  1. Even a bad strain's is gonna keep him out for 3/4 of the season. You can’t risk his old ass behind this line
  2. Playing the best defense in the NFL, and perhaps the best we’ve seen since the legion of boom
  3. This has been a brilliant half from Ken Dorsey
  4. Not gonna win every down agains this Dline
  5. I’m a lifelong Bills fan and think they have a great shot at the SB. I didn’t say there were gonna lose to the Phins or Jets. Just pointing out they have some really good strengths that the Bills have to contend with
  6. Literally 3 Buffalo bills and 0 Jets and that’s where Wilson throws it
  7. Nah it’s not, don’t have the horses in the back end. Good QB/WRs are gonna make some hay. Tua and the Phins will get their yards and points
  8. This Jets defense is absolutely absurd front to back. Josh is ELITE
  9. MVP Josh. Good lord he’s so ***** good
  10. Will have to review but looked like a blown gap assignment from someone
  11. Not gonna win running into thjs front. Will have to pass to win
  12. 2 big runs and everything else under 3 yards. Thats ok for now. Really happy with the pass rush to. Better than expected across the board
  13. conservative first half plan. Think they’ll sit in the pocket and let it rip a bit with the oline doing better than anticipated
  14. That was the stupidest thing I’ve seen him do since the lateral
  15. Because he'd play that role in a massively different way than Bernard, to the point you'd have to change the entire coverage scheme. Kirksey is absolutely not playing man on anyone
  16. McDermott can not plug and play Kirksey at Mike in his base defense. He's 31 and played 8 years in the NFL as a linebacker. He's probably a 4.9 at this point in the 40. Just not happening. I mean he wasn't even graded all that high last season. My guess is that he comes only the rare times we run a 4-3 look. But if Bernard can't go, it's gonna be Dodson.
  17. last point about Benford, he came out as a rookie in 22 and WON the Corner job, and didn't lose it - he was injured. It shouldn't be a surprise he's won this job again.
  18. Nothing I've seen on field from Elam suggests to me he's been a bust. In fact he finished the season as our best corner last season - with Benford injured. Despite being a first-round pick in 2022, Elam failed to become a starting cornerback by the start of the season and had an inconsistent rookie year. However, as a former first-round pick, he should have plenty of opportunities to win that position battle. He also finished the season strong, flipping his 56.7 PFF grade in the regular season to 87.1 in two playoff games, a mark that would have ranked second among cornerbacks in the regular season. Rather than seeing this as Elam busting (he's officially listed as Tre's backup FWIW, which is the same line in the depth chart as Jackson), I lean towards thinking McDermott loving Benford.
  19. Roquon is a 3-4 backer which means he's gotta be bigger. Though point made. Bernard is absolutely undersized for the postion, but the hope he's big enough to be a 4-3 Mike.
  20. Benford, I think, is going to end up really good. He's got a lot of great athletic traits to be a zone corner, and he's actually a bit quicker than I thought he'd be. What he showing is better ball skills than pretty much anyone expected
  21. I'm not at all trying to be argumentative or even say I'm confident in Bernard - but McDermott literally never took Milano or Edmunds off the field unless they were injured. Those two played a 100% of the available snaps after week 9. After Week 9 the only other linebacker to play was AJ Klein, and he only barely played. But there is absolutely space for McDermott not liking what he saw out of Bernard in that WK9 Jets game and shelving him.
