  1. In the West Coast offense the TE's role is generally that of a possession receiver and blocker. The ability to catch the ball in traffic is a huge plus.
  2. Chandler had ACL surgery done late DEC or early JAN, surgery's like that tend to take 7-9 months to recover from completely. With the injury and the 3 mil, do the Bills cut him?
  3. I also think Chris Gragg out of Arkansas could be a solid late round pick, he had lots of injury's this past season but he's a quick TE. No doubt he dropped too many easy ones, but especially the second half of the season, I remember sooo many passes being thrown at the ground or just wildly off target, and when a guy is 6-7 and the QB misses that badly, that makes me think a guy can improve.
  4. @Maddog69, I agree, the question is who? Is there a FA that really seems to fit? or draft? Assuming the Bills are not planning on taking a TE in the early rounds I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Mychal Rivera out of Tenn, 6-3, 240lbs, this guy is quick and athletic and has solid receiving ability's.
  5. While Walker has that explosiveness that Chandler lacks, he also lead the 49ers in drops last year with 11. However he is great as a run blocker and can certainly be flexed out to the slot, but with paying Chandler 3 mil this season, I can't see Walker coming here.
  6. TE is a position that is over the past ten years has exploded in terms of importance. So when it comes to S.Chandler and the Bills, the view seems to be mixed. He is a big target at 6-7 260, his numbers have improved each year over the past few seasons. However many seem to still not be 'sold' oh Chandler, much of this doubt seems warranted, but how much of the blame is to be placed on the sub par QB play? I think Chandler with a better QB could be in the top tier of TE's in the league. What do you think? Check out this link, it may help you come to your own decision. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/te In terms of caught balls this past season, Syracuse had slightly less than %15 caught by tight ends, the Bills last season were not too far from that same number. I think however that is not a reflection of Chandlers effectiveness, but more a reflection of Fitz inaccuracy. Regardless it will be interesting to see how the new OC uses Chandler, or if the FO brings someone in to compete with him.
  7. If its FA or draft pick, the Bills need more balance, they need a big WR and a WR who can stretch the field. Speed and size in one player would bring some majorly needed balance to the Bills WR core.
  8. 92rec 1300yard and 12td, thats dez stat line from this past season....he's a headache but man the production is amazing....all im saying is that maybe its time for the FO to start to look into how some of these 'character issue' guys can be handled. Is it worth it or not, take Michael Irving, Randy Moss, TO, to some extent Michael Crabtree, these guys all had big problems, but there teams always seemed to be in the playoffs and superbowl.
  9. Your right my bad.....you hit the same point though, guy was a beast against some solid players. But he hasn't had trouble since being released, this dude reminds me of the dez bryant story a few years ago, character questions make some teams shy away, but man Dez is lighting it up, would love to see Nix make this pick regardless.
  10. curious to see how guys like Justin Hunter, 6-4, 200, do in the combine, all anyone seems to want to talk about is he knee, but the guy is a gamer, if he falls to 3rd round I could see the Bills grabbing him, unless the knee is a big issue still....Another big reciever with some questions is Da'Rick Rogers, 6-4, 208, dude had been out of football for a year for failing drug test, so it certainly makes you wonder if Nix won't do it due to 'character issues'
  11. R.Swope is one of those guys that I really want to see what he does at the combine, he preformed very well against top teams, and depending on the combine we might see his stock go up.
  12. I'm with you on Marcus Davis, could be a freak. However I'm not sold on D.Robinson, he lacks the size, and experience at WR, no doubt the guy can make plays, but the Bills need size bad and he just doesn't fit, if he goes undrafted lets bring him in, but overall to much risk.
  13. I am intrested to see if they try to bring in Alec Lemon, from 'Cuse, he would know the system, not be a high pick, or they may be able to get him in FA, he improved ever year while in school, 6-1, 200.
  14. With the Bills having such dier needs at QB, and LB, it looks as if those spots may fill the first two rounds, but the late picks can always produce a diamond in the ruff. With major need at WR, the likleyhood of the Bills taking a WR in the later rounds is high. So what reciever do you like in the late rounds? This list may help: http://walterfootball.com/draft2013WR.php
  15. Wilson, or Glennon, in the 2nd, take a stud LB in 1st.
  16. No way Smith falls to 8. I think Alec would be a solid add. Oh yeah and theres this: In September 2010, Ogletree was arrested and charged with misdemeanor theft stemming from a June incident of a stolen scooter helmet. Ogletree was suspended by Georgia for the first game of the season
  17. Bills RUN D was such a disaster that I think bringing in a guy who is not more balanced is not wise.
  18. His sacks have been nice, but I wonder if there are stats out there that tell his sucess rate when running plays are ran at him, and if those stats have improved over from season to season.
  19. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ms-silver_rogue_scout_enjoys_label_042511 Interesting article, epically about Locker. Could he be a 2nd round pick for the Bills?
  20. MONEY MONEY MONEY, and hey thats okay, they need to compete, spot the hating
  21. Maybin...if he were whit, black, or anything else, he still sucks...this is the one league in which play seems to REALLY detrime pay....GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=6168598 The jets are cutting some players of interest, Bills interested?
