  1. Do what I said above - resign Davis, draft a deep threat in R1, and you have both Diggs and Shakir along with Kincaid running those routes Beasley was running and that’s a win
  2. Think they got pretty good value out of him considering he was a 5th round pick
  3. I’d rather have Gabe over any of those guys. He’s pretty underrated right now because of the struggles of the Bills WRs in general, and because he’s a specialist. Thing is he’s got the tools to be a top 5 downfield WR. It’s not a speed thing. It’s body control, eyes, hands and instinct. But all of that means the Bills probably can’t afford him.
  4. I’d bring back Ty Johnson & Harris and then draft a RB in the 5th or so
  5. He really wasn't. Teams can easily scheme away explosives when you have exactly 1 downfield threat. You want to bust 2 high looks, have 2 dudes who can hurt you deep. When Davis was at his best, he had Emmanuel Sanders (who even in 2021 was a 4.3 40 type legit downfield dude) and a faster and more dangerous Stefon Diggs. That helped unlock Davis in that playoff game in a huge way. I really wish the Bills could afford to re-sign Davis. Because I'd love to pair him with someone like Xavier Worthy who can take the top off. Ideally you could do something like this: Deep Option 1: Davis Deep Option 2: Worthy Intermediate/Underneath: Diggs & Shakir Intermediate/Underneath: Kincaid/Knox And mix and match as you go.
  6. Joe started putting together his offense when he was with Sean Payton and the Saints, and continued to evolve it with LSU as the Pass game coordinator. Being wide and vertical were both hall marks of this offense at LSU. So in Carolina, the problem was that they had a horrific OL and a non-mobile QB in Teddy Bridgewater, so couldn't take advantage of a pretty good skill core. They went from middling in 2020 to terrible in 2021. Brady probably also learned some tough lessons in not trying to force concepts you don't have the talent for. I think if Brady could get his ideal prototypes, he'd have an offense that attacks downfield and intermediate, and uses the run game to keep defenses honest and especially use the RBs in the pass game. He's why CEH was a 1st round pick. He showed remarkable maturity this season in going away with what he showed in all his early years, recognizing he simply didn't have down field weapons this season, and transformed the offense into a power, grind offense. If he can add a couple of downfield weapons I think he'll really engage Josh Allen's true strengths
  7. Nah, just AJE, or really none of them. Time to reset the DE depth, you can't do much other than hope Von fully comes back next season. Otherwise the Bills are gonna have to be really creative with their blitzing
  8. Also McDermott was elite in defensive playcalling this past season. Let this dude ramp up being owner of the defensive game plan, and then eventually take over playcalling
  9. And the 6th One Direction member will continue his career in Buffalo
  10. I'm actually stunned at how much rage I carry against the chiefs and Mahomes. Not for being better against our injured and broken roster, but because of how big of aholes they were while doing it. Like taunting the fans after they got that last first down? WTF? You're a multi-millionaire taunting middle class fans who just had to go through all kinds of effort to dig their way out of a freakin blizzard to show up and support their team, and you taunt them in their most painful ***** moment? Like I hope that Franchise gets nuked.
  11. Both DLines did. They weren’t calling holding on either team. Refs decided that DLines weren’t gonna touch the QBs this game. Thag pressure on Allen in the 4th on the Kalil throw in the end zone was basically the only pressure Chris Jones got all day
  12. But that's revisionist isn't it? Did anyone have an issue with Diggs restructure? At the time I think it was pretty much assumed Diggs was gonna be restructured and then extended after this season. He hadn't shown a single sign of coming close to slowing down until about half way this season. But you don't usually restructure younger players because their Base pay and contract length simply makes it not too value added. Those restructures are most valuable on guys who who are into their 2nd and 3rd contracts when their base salaries hike up
  13. This is a year where I wish tanking in the NFL was more acceptable. Have Josh be "injured" for this season. Eat the dead cap space for Diggs & Von. Trade Mitch Morse and his expiring contract, have a 1 year try out for Bates at Center, Don't make any significant FA signing other than some random QB who can help develop young WRs some. Draft WRs and a safety and some interior depth Use your top draft pick in 25 to pick up another stud WR and have some fun in Free Agency Win SB in 25 as Josh gets both comeback player of the year and MVP
  14. I actually think he's a good trade target because he's only got like 4.5M left in signing bonus, and the rest of his guarantees are roster and workout bonuses, which I think a team would take on. But at 14M cap hit I don't think it's a priority to move him unless the Bills get good value back. Bills have an out after 24 season as well which makes it very easy to cut him And add that 13,5M to 25's cap
  15. They also can't eat a 27M cap hit unless they think he can revert to form
  16. You restructure him. Or a Post June 1 designation which spreads a 30M deadcap to the next two seasons, saving you about 12M in cap space this season, and carrying 15M in deadcap in 2025. I would much rather restructure him and see if he bounces back in a less needed role
  17. With Diggs you're adding 12M over the next two years, and with Von about 13M over the next 3 years. Bills lose some deadcap with that, pushing Von to losing ~3M if they cut him after next season, and Diggs you won't be able to cut until 2026 without burning too much deadcap
  18. I'm not quite worried about the cap to be honest. Restructure Diggs ~ 12M Extend Allen (he deserves a much higher salary anyways) or Restructure him ~ 18.8M Restructure Von ~13M You're already up to 43M Extend Dion Dawkins 4 years ~ 10M Extend or Release White ~ 6M Extend Douglas 2 years ~ 4M Bills don't have expensive FAs to re-sign. Davis will walk, Hyde will retire, Poyer will retire (earn more cap savings there). Probably DQ will be retained ($4M). The only one I have a question about is AJE, who I love as a 3rd DE behind GR and Von (who looked decent yesterday). Beane won't be much of a player in the FA market this year, but I do think there's space to add an impact player. For example Budda Baker if negotiations fall through with AZ though I'm not sure Beane would ever sink 14M into a FS
  19. Ideally, I'm drafting someone who can win on the outside, and then allowing Diggs, Shakir, Kincaid and Knox to mix and match the rest of the routes which would be inside/outside
  20. And without the Bills restructuring him I doubt they could have added dudes like Connor McGovern. I don't think it's fair to be critical of Beane for not predicting Diggs' collapse in such a sudden fashion. I mean he was an ELITE WR for half this season. Like sometime you just gotta say "***** happens man" and then deal with the aftermath.
  21. For about 8 weeks he was the best WR in the League. His extension was absolutely deserved. Unfortunately the Bills likely extend him again simply for cap purposes. But I expect them to have an out year after 24/25
  22. I don't think you understand A) how the chiefs defended Allen, and B) the deficiencies of the Bills WR corps in this moment in time
  23. I like Gabe but I'd rather replace him with someone on a rookie contract
