to throw out a ridiculous offer like a #2 for henry, all bets are off and i'd say make the deal. but i just don't see that happening.
-
thomas is out for the next 2 games. combine that w/ mcgahee's "homecoming" and i just can't see the dolphins slowing him down.
midweek prediction: bills 27, fish 6
mcgahee's line: 28/125, 2 TD

i have a hard time reading further when anyone uses the phrase "you're a homo" in actual conversation. c'mon steve, what the f*ck? grow up.

It’s nothing but a pleasure to read the rants. Ice seems to be a good guy. I’m just as hated here. I really don’t give a rat’s ass though because THIS IS A FRIGGIN MESSAGE BOARD ON THE INTERNET YOU JACKASSES! Its great to come here and chat with some of you, about 15% of you. But if your going to rip into somebody because they vent about this Bills team then you’re just as bad as the person venting. Leave the guy alone. If Ice hates Drew then let him hate Drew. I sit on the political boards and watch these Bush haters and not say a dang word. I like Bush, great guy with huge nuts to stand up to the world. If you don’t, then that’s your opinion. I wont waste my time posting on crap about it, even though most of you drink Michael Moore’s bath water. That aside, its moronic to read some of the crap you guys nail on each other or logoff and log in a guest because you too much of a puss to say what you got to say. Call me an idiot? Maybe I am, hell im in the Navy. But smart enough to stay in and retire at the age of 37 and give my family a great life. My last year at sea and then im home for shore duty where ill be at 5 of the 8 home games next season. I always keep a tab on some of you who have “Internet Muscles” here. Because believe me when I say, I will stand in front of you and give you the opportunity to get off your chair (if you physically can without help or causing a heart attack) and say what you feel with me looking right at you. Ice, keep posting away brother, I owe you a nice cold beer and a big bucket of wings when we meet. Well, im off to work my 18 hour day so you all can overeat in safety… Post-away fellas…
am i the only one rolling my eyes after reading this? thanks for your service to our country, NBF -- i really mean that. but oh, the irony...

ICE is the greatest con man ever to pretend to be a Bills' fan . 90% of the time his posts flat out suck or are average at best. Only the hard up and KzooMike Bills' fans can continue to make excuses in the TBD world for him.
He is what he is, below average at best. From time to time he will pull a decent post out of his ass and that allows him to keep his status. Over the last 2 weeks even his most ardent fans have finally seen the truth. Two good games later, he is showing his true colors but will start anew once we lose another game.
This whole subject is old. It was old from the D&C days, through the RJ/Flutie days, to today with Bledsoe. But you guys are so damn hard up you are willing to look past how badly this jackass has been THIS year, because he's the loudest and most ardent.
You know what? Many have fought this battle with this moron for nearly 7 years in some form or fashion. During that time we have had the #1 board and God knows what else. We have had numerous posters with less than 1000 posts who contribute more insight and humor without needing the ridiculous amount of attention that is apparently required. ONE DAMN POSTER has failed us time and time again....ICE!
I have come to the accept the fact you guys have long ago lost sight of the one and only goal a team should have...a decent board that isn't completely dominated by one clown in desperate need of attention. My GOD folks, as long as ICE pretends to be a fan, kharma will keep our team from the SuperBowl.
I am not done with this subject. ICE is a below average poster. Has always been, but the glitz and glamor of numbers coupled with being an individual horn tooter, many are blinded to the truth. Until the day comes we aren't subject to his continued rants, with his complete lack of personal discipline, we will continue to be subject to marginal blather and ridiculous threats.
Hey, this was kind of fun.
i read this 10 minutes ago and i'm still chuckling...great job AD.

