What do you do when you hated someone coming out of college and that person has succeeded all expectations?
You put that person under a microscope and critique everything he does.
Anybody here that has ever had haters in their life knows what’s going on.
The same people that worship Mahomes will try to find the cloud in the silver lining if/when Allen wins a Super Bowl. “Oh his team carried him, he only had 200 yards.” “He’ll never win another one.” “The refs rigged it for him.”

Karma’s coming for that guy.
There’s not enough corporate sponsored draft day hugs out there to stop it.
-
It’s not a terrible thing for the country to start knowing the Bills better. Casual fans have closer connections to Hard Knocks teams.
It would help dispel a lot of false narratives.

Success this year is about restructuring our offensive and defensive philosophy and play calls.

Just don’t screw everything up! And don’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong!

juss gonna leave this here..
That’s the difference between winning and losing the Eagles game right there. Likely another game resulting in the #1 seed. Possibly playoff wins too.- 1

Agree. I think this is the draft that decides if we become a Super Bowl winner the next 3-5 years or a perennial divisional loser.
I think Adonai Mitchell is the target.

Ah, yes. The KC defense just laid down for Allen. Unlike what the Bills defense did for Mahomes this past January. And it was quite a bit more than just "picking on Klein." Half the Bills D was out or hurt.
I'm trying to imagine how much more spectacular Mahomes would have been than Allen if he was on the Bills for the 13 seconds game. I'm not able to muster much. Allen was unreal that game. If the Bills win that coin toss, NFL history is probably a bit different.
You've got 3 Super Bowls, and the consensus top QB in the league. Some even say GOAT. The Bills haven't won a thing. Not sure why you need the vote of confidence for Mahomes from l'il ol' me.
I'm never going to wish the Bills had Mahomes instead of Allen. Sorry 'bout that.
He needs it because Chiefs fans see with their own eyes that Allen is better. They’re insecure.- 1

I also think revamping the coaching will be what sets us apart this year.
We are two years away from a SB in my opinion. But I do see us surprising the country with our record.

We’re plugging holes right now. Why the venom in this thread?

Would be a big time move if we pull it off.
Type of veteran to make your whole defense function at a higher level.

We have enough talent to win 50/50 games with the Chiefs.
But to be that team that is a lock to get the #1 seed and crush the Chiefs, Ravens, and 49ers deep in the playoffs, we need more A players.
We’re 1-2 All-Pros in the right position away from being a wrecking machine/potential dynasty.

Could just be a negotiation strategy.

Out of curiosity what do we think Henry or guys like Barkley or Jacob’s will demand this year? Let’s say on a 2 or 3 year deal.
-
In general, when you have A talent available in spades at a lower price, you should take it.
A world class RB and world class Safety would put us over the top.
We max out at the divisional because we have B players like Cook.

Look, Douglas was worth whatever we lost out on here.
Let’s see the big picture and move on.

So minority hiring actually affects the field of play?
Beginning of the end.

mmhmm. Okay.
We'll see if I'm right.
You would've made the same lame response if I said Allen would be a top QB back in 2019.

Four in a row to balance out karma. Then a 5th as interest for good karma.

When the price is low for elite talent, this is the year to pay for an A+ safety and running back.

Lots of bad Chiefs omens this year.
The fans that died at their friends house. The parade shooting. Amputations from frostbite (WHAT???). Jackson and Brittney Mahomes. Kelce pushing Reid. James Toney drama.
I think it’s their last SB.

Probably not. It sure would be fun though. We would have to pull every lever we had and probably include a couple void years at the end to minimize his cap hit in 2024. Cut Morse, cut White, cut Poyer, maybe even restructure Diggs as much as that seems like a bad idea. All of that plus the extra $12.9 million in cap space, I think it would be feasible and give the current regime one or two last all-in years before they either close the deal or we let another regime handle the rebuild.
Don't think that's the right move. Unless Allen was 37 and this is our last shot to win a title before he retires, there's no need for this. We have a 10 year Super Bowl window right now.

Don't give in on Mahomes yet. Wait til Kelce retires. That's when the real judgement begins.
