  1. I despise BOTH the Jets, and the Dolphruits. When we play these chumps, we can't tail off, like we did today. In all our wins thus far, we've used multiple receivers. Apparently, we only had TWO on the roster today. When Brad Smith was a Jet, he ran rough-shod all over the Bengals. Where was he today? In this league, there's no reward for cowardice. If you don't score, you can't win.

  2. At this point the threat of Merriman is worth more than the actual player. the guy's best days are clearly behind him. Unless he does another roid cycle, do not expect too many "lights out dances." from this guy. Tom Brady had enough time to do his taxes in that pocket. With a healthy Aaron Hernandez, we lose that game by ten or more. I'm officially filing Shawne Merriman in the "better than nothing section" of my fanbook.

  3. This Pats team is simply a juggernaut. They make adjustments better than any team I can think of. Only reason why Eli and the New York (New Jersey) Giants beat them in '08 was the Giants other-worldly defense. They haven't had a defense that talented (when motivated) since then. Also, with the addition of Burress they had the ability to score almost at will. I think if we can score tit for tat with them, we may have a chance late in the game to get a key stop, and then close it out at home. But we HAVE TO SCORE TOUCHDOWNS. That means moving the chains, and keeping those three-and-outs to a minimum.

  4. With all due respect, we may be asking (and answering) the WRONG question. One of the OP's on this board once commented that Brady had time to eat a sandwich before throwing strikes. What they neglected to mention was that he also had time to MAKE that sandwich before leisurely consuming it. My point is this: Brady is good at making it LOOK LIKE he's what's hurting teams, but what if he isn't? On Sunday I saw a Charger team so focused on corraling Brady that they allowed Hernandez, Gronkowski, Welker, and Branch to shred them. No matter what, Brady WILL get the ball off to one of those guys. Why not focus on neutralizing his targets? Yah sure, our secondary is AWFUL. So what? Are we just supposed to accept that as fans? Whatever happened to GETTING BETTER? Pushing yourself. -Any of these sound familiar? The Chargers secondary (also lousy) refused to commit to neutralizing his weapons. If throwing the ball looks unappetizing to Brady, They'll have no choice but to pound the rock. I like our chances much better if we drag them into a ground and pound conflict.
