  1. Look I understand stacking the line is traditionally used against the run however maybe I should have been more specific, Hairston's back peddling technique to give Fitz a pocket to work from is bad. I don't know what you saw, but against Miami he was being manhandled and caused the pocket to collapse very quickly. Why do you think Fitz was on his ass or running it off almost the entire game. He may have had a couple of plays that made him look successful at times but overall he, just like my previous post mentioned, looked a lot like Cordaro Howard who was cut for what I see as the same issues that Hairston is having. I do think that Howard would have been more successful at right guard, which seemed like a more natural position for him given his size, but we will never know. Bell when healthy proved to be the better left tackle however I do billieve that players can improve especially when it comes to technique because Hairston certainly has the physical tools. As far as me understanding football I have watched religiously since 1984 and have a good friend of mine that plays middle linebacker for the Rams, and I have talked to James about trench technique. I guess since it's easy to mouth off sitting behind a computer there will always be someone to do it, so whatever floats your boat. GO BILLS!!!
  2. Chris Hairston is awful at left tackle, his mechanics are no different than Cordaro Howard who we cut at the beginning of the season. I've watched the Bills play with the exact same dysfunction for over 10 years now. ALL the elite teams in the NFL have offensive lines that stack the defense at the line of scrimmage giving their quarterback time to examine the field and make the best possible decision in terms of how to get rid of the ball. This also allows for a stronger running game to develop. You cannot back peddle giving the defender the running momentum to either run you over or get around you. Our original lineup this year was much stronger and for the first time in years I saw a team that was physical and could stack the line. Bell is best suited at LT, and with Urbik, Pears, Levitre, and Wood at center that was the combination that gave Fitz the time to react and make sound decisions. That lineup could handle a blitz and that's why Fitz was the least sacked quarterback in the league. The bottom line is we had horrible personnel that this new administration had inherited so it takes time to assess, dismantle, and make adjustments in a very short period of time. I believe that's why they drafted Spiller, they really didn't know there personnel and for everyone calling CJ a bust, it is paramount in this league that players get a real opportunity to learn and ultimately showcase there talents through ample playing time. I was under the impression that Chan was the type of coach that was able to utilize his talent by spreading his offense to maximize the talent he had. Unfortunately when he starting losing his key personnel which was supposed to be what the team was going to be building off of, he couldn't make the necessary adjustments needed to give Fitz the time he needed to make good decisions, however our lack of experienced depth has magnified the problem. Losing the key additions this team made in the during the season has set them back. Ryan will be an amazing quarterback when he has a sound, attack minded O-line that can stack the line. Imo offenses should act as if they are the defense and be in attack mode. This should eliminate the blitz especially if Chan uses his tight ends, fullback and running back to shore up when the d brings the safeties. It's tough to watch year in and year out when it's 3rd and 12 and we throw a pass to the line of scrimmage. Once again if we have a stout O-line we can change the defensive scheming in relationship to the opposing linebackers/secondary when we run. So long story short, get everyone healthy for next year add depth through the draft and now that Buddy and co. have a clearer understanding of there strengths and weaknesses we should finally be headed in the right direction and be able to perform consistently. Personally I would like to give the kid from Dallas (Young) that we picked up off there practice squad some looks. Spread the ball for crying out loud... play action, draws, run CJ to the outside to keep the defense honest and he will get better and this should also improve Freddy's performance . CHANDLER, CHANDLER, CHANDLER, come on already use him like Brady uses his Tight ends. I like Kumar Aiken, I like Roosevelt, and once Nelson hits his stride he's a gamer too. Defense needs Kyle back and healthy, I hope Merriman's surgery solves his problem, athletes do come back from this sort of injury and do well, but if he doesn't we need a serious pass rusher. Get rid of mcgee and Mckelvin and find corners that are ball hawks not guys that pride themselves on keeping up with receivers, what good is it that you keep up with the wideouts but you let them catch the ball, once again mechanics, who's teaching these guys anyways...Jeez. Get a pass rush learn how to blitz bringing all the boys and not just some half ass attempt at trying to disrupt the quarterback. Btw how many people are tired of watching these guys miss tackle. Bottom line we need more depth and we need to stop being so damned predictable. I think during the Cincy game we needed a 1st down on three separate occasions and he ran Freddy up the middle all three times. FAIL, Chan seems to be stubborn and all of a sudden I'm seeing a man who isn't sensing the rhythm of the game. I love my BILLS but let's adjust. One last note I heard Barnett say the difference when they were winning as opposed to now was a lack of passion. R u kidding me, heads hanging low??? you are multi millionaires playing in front of 70,000+ people week in and week out, living your dream. We are blue collar people and have more passion than you. I wish I was on the sideline for there games I would stoke a fire that would light up their asses. If I was on the sidelines they would never be sulking by themselves. During the Dallas game Fitz looked isolated as he was watching the jumbo tron. It's funny when were winning we are on the side lines as a family but when were down it appears that we sullen. Another side note, ever notice when coaches are trying to instruct there players on the sidelines and they don't even give them the respect of looking them in the eye, if I'm on that field first time one of my players disrespects me like that it will be the last time. I'm the best at what I do in my profession and with the money that we pay them so should they. They owe us success. It's time to rise to the occasion and destroy. GO BILLS!!!

