I would rather flip edge and safety. Go edge at 60 and safety at 163. I do not see much difference in the safety prospects as a whole to draft one at 60. Im not depending on Von to bounce back at his age. I think you need to add guy ready for snaps immediately. Edwards and Rapp is an ok pairing. Im not sure there is a safety in the class better than either. Not looking for elite traits for the position the need to invest a day 2 pick seems unnecessary.
Horrible year for edge players I would stay far away at #60

I know this guy isn't a true sleeper, but I think his value is being slept on too much, and that is Ja'lynn Polk, WR, Huskies. He has superior ball skills and strong hands, and 100% fits that theme Beane and McD want of making the catch. What he lacks in 40 time he more than makes up for with route precision, physicality, and ball skills. With a draft this deep, its not a surprise some of these guys are getting almost lost in the shuffle in the draft buzz. But if the Bills exited this draft with just Polk as the addition at WR, I would still be excited.
Don't get me wrong, not at all saying he should be our target or who we should take at 28. I am saying, hypothetically Bills go another position at 28 and then wait to pick 60 to draft a WR, if Polk was the guy I would still be very stoked about him. I know the big knock is the 4.54 forty time...but that is faster than Keenan Allen, Larry Fitzgerald, Cooper Kupp, etc who all had over 4.6 to over 4.7 forty times. What people fail to realize about 40 times too often is that straight line speed in shorts and does not automatically translate to on field speed of play.
A guy slower in the 40 may play faster or be better at getting separation at the next level than someone who put up a faster time. It is not the end all be all measurement its made out to be.
So for me, Polk is not getting enough buzz, but I really think he is going to be a very good player in the NFL. And in Buffalo, where bad weather often helps even the playing field speed wise in those late season and playoff games, having a guy with exceptional ball skills, who runs precise routes and is physical can be a major weapon.
Polk gives me Robert Wood vibes

Chicago Bears get: Josh Allen
Buffalo Bills get: #1, #9, 2025 1st and 2nd
If not, what would it take? Everybody’s got a price!
The only reason why I would contemplate this is because I really don't think Josh will be elite into his 30s. I really hope I'm wrong but I see him falling off a cliff like Cam Newton in his early 30s.
This type of deal gets us a legit franchise QB at cost control price and more draft picks as well. I would ask the Bears for 1 more high pick and they have a deal.

Now that Diggs is in Houston, WR is an especially big hole on this team. I'm personally in favor of utilizing the draft to shore this position up. Trading up for an elite guy (the most unrealistic option) such as Nabers, would be my ideal option, but even moving up a few picks into the early 20's for a Brian Thomas Jr. or AD Mitchell would work.
However - would anyone be interested in the Bills trading for an established player and allowing the draft to fall to them? If so, what WR's do you think would be possible, productive, and available?
My vote would be Davante Adams. Per Spotrac he has a cap hit of just under 17 mil and an out in his contract after this season (voidable years I believe) that would help with the comp pick formula. Adams doesn't want to go through a rebuild with the Raiders (I'm in Vegas and this is a known "rumor") and wants to finally win. championship. Thoughts on this or any other WRs?
I love Devante but he's getting close to the age where a decline is coming. I say we build our own Wr core threw obviously what we already have on the roster and the draft . If I'm Beane I'm double dipping with our first and a move up from the late 4th to early 4th . I would love a Leggette and Malik Washington combo from the draft that would be a absolute homerun! Not only do u get fresh young legs to develop but also cost control as well.

