  1. When the refs decided to allow anything & everything to go past false starts / offsides, the Bille lost the game. They was zero structure out there & I actually watch Merriman get held on one of the last plays, one of the many times that wasn't called.

The Tuck play is also officially the biggest joke in the league because any player holding the ball that loses it before going down or out of bounds lost it. If you do a flea flicker, is that QB afforded a tuck rule as well?? It's almost like if you get a tuck rule against you, you'll lose for sure.

I am going to check the officiating crew next week & see who we have, these guys today were loosey goosey.

  2. I live in Massacusetts, so while I am a Bills fan, and root for the Bills when they play the Pats, I like the Patriots too. Is that okay of me? Am i NORMAL?

Rooting for the hometown team is fine as long as it's not the Pats, otherwise is heresy & you need to commit hari-kari. (JK)

  3. I am from Southern Illinois and I would really like to get a Sports Illustrated with the Bills cover. Since it is regional it is not available here. I would be happy to pay extra for someones time if someone could pick one up for me. To make things easier I will be at the Bills game against the Eagles and could meet up and pay it at your convienence. I plan on parking in Hammer's Lot if that makes it any easier. If someone would be willing to do this please send me a PM and we can iron out the details.

Once agian thanks in advance to everyone.

Also, sorry if this should be in another forum, I am new around here so please take it easy on me.

5th post Quick question, which QB lead the Buffalo Bills to a major victory in the early 1990's ??

  4. You predicted 8-8 & told us so?? We're looking better than that so far, so you haven't really told us anything but that you're looking for attention.

I'm here to say that I was correct all along. I've seen gradual improvements from this team since the start of last season. To me it made no sense to predict that the improvement wouldn't continue into this season. I saw NOTHING in free agency that would improve the Bills. I didn't see them beating the Patriots this year but I predicted them at 8-8 this season.

This is not the correct thread but I'm not going to pass up a golden opportunity to say I told you so. It's as simple as watching the progress on the field and being patient. This team is getting better everyday and it started over a year ago.

  5. I have thought since last year that Rhinehart is better, but the staff must feel Urbik has more growth potential or something. It will be interesting to see what happens when Urbik is healthy again and just as an aside, I wish we had this kind of depth at the tackle position. I also want to give credit to Chan, Alesandro and mostly to Buddy for getting these kind of guys in here off waivers and PSs last year.

I hope we have this problem about having depth all season, fingers crossed.

  6. As a side note, have you seen his lower body this year?

Kelsay has been doing some serious squats. He seemed top heavy to me but he looks like he spent the offseason on a squat rack.

I think that lower body strength is making a big difference on the football field.

I've seen him in person in Arizona and he is a huge dude, but he kinda had the Shane Conlon toothpick thing going on.

Whatever he is doing, he looks like a whole new man compared 2010 liability Kelsay.

Something has changed, whatever it is I like it.

  7. It is pretty good. but I wouldn't say it is better than say, california. though that might be me thinking the grass is always greener on the otherside.

Ybor isn't what it used to be, but still plenty of good looking girls outnumbering the guys easy.

This was a few years ago but like I said there is more good looking girls outnumberbing the guys, it's like finding a all super-hot girl tribe in the jungle with no males around. You'll get laid a lot & the gals are hot!

    Picture of Bills stack

Unlike previous “natural” picks, which depend on exact timing of receivers’ routes, in the Bills’ stacking formation the first receiver can more easily set a pick because the receiver directly behind him is running a following route — at least until the pick is set and the second man veers off, away from the blocked-out defenders. Ironically, this is the formation that the Bills used to beat Belichick’s Pats last Sunday, 34-31.
  9. Pats fans probably figured the weather favored them as well for their away game last weekend.

My avatar shows how well that worked out for them ;)

It favored the offense for both team, henceforth all the points scored. Cincy's offense is weak, so this doesn't bode well for them.

Is this really particularly interesting or newsworthy?

When you normally score a lot of points during the game, nice weather conditions have a tendency to allow offenses to perform at higher levels. Rain / snow makes things slippery & tend to lead to lower scores. Also, there are more than a few here going to the game so I think this is relevant. If you check other boards, you'll see many of my exact topics from here popping up as their spare time to write something.

  10. Stolen from streetkings01 from late last night:

The Bengals have a great defense argument can now be put to rest

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This has been talked about alot........but I decided to do the research since I was bored. Here are the net yards of the Bengals opponents against other teams.....

    49ers week1 vs Sea - 209 net yds(124 passing, 85 rushing)

    49ers week2 vs Dal - 206 net yds(132 passing, 74 rushing)

    Broncos week1 vs Oak - 310 net yds(272 passing, 38 rushing)

    Broncos week3 vs Ten - 231 net yds(172 passing, 59 rushing)

    Browns week2 vs Ind - 303 net yds(197 passing, 106 rushing)

    Browns week3 vs Mia - 280 net yds(210 passing, 70 rushing)

Now here are the stats of the Bengals vs these 3 teams...

    Bengals week1 vs Browns - 285 net yds(202 passing, 83 rushing)

    Bengals week2 vs Broncos - 318 net yds(187 passing, 131 rushing)

    Bengals week3 vs 49ers - 226 net yds(176 passing, 50 rushing)

I think what these stats tell us is that the Broncos, Browns and 49ers offenses suck no matter what defenses they face. The Broncos has their best rushing performance against the Bengals D and the 49ers had their best passing performance against the Bengals D. For Marvin Lewis to even compare his teams D to the 2000 Ravens is laughable. If the Bills opened up against the Browns, Broncos and 49ers we would be top 10 in offense and defense.