  4. Chan's play calling is very suspect at this stage in the game. If we need 15 yards were throwing to the line of scrimmage??? looks very similar to Jauron's offense, and Chan's inability to recognize his failures and keep trying to fit a square peg into a round hole is very frustrating. I'm starting to wonder about his abilities, but I'm not giving up on him cuz we still have personnel issues that need to be addressed time will tell.
  5. Our corners are AWFUL, you cannot and will not breakup the big play if you do not go for the ball. They are with the wideouts on long plays but they don't eye the ball. So essentially they let the receiver catch the ball and then make the tackle. HORRIBLE mechanics.
  6. Fitz was getting almost zero help today, his line was breaking down, his receivers were dropping passes at crucial times, and our defense crushed all hope. I was in love with Chan's ability to maximize his talent and spread the ball around but he has become flat as an offensive play caller picking plays that do not coincide with the risk reward ratio. Our injuries are piling up and the lack of talent on our depth chart is beginning to show. This team needs to work really hard at reestablishing there strengths and get back to being creative. It does not look good right now but we as Bills fans are more than used to adversity. Let's see how we respond next week.
  7. That's a tough argument it's kinda like what came first the chicken or the egg
  8. Personally I am surprised at all the national attention we are getting. Usually good teams that come out of nowhere are disregarded as flukes until they put something significant together however the national media is taking this team seriously. I Billieve it's do to the fact that we are pretty solid in all phases of the ball, sure we've been suspect at times on defense but overall how can you not like what your seeing. This team FINALLY has a core group of players that we can build a team around. With this front office being very capable of determining talent it is going to be awesome to see what this team does in the next several years. I'm excited and I think the national media is too. GO BILLS!!!
  9. BTW how bad ass was George Wilson's comments after the game as he was interviewed by reporters. You talk about attitude, this team is really starting to possess what every championship caliber team has... an attitude that nobody is going to talk down or push this team around. It was awesome to see reporters kind of approaching there questions from a standpoint of concern or weakness and George just shut it down. This team acts like a family and we are on are way to becoming winners, from the top down. Ladies and Gentlemen we have our Buffalo Bills back and maybe this time we go all the way...GO BILLS!!!
  10. I saw something brewing last year and KNEW this year was going to be special, I'm proud to say I was right and I'm proud of the BILLS who sit atop the AFC east... GO BILLS!!!
  11. If I hear one more person compare this team to the team we had in 2008 I'm going to puke. This team is completely different in ALL phases, most importantly coaching, talent, and facing teams that are actually going to finish stronger than 8-8. This IS a new era, BILLIEVE IT!!!
  12. AGREED... everyone needs to get over Lee being traded, he was a fine player for a little while but we have moved on. What, with Lee we would have scored 48 points last week? jeez, give it up already. This is a new team with a new look and a new direction, it's about time, GO BILLS!!!
  13. Nobody likes to look foolish and most in the media can't stand to be wrong so they put a good spin on whatever has them on the hot seat.
