  1. go ahead, jump all over my **** and insult me personally if you want. i would rather the pollyannas be right and i be wrong. but for the love of all things holy and good, how am i supposed to think this is suddenly a good team?

go ahead, and please be convincing. i want to <ahem> "billieve."

and before you start, we've already heard that the raiders and bengals are two of the best teams in the NFL, it's just that the rest of the world hasn't figured it out yet. i'm afraid you're going to have to do better than that.

We outscored 3 of the 4 teams we played so far, that's how we're different.

  2. Philly has THREE Above average CB's which will allow them to stack the box against the run (theoretically). They are also a desperate team and in a MUST win situation, and w that talent they are always dangerous. (BUT they could be the NFL version of the red sox **sigh* red sox **sigh** lol)

This game is huge for the Bills, so to think that we can beat NE at home & not Philly seems like a stretch. I actually see a close game setting up early then we score on several plays in a row, that'll pull us away.

  3. Agree with everything except the bolded excerpt. George Edwards inability to gameplan and put players in positions to succeed has been going on way to long. He has not improved at all. There is no excuse to allow the amount of points/yards per game that our D is. Chan needs to hold him accountable. Wannstedt not being the Buffalo Bills DC is a disgusting waste of resources IMO.

I think the defense has to show more but I'm not ready for radical changes just yet. You do remember many folks calling for CHan's & / or Nix's head right ?? Let's wait and see how he improves.

  4. They lost to a team with a rookie QB in only his 4th NFL game who thoroughly embarrassed the Bills defense with his arm AND his feet.

And George Edwards, for reasons beyond mortal comprehension, will still be the defensive coordinator while Wannstedt wastes away watching.

The defense need help in the secondary, McGee where are thee ??

  5. Not really. We did not pull back or hold up. If we did a better job of blocking, running, pass routes, and passing we would have had "the foot on the pedal". Execution, or lack there of, killed us.

I will add that this was the first game of the season that we were outplayed in the seocnd half. We were lousy in the second half. Credit Cinci for better adjustments and better play. The beat us on the physical part of the game. If there was a fifth quarter we might have still lost the game.

    Intensity wasn't there when needed.

  6. Fitz was inaccurate, the officiating was suspect, our defense forgot how to play in the second half, I guess coaches can ask for reviews on spots when they run out of challenges, Stevie caught that god dmn pass, play calling was crap, andy dalton sucks, poor tackling, not balanced enough on offense. We should have won this game, no excuse to play like s**t the second half. This didnt look like the Bills of late, more like last year.

And you think we had too much to handle today, wait until next week.

They looked bored in the second half, so no more spotlights this week to distract them.

  7. They're supporting breast cancer awareness month. I guess this insidious disease has never affected any of your family or friends. Consider yourself lucky. But, hey, if wearing pink threatens YOUR "masculinity" then by all means, let's do away with this blatant display of femininity. Jesus H, you could do with some sensitivity training. Seriously.

SK was founded where in the city I live in, so I think it's great. Does that mean that the NFL players should be wearing pink gear for a month, that is another story. I'm all for a good cause & think it's great recognize it, just not that one on the field for a month.

I'm personally partial for the make a wish foundation / march of dimes myself. MAWF works with the NFL now & I think it says so much more about making sick kids dreams come true. Children don't get breast cancer normally & didn't have much of a life to cut short, like adults with Breast Cancer. I'd rather focus on Make a wish with the kids having the focus of importance, you'd be suprised how important the kids are sometimes (they're everything).

  8. I think you have something. I think it starts with our coaching, though. We were struggling in the 1st half and they didn't seem able to make any adjustments other than say "go execute better".

I think the players went back to "let's go out there and hang around and see what happens." Well, they saw what happens when you do that.

I hate to say it but maybe it's a good thing they lost, if they can learn from it

It's almost like they didn't have a unified purpose to succeed today & this has to be learned. Besides KC, we haven't got to see 60 solid minutes of football from the Bills. Unfortunately our 30 minutes of good play showed up in the first half, with no heart in the second half.

Maybe Aaron Rodgers and his cast is just better than what we have. Nah, that can't be.

Maybe he's had more years of experience than us, nah that can't be.
