  1. As well as they have played at Alabama, how well have Alabama QBs fared in the NFL lately? They're not turning out to be a bunch of Joe Namaths.
  2. But is that realistic? The only way I'll feel that way is if we beat the Patriots in our season finale.
  3. Nice draft, but I have to agree with 808, unless you plan to put Roberson or McKelvin in the slot.
  4. This would an interesting draft, to say the least, but I think the coaching staff is committed to EJ, and we won't draft a QB at tall this year.
  5. He was doing well in Trestman's offense. Will that carry over to Hackett's?
  6. Don't you think that a part of the problem is Hackett doing double duty as OC and QB coach?
  7. How much of the problem is with the coaches, and how much is having the wrong players?
  8. I thought he was due a $1.75M bonus this year.
  9. 24 pages later, I don't think this thread's title is valid anymore.
  10. My prediction was 4-12. New coaches, new system, new players, and a young QB with young receivers.
  11. I say no, but not because he's not worth that kind of pick. I just think we have too many needs elsewhere.
  12. Yes we do. We also have EJ, Thad, Tuel, and Dixon on the PS. That's enough bodies for camp. Let's concentrate on filling the holes elsewhere.
  13. Let me educate you about me. If I had meant to attribute this non-playoff year strictly to the staff or the QB, I would have said so. Since I did not even mention them in my post, am not laying this at their feet. What I mean is that 14 years of no playoffs tends to not make me too excited about anything Bills-related right now, at least until draft day. Thank you for the life lesson, but seeing as how I'm 47, retired military, and married to the absolute best wife I could ever ask for, with the most awesome son I could ever wish for, I'm doing just fine, thank you.
  14. Yet keeping a veteran who fails to play up to his contract is?
  15. If I remember correctly, Urbik was a third round pick of the Steelers. At any rate, I'm not ready to names names, so here I go, in no particular order yet: LT- so we can move Glenn to RT, if Hairston can't return. G- serious upgrades needed on both sides TE- Chandler hasn't shown me enough to warrant another contract WR- 6-4 or 6-5 would be nice, and the only two we have are on the practice squad RB- need some depth and Fred has one year (?) left on his contract OLB- Moats and Bradham aren't receiving a lot of snaps for a reason DL- Branch is a FA, and who knows if Carrington can return from his injury? We have more needs than this, so I hope we can work some draft-day trades.
  16. Not a big fan of this CMD. I know there is a popular sentiment about drafting another QB, but we have QBs on the roster and many needs elsewhere. I think I read somewhere that Doug Whaley isn't planning on doing a whole lot in free agency, so We have to use our draft picks wisely.
  17. How much longer will he be the team's best receiver? He's not going to develop much more and Woods will overtake him.
  18. Mrs jjmac hails from Turkey, where, they play that other "football." I showed here the Philadelphia game, and she thought they were all crazy for playing in such weather.