  14. BOOM... ENCOURAGEMENT- couldn't agree more, I loved the killer instinct
  15. You can surmise the Bills coming along if you payed close attention. That's where the Buffalo media fails, there are many variables that determine a teams success and if you paid attention to last year and what we did in terms off upgrading our personnel this year you could see that this team just needed a few changes to make this team viable. For example everybody complained about our O line when really Fitz in comparison to Edwards and Losman wasn't running for his life last year, the O line actually began to hold up for him. He also showed that he had pocket presence and he put up points in a 1st year system while not even starting the season until week 3. Give him a better defense last year and the 7 out of 12 games we lost by 10 or less points goes the other way. Team chemistry and attitude play into the variables in which I'm talking about as well. For the 1st time in a LONG time this team actually began to show an identity. Our media simply gave up on this team right before the miracle. I guess middle of the road reporting doesn't sell so instead of adopting the wait and see approach as they should have before the season started they bashed this team and it's ownership and ultimately it's making them look foolish and complacent. But I will say this it's giving everybody a lot to talk about, gotta love controversy, GO BILLS!!! AGREED
  16. I saw the same thing, he was double covered consistently and that's a big part of his job. If everybody is good up front it becomes impossible for O lines to double cover everyone so I'd say we are on are way. GO BILLS!!!
  17. Destroy? That's a strong prediction for a team that just exploded out of the gate. Our match up with the Pats will be the measuring stick for us, for sure, so we'll see. It is going to be interesting to watch the Pats/Dolphins game tonight, I want to see this hype machine in action.
  18. Nothing wrong with that as long as it was a good football move and I'm pretty sure the coaching staff and front office agreed that it was, besides the way they spread the offense without Easley and also using Parrish in a limited role I'd say Evans doesn't look like he is going to be missed. IMHO.
  19. COMPLETELY different team, but proof is definitely in the pudding and so far I like what I'm tasting
  20. I think your right on the money with that score or at least very close. I can't freakin' wait for Sunday. GO BILLS!!!
  21. Very well said, however I will say this, something happened last year when I watched this team, despite their losing record I noticed that this team started to create an identity. For the 1st time in a very long time I felt this organization FINALLY was building a solid foundation for the future and my feelings I'm sure will be backed up by what I feel were solid personnel moves to really shore up what there biggest problem was last year, their D. I like the additions of Merriman, Barnett, and Morrison and with the kind of guys we have with our front 3 in Williams, Dareus and Edwards there seems to be a nice blend of veteran leadership and hungry new blood. Of course we'll see if it translates on the field but after looking at these guys in camp and in preseason it appears we FINALLY have an exceptional defense with descent depth. Baby steps, GO BILLS!!!
  22. You took the words right out of my mouth, they consistently B word about about this team and Ralph Wilson's commitment to putting together a winning product yet they spent most of the time praising our new defensive personnel based on what they saw at training camp and in preseason. Really the ONLY thing they complained about was the release of Evans, the O Line and Hangartner. Sure the O Line is suspect but why are people so hung up on the OL, that wasn't are main problem last year the defense was and NIX/GAILEY addressed the D in a BIG way this off season. Sure if we get injured our lack of depth is going to hurt us but you have to start rebuilding by replacing and revamping your 1st teamers before you can add depth, which is what has been done. How much did they expect was going to get done with one off season? This team has been built so poorly over the last 10 years (through severe mismanagement and bad ideas)that it is going to take time to rebuild. How can these guys deny that this unit is better than last years unit. Everyone of the WGR guys make me sick with there lack of insight and their contradictions. You can't say out of the one side of your mouth that this team shows no commitment to win and then out of the other side of your mouth praise the changes that have been made that are positive. At least acknowledge that there has been an effort on this team's part to get better and if all you can complain about is Evans and Hangartner you better rethink how much knowledge you have when it comes to critiquing this game. NIX/GAILEY are smarter football people than most think and they absolutely know what they are doing. This team now has a nice blend of veteran leadership and hungry new blood, this team is going to shock a lot of people this year and I for one can't wait to hear the WGR guys back peddle and squirm. GO BILLS!!!
  23. "I don't want to be a little bit better. I want to be tons better. I'm talkin' about 30 spots better. I'm talking about a lot better. That's what I expect. That's what I want." - Bills DL Kyle Williams on this year's run defense. What??? that's way to bold for Bills fans, he can't say that. That's almost as crazy as saying that you would like to go undefeated for the year. Why would any athlete want to be better or even perfect. Uh actually, wait a minute... that's how real competitor's are supposed to feel. My bad... Schopp, Bulldog and Jerry Sullivan are miserable goofs who have a God complex. Just because they have a platform to speak and can dump any caller who disagrees with them doesn't mean they no **** about football. Don't give up before the miracle is about to happen.... GO BILLS!!!
