  2. You've got to be joking... I hope.

  5. Not by the Bills. Chargers gonna ink him to a one-year deal. per http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6179488 So Atogwe to the Skins, Sanders to the Chargers, Shockey to the Panthers. We know we are getting another safety per Chan and Nix...guess it'll be the draft. Peterson @ 3? Convert from CB? Perhaps Black in the 3rd??
  6. I'm sorry but this is a horrible analysis for this year. I know you put a lot of work into compiling everything which I am thankful for but here is the deal: The quarterback class of this year is very weak and most of these guys would normally be very late first round picks but more likely, 2nd and 3rd round picks. There are no hot shot QBs coming out in this years draft and therefore the entire class will move up spots just because of that fact. If there were 2 stud QBs in this draft, Locker, Mallet, Newton, Gabbert, etc. would all be 2nd round picks.
  7. When the Bills were on the clock, who did you want the last few years? 2006: Tamba Hali (was torn between Hali and Ngata) 2007: Lawrence Timmons 2008: Leodis McKelvin (1/3 on Bills picks) 2009a: Michael Oher 2009b: Ziggy Hood 2010: C.J. Spiller (2/6, not good at this) Now who do you want with #3 in 2011? 2011: Bowers/Quinn/Peterson depending on avail.
  8. You don't draft an inferior QB just because the talent pool is less. The talent pool is less for a reason, and they are not worth a top 3 pick! Despite the fact that the defensive line talent pool is stronger than other positions, it just means there are more round 1 prospects but those guys at the top of that pool, are that much better than the other possible first rounders. Quinn/Bowers >>>> Watt/Jordan >>>>> Heyward/Ballard
  9. It has been stated by Chan Gailey at the Combine that the Bills will primarily run the 43 defense this year with some 34 mixed in.
  10. Don't forget that Dumervil will be coming back this year
  11. Well I've been fortunate to see Bowers play first hand 3 times Clemson vs. Maryland 2010 Clemson vs. N.C. State 2010 Clemson vs. South Carolina 2008 And I think he's the real deal
  12. I would take Carpenter in the 3rd as well. Or others if they fall. Gotta remember our third round pick is pick top 65ish He was really good at the senior bowl from what I saw
  13. Round 1: DE Da'Quan Bowers/Robert Quinn Round 2: This pick is the toughest...best QB available the Bills want? If Locker/Mallet/Ponder/Kaepernick if the Bills want to draft a QB. Round 3: OT Marcus Cannon/Jason Pinkston Round 4a: ILB Colin McCarthy Round 4b: SS Jeron Johnson Round 5: DE Markus White Round 6: CB Justin Rogers Round 7: DT Anthony Gray UDFA: K Josh Jasper (~84% accuary throughout college - will be good to be the eventual kicker in buffalo), WR Tori Gurley (not sure why he left school as a redshirt sophomore, but with his size maybe he can translate to a tight end), ILB Alex Wujciak (underrated maryland linebacker, might go as high as round 6), OLB Kenny Rowe (small frame, 1-down pass rusher translates to limited ability in the nfl - projects well to special teams, hard hitter), OG Ricky Henry (solid interior lineman), OL Adam Grant (swing tackle, possible move to interior lineman - versatile)
  14. Niagara Falls Police Blotter on 103.3 The Edge. Ha, no - but in all seriousness, Quinn is a stud.
  15. Donte isn't worth the 6-8M per year he wants. Give Sanders an incentive laden contract that involves playing time (% of defensive snaps played)
  16. Pretty sure he was suspended for improper tutor help, no?
  17. Started following college football in 2006. Out of Whitner, McCargo, Lynch, McKelvin, Maybin, Wood, and Spiller... I was this excited: Lynch Spiller Wood McKelvin McCargo Whitner Maybin Edit: p.s. @ Koufax, Poz was a 2nd round pick
  18. If Ayers is there in the 2nd and if Kaepernick is there in the 4th... also either fairley/dareus/bowers @ 3 (i want bowers) best draft possible
  19. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81e5c79f/article/bills-must-rectify-past-draft-failures-to-return-to-relevance?module=HP_cp2
  20. I just think he is valued a little more now based off the the Championship game. He isn't very big, or quick and the players value is going to be determined by how much a team values that player in a given round and if they think he can last til their next pick. There is really no way of knowing if someone values him as a 3rd rounder or a 6th rounder until draft day. Today its pure speculation
  21. It seems the Bills will see even more turnover this year. With the release of Marcus Stroud I think other releases are eminent. I think Drayton Florence may be let go, and in his place, the Bills will sign Cromartie who was drafted by the Chargers with Nix on that draft team. Also an old teammate of Merriman, maybe there is some influence between he and Nix. The Bills seem to want to bolster the size, strength and personnel in that front 7. The Bills also seem to be keen on getting after a quarterback, soon! Cam Newton is appearing to be leapfrogging his way to the top of draft boards and Buffalo has been pegged as a perfect landing choice for him. Why not? He has all the tools, top honors and is a play-maker. The guy is an athletic monster, and with the guidance of Cortez and especially Gailey, there is no reason why Cam Newton shouldn't be an elite quarterback in this league. This takes me to the draft. With all that being said, Buffalo selects Cam Newton with the #3 overall selection. From there, the Bills spend rounds 2 and 3 similar to last year drafting a DE and a DT or NT. In the second round, depending on whose available the Bills should select either Watt, Paea, Taylor, Kerrigan, Sheard, or Heywardn roughly in that order. In the third round, depending on what position was taken the Bills could look to go after Allen Bailey, Marvin Austin, Jarvis Jenkins, Jerrell Powe, or Kenrick Ellis. Round four will also be an important round as the Bills have 2 4th round selections. Maybe the Bills could package these two picks and get back into the 3rd round to grab D.J. Williams or Kendricks. If they don't want to move up into the third to grab a tight end, they may choose to use the picks on alternative positions and go after a tight end in free agency (not sure who is being retained but some good players such as Owen Daniels, Kevin Boss, Bo Scaife, Zack Miller and Marcedes Lewis who I think the Bills need to break bank for. If the Bills can land Lewis, that would be a huge boost to the offense. Getting back to round 4, the Bills could look at cornerbacks and linebackers going with Jalil Brown/Burney/Lindsey at CB position and McCarthy/Sheppard/Mason Foster or K.J. Wright at LB. Later rounds depending on who is selected, we could see more secondary depth, possibly another wideout and possibly test an o-lineman, or always another huge NT. 5th - ideally BPA but possible: SS Keo/Clifford, WR Moore/Gates/Salas, NT Anthony Gray, LB: Casey Matthews/Chris Carter 6th - BPA 7th - BPA
  22. CB Corner Florence McGee McKelvin Youboty T. Williams DE Carrington Sp. Johnson McCargo Stroud D. Edwards DT Heard Robinson NT Troup K. Williams LB Ayodele Kelsay Maybin Moats Posluszny Kirlew Batten Coleman Davis Ellison Merriman Russell Torbor S Byrd Corto Scott Whitner Wilson B. Johnson
  23. Good pun. Does everyone understand yet? Not the New Jersey Bills or anything like that... Bills are getting a "new jersey/uniform" and pictured is not the jersey, but the state "New Jersey."
  24. I think Bowers could also easily play 3-4 DE and be on top at that position on this draft board.
