I'm curious to see what this does for our cap situation. If we take on a massive dead cap hit then I'm not a fan.
Our WR room is utterly horrendous right now.

Only mental midgets care what talking heads in the media have to say. It's all trash tv.

Good player joining an already great defense. Lame

Unless Von becomes an elite player again I fear our pass rush is going to be severely lacking

About an 80% catch target ratio
Not shabby for a rookie
Shakir also was about 80%
Gabe never hit 60% in his careerGabe's ADOT was 15 yards. Shakir's was 8.9 and Kincaid's was 6. Gabe's role was much different than both of those guys so I would expect his catch percentage to be lower but admittedly it probably shouldn't have been as low as it was.

I like Franklin. The biggest question marks with him are his frame and hands. The speed and shiftiness is definitely there though.

and you know this ‘how’, exactly? Your crystal ball or your crystal meth?
His entire body of work maybe? Or is it the meth you're taking that makes you think a guy who's been a complementary piece on offense for the last 7 years is going to suddenly emerge and become a bonafide #2 guy? Do you also believe Mack Hollins is the replacement for Diggs as well?

OK, I'll amend it: We now have a younger, speedy WR like Tyreek Hill minus the cash payoffs to injury victims.
Why are you so desperate to put them in the same sentence as if they are comparable players?
If you're expecting Samuel to be a good #2 then you're setting yourself up for major disappointment.

All this talk about "We need a young deep threat" in the 1st round. Stop trying to control that which cannot be controlled. Our younger, speed threat is now on the team.
Tyreek Hill, Age 30, 40 time: 4.29
Curtis Samuel, Age 27, 40 time: 4.31
Fair comparison. Look for Brady to use Samuel with a lot of motion and 15 yd slants which go for 30 - 40 yds. Would you take Tyreek Hill as a suitable #2? Yes. I give you a younger Tyreek Hill already on our team.
What a ridiculous comparison

I'm not particularly impressed by our WR room at the moment. I still hope we draft someone early.

I think he's similar to Gabe in that he's better suited as a #3 or 4 WR but will not live up to being expected to be a legit #2.

You said he's a UFA, implying this year, when someone asked if he'd been cut. He's under contract through 2025.
Hmm I don't think that's accurate 🤔

Martin is under contract until 2026 when he becomes a free agent.
That's what I said isn't it?

It may be the prudent move to let Douglas walk considering his age.
I just don’t know what our CB room is going to be like without him?
Tre coming off 2 ACL injuries, Benford who is often injured, and Elam?
Yikes.
Fwiw Tre's injury was his Achilles

I was a bit skeptical about the dollar amount considering his usage in the offense. Since then, his usage has only decreased and we invested a 1st round pick in another TE. This deal looks pretty bad now. Knox is good but should not be making top TE money.

We likely cant afford him.

2024 WR Draft Class

Still a pretty weak room if you ask me. It's hard to see how this team got better so far.
