  1. There were 2 runs by AP where he was in the grasp of the db who filled in properly, just didn't finish the tackle. The 1st was behind the l.o.s. The db had him in his grasp for a loss. Didn't make the tackle, AP ran through the tackle. He ran past Star, but Star was still engaged with his blocker, but did his job. The 2nd, again the db had him in his grasp, for a loss. AP threw him to the turf like a rag doll and got a nice gain. Again, the dline did it's job. AP is still a beast who ran for over 1k last year.
  2. I'm hoping he gets better at gap assignment. He can be a good one. Still a work in progress. Maybe he's still "thinking about it" too much and not to the point where it's a reaction. I like Oliver. If we had bigger leads, he could come in and do what I think we got him for. Create pressure in passing situations. He's shown he can chase down rbs too. For now, I'm good with the Phillips-Star combo and a rotation of Taylor and Ed.
  3. If pro-football-reference.com is correct, here are the numbers: Vincent Taylor - Only 9 snaps or 18% Ed Oliver only 18 snaps or 35% Phillips 33 or 65% Star 29 snaps or 57% Star was a part of the 2nd half adjustments. To me, it doesn't look so bad for Star. Guys, there has to be a rotation of players. It helps them stay fresh. As for Ed, I think he will be effective as penetrating during passing situations, not as effective as a run stopper. Our LBs and safeties need to do their jobs too.
  4. Agreed. And Lockett out there to draw attention away from him.
  5. So now it's in your head. Embrace the possibilities. It's been quite a while since we could even imaging this scenario.
  6. I guess someone does need to explain it to you. Look it up. Good night.
  7. If that's as calm as can be, you do need to see a doctor. Just not a physician. And yes, you can say that.
  8. Your 1st sentence tells me what I'm dealing with. Do you even realize what we're discussing is subjective?! Hopefully no one has to explain what that means to you. Either your 12 yrs old or your panties are bunched too tight.
  9. And is a little too sensitive and doesn't realize we're giving our opinion. You think you're right, but I don't recall me getting to where I call your post dumb. Settle down some. Like I said I can agree to disagree with someone. And it wasn't even with you, was it?
  10. You see, just cuz you think it's dumb doesnt make it so. I 1st pointed out each of the great defenses had a bad game. A couple of people got their tightie whities all bunched up. And by the way, who are you to call my statement dumb?! Yes I watched those teams. We're 1/2 way through the season. If they play the 2nd 1/2 like the 1st half, I believe they're in the discussion.
  11. Right now, they are. Still 1/2 a season to go though. We can agree to disagree.
  12. Miami scored 38 on those Bears and Jax scored 36 on those Ravens. Everyone has a bad game.
  13. Oh, I said Josh is a really good athlete, this isn't close.
  14. Whoever said Josh could do what Lamar can do... Nah.
  15. Those linemen weren't set for ne. Should have been a flag.
  16. The AFC east is still within reach. Especially if ne loses tonight. Gotta be rooting for Baltimore.
  17. Josh is a hell of an athlete but it's not even close. Quicker cuts and faster.
