I have a dream that one day all teams will be mentioned by sports analysts and not by the size of their market but by the content of their roster.

The Bills might be willing to part with Flynn or Lewis if the offer is right. There's a lot of teams who think that they are in the playoff hunt looking for a better option at QB. If Flynn looks like he knows the playbook in a week or two and he is really showing up Lewis, I could see the Bills trying to get rid of Lewis while the market is hot. Chudzinski has said that he wants to bench Weeden. Lewis was waived by the Browns earlier this season so they have some familiarity with his play and what he is capable of. The Browns might be willing to part with a 2nd(especially since they have two firsts) or 3rd, to get Lewis to guide them into the post-season. This might not sound like a great return especially with how well Lewis has been playing but there are 4 QBs on the active roster right now. Getting some value in return for Lewis or Flynn might seem like a bad idea but with they way the Bills have been drafting a couple extra mid-round picks would do a lot more for the team at this point of a rebuild than a good back-up QB.

Honestly, I'd just go with Tuel. It'd be a bad idea to get a big name FA QB, i.e. Freeman, with the intent to bench him in 4-8 weeks. The Bills do have a lot of cap space but would it be worth being on the hook for an extra 1-2m for the next couple season. Just play Tuel and see if he can ball. If he can, he'll cement himself a roster spot. If he can't the Bills can always address it in the draft or the offseason.

I think the key would be to confuse the Browns D. If I was Hackett, I'd be practicing my "trick plays" to extend the ground game. I'm not sure if the Ravens have terrible run D(They shouldn't on paper) but that reseverses to TJ Graham looked to be really working on Sunday. Faking the reverse is another viable option. With the no-huddle a cute play or two could really open up the game. If EJ is having a bad game and the Browns start stacking 8 in the box, I'd run the play action from Sunday. EJ did a great job of selling it- even the camera guy was fooled. I'd be hesitant to utilize the read-option though as EJ has some ball security issues.

I'm not sure if someone will scoop Pettine up after one good season. But, I would stop saying Ralph is cheap if he gives him a raise to stay here.

Pettine is leagues better than Wannstedt. They need to get Pettine to stay here longer than Wannstedt did.

James Breuil was the owner and they lasted for three seasons.

The O-line looked good but the Patriots were getting v. good penetration if it was for Fitz's quick decision making and Jackson's amazing blocks it could of been a very different game. The line is playing well for the fact that there's a good number of cast-offs within the unit but I wouldn't drink the kool aid just yet. Also, Wood had an uncharacteristically bad game when it came to penalties Overall, there may be some negatives but there are many more things to be happy about especially the run blocking.

The penalty called wasn't a helmet to helmet. The penalty was one of the newer pro-passing penalties. It was something along the lines of hitting a defenseless receiver. Welker was blindsided but I was under the impression that when they made that rule it was intended to apply only to receivers in mid-air but honestly I'm not that familiar with the rule.

If someone told me on Opening Day that the Bills and Lions would be among the last undefeated teams, I would have asked them to pass the crack pipe. It just shows anything can happen in the NFL.

Officiating was pretty bad. It seems like Byrd was assessed a penalty for making a heads-up play and killing Welker's chances for YAC.

NFL 2k5 was the last good football game imo. Apparently, the physics system they used was more realistic than the one Madden uses today o.O They put real emphasis on route running and creating good one on one situations and if you didn't execute a passing play as intended i.e. turning a screen into a hail mary 99% of the time it would not be a completion. While it didn't have have all the ridiculous plays you'd see happen in Madden, it was a much better experience imo.

If he didn't pan out at QB. With his size and rumored 4.3 40 maybe he could become the tight end the bills need. Granted there's a lot of ifs and it'd be a tough transition.
