  1. NBA Basketball system is more like the NFL versus baseball where there is grapefruit / Triple A / Double A ball to be played. NBA holds a draft & the top picks are expected to perform right out of the box to a point, unlike the NFL which still takes years to season them with a few expections depending on the position. I also see that certain college players that have been left out of the draft can hook onto any team that is willing to pick them up, which at least gives them a chance to play.

Jason Peters is a prime example of what is all that's wrong in Buffalo. We build up a found talent, make him a probowler & refuse to pay him market for his talents when needed. That type of behavior by the owner seems like someone who is looking to just get by versus winning it all, make as much hay as possible without paying for the straw mentality. So if the owners are allowed to make a massive profit, what stops players from eventually improving their pay when needed as per their circumstances??

I'm sorry to those who don't like my simple writing style, nor my entirely grammatically incorrect writing. I just think that getting points across quickly that make you think is more important than if I capatilize and put periods / commas in all the time.

  2. Because that's idiotic, and football would become baseball, with the Yankees of the NFL buying championships. The major drawing point in football is parity. Any team can be bad one year and good the next. The draft was put in place to ensure that, so the worst teams get a chance at the best players, keeping the sport interesting.

So what's your saying is that if a normal person wants to apply for a NFL position they cannot ?? You have to go through the supplemental draft or straight draft ?? This is america & if you want to apply for a position, you simply should be able to. The union decertified & claimed the draft is illegal, they need to get all the legal ramifications put in front of them. I pose a obvious scenario that can happen.

  3. Can't Andrew Luck decide he wants to be a multi-millionaire now & join any NFL team he wants?? Is this illegal like the draft is now?? The players crossed the lIne, why can't the college boys ?

If I was a top prospect & decided that playing for the Panthers didn't fit my needs, why couldn't I find the team that was best for my situation all the while getting rich doing so ? I'm one to wonder why the established systems are in place & how to challenge them, live strong.

  4. I'll let you know in 3 years.

I read on here that after Maybin's 2nd season, that he is done. Shouldn't we give him 3 years as well or is this a quick quip to try to make a point ? One of the questions on here is also if Chan is leaning towards the offensive side of the ball, so it's just not draft pick related but draft direction related. Spiller was BPA last year but was not our biggest need, so is Chan going to go that way again ?? Sorry I wasn't more clear in my writing & paragraph's are longer than the first few sentences (my run on sentences).

wow, thread is already over. Thank you, previous poster.

    For you, it never started.

  5. I sit here & ponder the ramifications of making this 3rd pick & / or most of this draft really count, can we afford a miss at # 3 ? I can see that our owner is not young enough to live through many more mistakes, nor will a winning team get moved as easily. So can the Bills in all the history before be determining the future course of their Buffalo bound existence on this pick? I fear a scenario of no guts no glory scenario here but to go for it all and knowing Chan's previous offensive tendencies, he's leaning towards finding a offensive hero. I can't see him preferring a defense solution to our problems, can anyone here?

  6. teams have been notified that they trade future picks AT THEIR OWN RISK......nothing is certain as to whether a draft will continue or be declared illegal through the courts. teams have also been notified that once this years picks have been made, they may not trade that drafted player. it is ok to trade this years draft picks BEFORE the selection has been made.

Buyer beware is the call here, which makes sense. So, I'll gladly pay you tuesday for a hamburger today (Wimpy) is the call here.

  7. Hey guys, been stalking for a while & thought I might join in. Quick question, does anyone know if the Bills move back to like 10th in the 2011 draft & pick up a 2012 1st rounder, that it can be guaranteed if the draft is declared illegal because of the lawsuit pending??

It would seem if the draft is declared illegal that all 2011 draft deals for picks in it's current format would be null & void / so it's a buyer beware situation in my mind. Thanks in advance & proud to be here.