As I've tried to digest the hole left by Diggs' departure, I don't for a minute think that Beane is going to sit back and just do the best he can when his pick rolls around late in the first round. That just isn't his style.
We've often seen Beane move around in the first round, and I think we will see it again. He's done little moves, of course, up a pick or two or three, but we've seen at least two big moves: Cordy Glenn and picks to move up to Cinci's pick (followed by the trade with Denver to go up and get Josh), and the Bills' first round pick to get Diggs. Two big draft-related moves to fill a hole.
It caused me to wonder what kind of things Beane could be considering now. Others of you will have much better ideas than I, and I don't really know how to gauge value, cap, and all the other things that need to be considered, but two thoughts came to mind.
Maybe the Vikings want to make a bold move to get up to the top of the draft. Maybe they have a vision for the future of a rebuilt roster. Maybe they don't want to write a big check for a receiver. Would they trade Justin Jefferson for the Bills' #1 and some other consideration? They did it with Diggs, why not again? Is Aiyuk still on his first contract? Who else has a proven receiver with a contract the Bills can afford for a year?
Or, more along the Cordy Glenn line, who's the quality starter the Bills might package with their first round pick to move up to the top 10? Does Kromer like Van Demark so much that he'd be willing to part with Dion Dawkins. Dion and the Bills #1 for the Giants' #1? What other players are good enough to bring interest but not so good that they're untouchable?
Whatever, we can be sure that Beane is doing some creative thinking.
I really don't think there's a player we have to give up in a deal for Jefferson most likely would have to be multiple firsts and that 2nd Rd pick to get Jefferson.

The Bills have won the 2nd most games in the league since 2020.
They've won four straight division titles.
The only possible reason to say he "deserves" criticism is because they haven't won a title. But if that's the case, then 31 GMs every single year deserve criticism.
Looking at moves in a vacuum for any GM across the league, you're going to see some moves that worked and some that didn't. No GM is immune to mistakes. But looking at the total output and production of a team gives you a sense of what kind of job the team's architect has done. The fact remains that only the Chiefs have won more games than the Bills since 2020, that they've won their division four years in a row, and that they are contenders year in and year out.
You want perfection? Go watch a Kurosawa film or listen to a Betthoven sonata.
Beane is a very good GM.
P.S. Brandon Beane DOES receive criticism, and if you don't see it, then you're not looking in the right places. Go turn on ESPN, Fox Sports 1, or listen to any drive time football radio show, and you'll hear scores of criticism of Beane and his Bills. Heck, the buzziest phrase in football the past two season has been "the Bills window is closed".
If you're angry at Brandon Beane and want to criticize him, then just say that. Don't manufacture an immunity to criticism that he does not actually possess. He's not very good at all. If anything he's average to slightly below average GM. 😂

Wouldn't mind seeing Luke McCaffrey in mid-rounds. I think he can / will play right away, develop a little bit and then will be a very good, if not a stud.
I just don't see it in him. I don't see a player that can separate with consistency.

Heading into the draft, I feel pretty good about the Bills. The only thing lacking is a pash rush from the front 4. I am concerned Groot has had a couple seasons now and needs to step up and be a 10+ sack guy. I don't like depending so much on Von. Other than that I feel all the other positions are solid.
Depending on who is there at 28, I am tempted to move down, possibly with Carolina who may want to move back into the 1st. Possibly Washington as well to get a 3rd round pick. Maybe use a 4th and 5th( or 6th) to move up in the 2nd.
WR is still #1 on my list followed by DL. Safety in the 4th, along with just BPA from there on out.
How are you guys feeling about a month out from the draft?
I'm always gonna feel at least pretty good about the Bills as long as Josh is playing at a high level. If you asking me otherwise I'm not a big fan of the off-season just seems like more of the same type of moves this team usually makes. Kicking the can down the road cap wise for middling talent is not a good recipe for success for now or the future of this team.

I would not be surprised that Bills will package the 5 and 6 round picks to somehow get back into the 3rd round from some team. It could possibly even be SF or Philly with all the comp picks they received.
At the very least gonna take a 4,5 & 6 to get BK in the 3rd

With the near miss on Arik Armstead and Sebastian Joseph Day visiting,
Who else could we look at?
Didn't we have Calais Campbell in for a visit or scheduled visit prior to him signing with ATL?
Somehow at 37 Calais managed to have 6.5 sacks and played 17 games last year.
His leadership and rotational depth could be a valuable piece IMO. I believe Greg Rousseau also trained with him previouslyA'Shawn Robinson is another name that comes to mind if still available (edit he already signed)
I would like Tair Tart he's a beast just has some character concerns but he's young and would probably learn behind DaQuan for 1 yr