Perhaps the greatest tribute to Bledsoe's play is that folks complaining about him have now fallen back to citing him as a QB who can never win the SB for us. Wow, just 2 weeks ago it was that he could never win a game for us and last week he will never win a road game for us. With progress like this the sky's the limit.
Look, JP is clearly the QB of the future, but his delay of game call shows that clearly the future ain't now. I have no complaints about Bledsoe's work today because though his flaws were real and important we put up 38 points with those flaws.
If you're waiting for Bledsoe to be John Elway, I agree with you he ain,t Elway, Montana or any of he greatest QBs ever. However, he clearly showed today that he can bea good seat warmer for our QB of the future, doing his part in road victories which allow JP to get the playing time he needs for his development in mop-up time.
I have no problem with that whatsoever and in fact as a Bills fan I'm pretty happy about it.
thank you for that post. for crissake, we just beat the bejeezus out of a team picked by many to represent the NFC in the super bowl...in their building...by 29 points. i'm pretty friggin' happy.

It all comes down to Seattle. Road games are won with good defense. That is what we need, some big plays on defense. Certainly, we have the special teams talent to do some damage there. We have to be patient on offense and avoid the big mistakes.
Seattle has not beaten a team with a winning record and lost to the Rams twice. Their wins came against SF (beat them twice) who is 1-9, the Fins who are also 1-9, Carolina who is 3-7, and the Saints and Bucs who are both 4-6. They lost to Arizona, NE and the Rams twice. These guys can be beat.
exactly. it all starts with seattle. if the bills find a way to win and get the "road monkey" off their backs, the schedule is set up for a run. there's no reason for buffalo to lose to san fran, cleveland, or miami. then we're all of a sudden looking at 8-6 w/ the bengals and steelers left.
it's all about this week. the bills should be treating this as their super bowl. wait, scratch that. their AFC championship game. much better memories there.
-
good god, man. how can you possibly say this about ANY road game for the bills until they prove they can get it done outside of RWS? i'm as optimistic as the next guy, but come on....they haven't even been able to get out of their own way.
-
4 games for substance abuse. The young Bills secondary catches a break. Makes me feel alot better about our chances even on the road!
robinson drops as many as he catches. his backup is probably more sure-handed.

There have been some disturbing rumours as to why JP Losman is not "ready" to play in the NFL. His leg is apparently healed, but there is talk that JP is not making the mental effort, or taking the challenge before him seriously enough to suit the Bills coaching staff.
How much you want to bet Coach Mullarkey decided to "slap JP upside the head" by throwing him to the wolves in New England? A little 5-minute wake-up call to introduce Mr. Losman to how the game is played in the NFL? It could have been a way to get JP's attention, and impress upon him his need to apply himself.
What do you all think?
i've considered that as a possibility. at first i was incredulous that MM put JP in the game, particularly since he had been telling all of us that he isn't healthy. but the "wake-up-call" theory holds some water. i wonder if JP wasn't on the sideline yucking it up with some other backup or rookie during the blowout, MM looked over and saw him, and it just pissed him off. perhaps JP hasn't been focused in meetings, knowing he's the 3rd string "emergency" guy.
the bottom line is that there is so much going on behind closed doors that we will never know. we all have our opinions that are based solely upon the small portion of activity that we see and hear.
unless someone has all the facts, it's all speculation. but i like the theory.

the edge only went for 200 yards today. yep, you're right. not the same player he was before.
are you a doctor? a knee specialist? anything other than a casual football fan? if not, then how can you "honestly think" anything about mcgahee's medical condition that carries an ounce of credibility?
The way i see it shaking down.......

denver may be coming apart at the seams, but tennessee can't stop anybody. that game could be a real shootout -- fun for christmas night.
ravens/steelers will be interesting. i'm glad that game is at 1:00 and the patriots/jets is not until 4...steelers have to be thinking they need a win to stay in position for home-field. plus, i'm sure they're motivated to avenge the season's only loss and knock baltimore out of the playoff hunt.
jacksonville really scares me. damn that fuggin' first game. their schedule sets up nicely. houston played a real solid road game in chicago sunday; maybe they keep it close and then anything can happen.
regardless of what happens in the pit/bal game, new england has to be thinking they must win vs. the jets to keep home field alive.
this is quite exciting -- who'da thunk five weeks ago we'd even have the opportunity to be in this position?