28 Xavier Worthy WR | Texas
60 Michael Hall Jr. DL | Ohio State
128 DeWayne Carter DL | Duke
133 Malik Washington WR | Virginia
Love this but would take Michael Hall out and put someone else in there.
Malik Washington is my Amon Ra Brown of this draft . He's gonna be a stud

If any of them are on the board in Round 4James Williams moving to Lber? That kid packs a serious punch when he hits someone. I would keep him at safety but he definitely needs to polish his game . Anquan Boldin, George Pickens dropped in the draft because of the "can't separate" crap. Coleman makes plays!! He "Moss" DBs. He returns punts. Played at Mich. St, cold climate. Think Drake London who went top 10 in the draft last year. Or Courtland Sutton. I'm good with Keon.
So what has Drake London done? We need Wrs that make Josh better not the other way around

I would agree that the Bills will pick BPA according to their board. However, I can’t imagine they have a S at #28. I think it is more like to be in this order of importance DT, Edge, WR. I would be shocked if the pick is not one of these three positions. Maybe they go S in round #2 only because they do not have a rd #3 pick. Keep in mind the safety “market” looks to be significantly devaluing across the league.
We made a huge mistake not adding Safeties during free agency. Some really good players for cheap.

What happens if the guy in the draft isn’t ready to play or turns out like a guy like Jalen Raeger? You know, a bust. Samuel is a good reliable receiver that can help in many ways. Do you care more about who makes the plays or if they are getting made? After Diggs downfall late last season Samuel may take some of his snaps. Who cares if Brady gets the O running on all cylinders
If they draft a bust that falls on them and they should be fired for it. McBeane are Wildcard Champs! That's what kind of team they continue to build get ready for it once again next season .

Mitch Morse, Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, Jon Brown, DaQuan Jones made more of a difference than anyone Whaley brought on.
If Brandon Beane were to be fired, he would get picked up immediately.
Doug Whaley was out of the NFL after being fired by the Bills.
2017 Off-season was huge Tre, Dawkins, Milano , Poyer and Hyde . U got some work to do bud
DaQuan is overrated never helped when it matters where's he been the last 2 playoff yrs? Against Cinny injured and playing injured vs KC so what did he do exactly? Diggs and I said this at the time horrible move in a loaded Wr class that pk turned out to be the best Wr in NFL . The guys u mentioned are good players but there not on the level of Tre, Milano, Dawkins and the best safety duo we probably ever had.

There’s only one difference maker that really matters most, Josh Allen. You get the QB right, you basically write your own ticket as GM. Whaley? How many dud QB’s did he cycle through as an answer? Josh is the #1 reason we’ve risen to top tier of teams.
Well from the reports it was Whaley who wanted Mahomes and Pegs but Mcd didn't and he was the one traded him so there goes that.

Hey we haven't won the Super Bowl yet....everybody sucks that Beane brought on!
Beane didn't bring in Poyer and Hyde that was Whaley. The 2017 off-season which pretty much for us most of our difference makers these last 7 yrs were from Whaley's front office.

It is okay if Samuel plays a Beasley type role for the Bills. I know many want to turn him into this #2 threat that is an upgrade over Davis and game changer. But that is not likely what this move is. Unless he breaks out after 7 years in the league and completely changes his game. Hey, that could happen I guess.
I doubt that big-time! He's here to take snaps away from Shakir or maybe we don't take a Wr high in the draft either way to me that's bad news.

10.7 yds a catch for his career I rather have Shakir on the field then Samuel . He's not explosive neither is he elite in any way shape or form. We needed a true X Wr but settled for another slot guy.
Shakir averages 15.6 yds a catch and Samuel 9.9 I don't care what u say about the QBs . 80% of Wrs in the NFL can say the same thing.
Here's a stat that will blow your mind Shakir had the same yds this season as Samuel on 45 less targets. Wow .
